Our Identity as Saints
As believers, we are called to embrace our identity as saints, which means we are not only saved but also equipped and empowered to live in victory. This victory is not something we must wait for until we reach heaven or until Jesus returns; it is available to us in our everyday lives. The Bible teaches us that we have been given dominion authority, allowing us to take charge of our circumstances and enjoy the benefits of the Kingdom right now.

Living As More Than Conquerors
In Romans 8:37, we are reminded, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” This verse emphasizes that we are not meant to merely survive from day to day, struggling to make ends meet. Instead, we are called to thrive and to recognize the full potential that God has placed within us. The Lord desires for us to step into our authority and use it for His glory.

Shifting Our Mindset
However, many believers struggle with this Kingdom mentality. They often view their daily challenges through a lens of despair, believing that their circumstances will never improve. Philippians 4:19 reassures us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” This promise encourages us to shift our mindset from one of worry and resignation to one of faith and expectation.

The Warrior Mentality
A Kingdom mentality is one that boldly declares, “Bring on the challenges! I was created for this!” It is a warrior mentality, ready to face adversity head-on. Ephesians 6:10-11 instructs us to “be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” This passage reminds us that we are not defenceless; we are equipped to fight for what is rightfully ours.

Confronting the Enemy
In contrast, a slave mentality succumbs to fear and doubt, yielding to the enemy’s lies. But as children of the King, we must stand firm and reclaim our territory. 1 Peter 5:8 warns us, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” We must confront the enemy with confidence, declaring, “This is mine, and you will not take it from me!”

Conclusion: Embracing Our Kingdom Inheritance
In conclusion, embracing our identity as saints means recognizing our authority and living in the victory that God has provided for us. We are called to cultivate a Kingdom mentality, one that empowers us to face challenges with courage and determination. Let us remember that we are more than conquerors, equipped to reclaim what is rightfully ours. As we stand firm in our faith and take authority in Jesus’ name, we will experience the fullness of life that God has intended for us. The choice is ours—let us choose to live as the royalty we are, ready to fight for our inheritance in Christ.

The Importance of the Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is not just a concept; it is the very foundation of our existence. Our lives depend on it in every conceivable way. From the air we breathe to the food we consume, everything in our physical world emanates from the Kingdom of God, crafted by His divine hand during creation. As stated in Genesis 1:26-27, “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness,’” highlighting that we are intricately connected to His Kingdom. It is at the heart of all that we are and all that we experience. God’s every action is driven by His fervent desire to see His Kingdom established on Earth, reminding us that we are part of a grand divine narrative.

The Message of the Kingdom: Our Core Mission

For the Body of Christ, the message of the Kingdom of God is paramount. In fact, it is the only message we have to share. The Kingdom’s proclamation is the essence of the good news, and the Church exists to spread this vital message. As we engage in every sermon, Bible study, ministry, and worship service, our focus must remain on the Kingdom. Jesus emphasized this in Matthew 4:17, where He began His ministry by declaring, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” If we are fulfilling our calling, every aspect of our lives and ministries will reflect this Kingdom focus.

Our Commission: Making Disciples of All Nations

The Kingdom of God must be our highest priority, as Jesus entrusted us with a clear commission: “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). This command is not merely a suggestion; it is a divine mandate to proclaim the Kingdom to a world that is largely unaware of its existence. While humanity is well-acquainted with earthly governments and systems, many remain ignorant of God’s Kingdom. It is our responsibility to enlighten every nation about the arrival of God’s Kingdom and the path to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s Purpose: Manifesting the Spiritual in the Physical

God’s original intention for creating the visible world was to establish His invisible Kingdom within it. He desired to manifest the spiritual realm in our physical reality. This divine plan necessitated the creation of beings who could inhabit physical bodies while possessing the ability to connect with both the spiritual and physical realms. As stated in Genesis 1:27, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” We are designed to reflect His glory and communicate with both realms, fulfilling our purpose as His children.

conclusion

The Kingdom of God is the cornerstone of our existence, shaping every aspect of our lives and the world around us. It is the central message of the Church, guiding our mission to share the good news and make disciples of all nations. As we embrace our divine commission, we must remember that God’s purpose in creating us was to manifest His spiritual Kingdom in the physical world. By understanding our identity as children of God, we can actively participate in establishing His Kingdom on Earth, reflecting His love and grace to all. Let us commit ourselves to this noble cause, knowing that our lives are intricately woven into the fabric of His divine plan.

Who is a king?
A sovereign or monarch is someone who has the highest authority over a country, often by hereditary right. Our Lord Jesus Christ is recognized as the King of the Kingdom of God, referred to as the “King of kings and the Lord of lords” (Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 5:9-10). His birth was announced as the birth of a king, highlighting the main focus of His mission on earth. While His role as a priest was about redemption, His role as a king is eternal. Jesus stated, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is from another place.” When Pilate asked if He was a king, Jesus confirmed, saying, “You are right in saying I am a king. For this reason, I was born and came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to Me” (John 18:36-37).
Revelation 1:5-6 - This passage refers to Jesus as "the ruler of the kings of the earth" and states that He has made believers "to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father." This reinforces the idea of Jesus as King and the establishment of His Kingdom through His followers

The Purpose of The King
Purpose is the reason behind everything. Without understanding our purpose, life can feel aimless, and we may misuse our time and energy. Purpose helps us determine what is right and prevents us from doing good at the expense of what is truly right. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us that while many plans exist in a person’s heart, it is the Lord’s purpose that ultimately prevails. His purpose is to establish his kingdom on earth. Luke 17:20-21 - Jesus explains, "The kingdom of God is in your midst," indicating that His presence brings the Kingdom to people’s hearts, reinforcing the idea that His mission is about transformation rather than establishing a physical kingdom

The Message of The King
Jesus began His ministry by preaching, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near” (Matt. 4:17). This means that He was introducing a kingdom, not a religion. Essentially, He brought a new government to earth. The message of the Kingdom of God is the most significant news for humanity. Jesus came to announce this Kingdom and to establish it in people’s hearts through His death and resurrection. His goal was to declare, establish, and invite everyone to enter the Kingdom of God.

In conclusion, Jesus Christ is recognized as the King of the Kingdom of God, emphasizing His royal authority and the significance of His mission on earth. His birth as a king highlights the establishment of a divine government rather than a mere religious system. Through His teachings, Jesus introduced the Kingdom of God, inviting all to embrace its principles and live in alignment with its purpose. Understanding this purpose is essential for meaningful living, guiding individuals toward truth and right action. Ultimately, Jesus’ mission was to transform hearts and lives, establishing a lasting impact that continues to resonate today.

Subtitle: Components of The Kingdom and The Citizen (Part 4)
In this episode we shall be looking at the components of the kingdom. All kingdoms are comprised of a number of components necessary for them to function effectively. All kingdoms, including the Kingdom of God, have:
1. Health Program: Healing and restoration are integral to the Kingdom, highlighting God’s desire for wholeness in His people.
2. Education Program: The teaching ministry of the Holy Spirit guides believers in truth and understanding.
3. Taxation System: Tithing is presented as a biblical principle, with Jesus emphasizing the importance of balancing tithing with justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42).
4. Communication System: The gifts of the Spirit facilitate communication and ministry within the Kingdom.
5. Diplomatic Corps: Believers are seen as ambassadors of Christ, representing His Kingdom on earth.
6. System of Administration: The Church serves as the vessel for the Ministration of the Spirit, administering God’s will and purpose.
7. Economy: The system of giving and receiving (seed time and harvest) underlines the reciprocal nature of God's provision and blessing.
The Royal Identity of Kingdom Citizens. 1 Peter 2:9: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation…" The Kingdom of God uniquely distinguishes its citizens as relatives of the King and kings themselves, a message brought by Jesus Christ.
The Divine Strategy for Restoration. Romans 5:12: "Sin entered the world through one man…" Adam's disobedience led to the loss of heaven’s Kingdom on earth and the Holy Spirit's departure, necessitating a heavenly restoration program known as God's redemptive work. This program aims to recover and reestablish the Kingdom of heaven on earth and reinstate humanity as its rightful kings.
The Promise of Redemption. Genesis 3:15: "I will put enmity between you and the woman…" The strategy involved the return of the original Adam to restore the fallen one through the Messiah King, who would redeem and reconnect humanity to heaven’s government. This promises foretold God's incarnation as a legal redeemer with the right to achieve this goal.
Living as Ambassadors of the Kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5:20: "We are ambassadors for Christ…" As believers, although we live on earth, our citizenship is in heaven, granting us access to its resources, authority, and power. When asked about our origin, we should reflect carefully on our identity as Kingdom citizens. Thinking and acting like Kingdom citizens enables us to effectively share the gospel and live distinct lives that highlight the difference between the world's kingdoms and the Kingdom of God.
The Tension of Dual Citizenship. Philippians 3:20: "Our citizenship is in heaven…" Humanity faces the tension of being designed for one kingdom while living in another, often leading to feelings of dissatisfaction and purposelessness, as they struggle to define their discontent.
The Design and Purpose of Creation. Ecclesiastes 3:11: "He has made everything beautiful in its time…" Each creation functions best within its intended environment; for instance, a fish out of water suffocates, and a human underwater without assistance drowns.
Conclusion. The Kingdom of God is characterized by its unique structure and the identity of its citizens. Believers are called to live out their royal identity, functioning as ambassadors who reflect the values and principles of God’s Kingdom. Understanding this framework helps Christians navigate their dual citizenship and fulfil their divine mandate in a world that often feels misaligned with their true purpose.

In our previous episode, we began to discuss the essentials of the kingdom in relation to how we live and what we expect to see and live by in the kingdom. We still continue with these essentials as we round it off in this episode.

A Code of Ethics defines the expected behaviour of citizens within the kingdom and how they represent it. This code encompasses moral principles, social interactions, personal behaviour, attitudes, attire, and lifestyle choices.

The Army serves as the kingdom's means of safeguarding its territory and its citizens. It is crucial to recognize that, in a kingdom, citizen benefit from military’s protection. This is why, in the Kingdom of God, angels are referred to as the host of heaven. The term "host" signifies army, identifying the angels as the military aspect of the Kingdom of heaven. This concept challenges our conventional view of the Church as a military force. He unleashed His fierce anger, wrath, indignation, and hostility—a group of destroying angels (Ps. 78:49-50; Ps. 103:20-21; Matt. 13:40b-42).

A Commonwealth refers to the economic system of a kingdom that ensures all citizens have equal access to financial stability. The term "commonwealth" is used because the king desires for all his citizens to share in and benefit from the kingdom's riches. The true glory of the kingdom lies in the well-being and happiness of its citizens. Jesus reassured His disciples, saying, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing” (Luke 12:22-24). He encouraged them to seek His kingdom, promising that these needs would be met. “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:31-32).

The Social Culture is shaped by the life and behaviours of the king and his citizens. This cultural aspect sets the kingdom apart from others, reflecting the nature of the king through the lifestyle of his people. This distinction in Kingdom culture is highlighted in the words of Jesus, who often stated in the Book of Matthew, “You have heard it said… but I tell you” (Matt. 5:21-22), and also, “It shall not be so among you” (Matt. 20:26 KJV). The culture of the Kingdom should be apparent in our everyday actions and interactions.

Conclusion: just as we have said that God’s intention was to colonized the earth through man. As believers, we live on earth but our citizenship is in the Kingdom of heaven, and all the resources, authority, and
power of that Kingdom is available to us as we seek to live as faithful and responsible ambassadors of our King.

Text: Matt. 6:33, Ps. 138:2-3, Ps. 24: 1, Matt 6:8-13
Subtitle: Introducing The Kingdom (Part 2)

In our previous episode, we defined the concept of a kingdom. It’s essential to recognize that God the Creator chose the idea of a kingdom to convey His purpose, will, and plan for humanity and the earth. The Bible’s central message is clearly focused on a Kingdom. Jesus came to earth to restore what Adam had lost, bringing with Him a message of the kingdom. His mission was to reestablish God’s governance on earth and restore His kings to their rightful authority.

We need to grasp that the earth mirrors heaven, as stated: “...let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God desires to colonize the earth through humanity, created in His image and likeness. We will explore the concepts of the kingdom one by one as they relate to our daily lives.

The Constitution represents the covenant between a king and his subjects, articulating the king's thoughts and intentions for his citizens and the kingdom. It outlines the sovereign's intentions and includes the benefits and privileges available to the kingdom's inhabitants. The Bible serves as the Constitution of the Kingdom of God, detailing His will and intentions for His citizens.

The Citizenry refers to those who live under the king's rule. Citizenship in a kingdom is a privilege rather than a right, granted at the king's discretion. The benefits and privileges of a kingdom are accessible only to its citizens, meaning the king’s favour is always a privilege. Once someone becomes a citizen, they enjoy all the rights associated with that status. The king has a duty to care for and protect his citizens, and their well-being reflects on him.
The primary goal of a citizen in a kingdom is to submit to the king, striving to maintain a right relationship with him—this is known as righteousness. This is why Jesus emphasized that the foremost priority for all people is to seek His kingdom.

The Law consists of the standards and principles set by the king, which govern the functioning and administration of his kingdom. All individuals, including foreign residents, must obey these laws. They are the means by which one can access the benefits offered by the king and the kingdom. Violating kingdom law creates discord with the king, disrupting the favourable position one enjoys. The laws of a kingdom cannot be altered by its citizens and are not open to debate or referendum. In essence, the king’s word is law in His kingdom, and rebellion against the law equates to rebellion against the king.

Privileges are the benefits that the king bestows upon his loyal citizens. This aspect of the kingdom differs significantly from other forms of government. In a kingdom, citizenship is sought after because once you belong, the king is directly responsible for you and your needs.
