Woman swallowed by python found dead in Indonesia.

A woman was found dead inside the belly of a snake after it swallowed her whole in central Indonesia, police said Wednesday, the second python killing in the province in a month.

Kogi records 2 confirmed cholera cases.

Kogi seems to be among the six states in Nigeria that have mild cases of cholera, recording only two confirmed cases.

The State Commissioner for Health, Mr Abdullazeez Adam, who disclosed this in Lokoja, said cases were confirmed with one victim treated and discharged.

“The other victim is doing well on treatment,” he added.

Minna-The multimillion Naira Zungeru Hydro Electricity Dam in Niger state has been hit by an explosion.

The explosion occurred early morning of today. The real cause of the explosion is yet unknown.

President Bola Tinubu has approved an uplift grant under the National Construction and Household Support Programme for 3.6m Nigerian families.
This initiative will deliver N50,000 to 100,000 families in each state for three months.

China to increase agricultural imports from Nigeria after FG’s N572 billion exports to Asia

The Chinese government has promised to increase agricultural product imports from Nigeria going forward.

This was disclosed in a joint statement between Wang Yi, China’s foreign affairs Minister and his Nigerian counterpart, Yusuf Tuggar, at the first plenary meeting of the China-Nigeria Intergovernmental Committee held in Beijing.

This is after Nigeria exported N572.58 billion worth of agricultural products to the Asian market including China, according to data from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

"Luxury Jets for Tinubu, Suffering for Nigerians" - PRP blasts the Presidency.

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) has condemned the president's decision to acquire new luxury jets for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling it indifferent to the real problems of the people. In a statement released on Monday, the PRP criticized the government for prioritizing the president's comfort over the welfare of Nigerians who are struggling with economic difficulties and poverty.

The PRP questioned the rationale behind the purchase, considering the current economic situation in the country, and noted that the presidential jet acquired in 2003 is only 19 years old. The party asked why the government is not learning from other countries, such as China and the USA, which use their presidential jets for 24 and 34 years respectively.

The party demands that the government reconsider these wasteful expenses and focus on providing tangible benefits for the Nigerian people. The PRP called on all well-meaning Nigerians to join them in condemning this reckless extravagance and to demand better governance from their leaders.
