I've heard a Lot of people say they are interested in modeling, but they are not taking it seriously.
Modelling is a business you have to invest in to gain a return.
Stop seeing modeling as a charity organization and see it as a business.

These are tips that will help you succeed in modelling or pageantry.

1. To become a model, you need to be wise.There are so many fake agencies and pageant organizers out there. Make sure the agency or pageant you want to work with or work for is registered.

2. Work on your picture portfolio. This means going for photoshoots so that when an agency or a pageant organizer requests your pictures, you can send them professional pictures.

3. Be active on social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.). Post your professional pictures on your social media pages as well.

4. To become a model, you need to scout for modelling jobs and pageants.
There are many old and new legit live and online pageants and contests that you can partake in.

One thing you should know is that being a model isn't a day job; you need to be consistent, you need to build yourself, don't encourage laziness, and don't just sit there and wait for things to happen.
Step out and make things happen.

9 facts about modelling that every model should know.

1. Modeling is a job. Therefore work hard and be constant.

2. Photoshoots are not as glamorous as they seem. Behind a campaign photo, there are many hours of work.

3. One casting is not enough. All the models (even the most recognized ones) have had to go to thousands of castings and have been rejected more than once.

4. In the beginning, it’s not a well-paid job. As in any other industry, you have to grow professionally and be recognized in order to have a good salary.

5. There is no specific age to be a model. The sooner you start the more chances you have to meet more people in the industry, to be able to start as a model and climb up the ladder. However, you can also start at a later age.

6. What matters is attitude. A model has to be able to express or convey through a photo, and that can only be achieved by having an attitude.

7. The mirror is your best friend. All models have had to spend hours practicing in front of a mirror to learn how to pose in a quick and natural way.

8. Patience is essential. In this industry, you always have to wait. Whether it’s for a fashion show, a photoshoot, a casting.

9. Be prepared for NO. A lot of people want to be a model, that’s why you have to be prepared to be rejected. You have to understand that it’s nothing personal and that all models have been rejected at least once.
