Fibroids (Symptomatic) dealt with me but MERCY said NO.

I am that woman. The one who endured two fibroid surgeries in the same year. But today, 365 days later, I stand here with a heart full of gratitude for God's mercy and grace.

Exactly one year ago, on December 8th, 2023, I was wheeled into the operating theater for a myomectomy.

It was a life-changing experience, but before that, I had spent years battling the pain and the many challenges that came with it.

The pain was unbearable sleepless nights filled with excruciating discomfort. My stomach became so enlarged that doctors told me it looked like I was 28 weeks pregnant. It was difficult to even stand up, and I found myself constantly rushing to the bathroom due to frequent urination.

Alongside the physical pain, my blood levels kept dropping, and my menstrual flow became so heavy that I had to rush home to change clothes. Wearing black and loose clothing became my norm, as I tried to cover up the growing belly. It was a constant reminder of the struggles I faced, and it brought an overwhelming sense of uncertainty. I almost succumbed to depression, unsure of how to cope with the relentless challenges of fibroids.

Financially, the non-invasive treatments I sought were draining, and the constant search for solutions felt exhausting.

My health seemed to be deteriorating, and it all culminated in a breathing crisis that led to the decision for my second surgery, the myomectomy.

It was then that I saw the true power of Godโ€™s intervention, bringing me through the darkest moments to a place of healing.

I want to express my deepest thanks to my family and close friends, whose unwavering support kept me going. Your love, prayers, and presence were a constant source of strength. I also want to thank the Fibroid Care Center for their dedicated efforts with non-invasive treatments and the University of Benin Teaching Hospital for their swift, professional care that ultimately saved my life. You played a crucial role in my healing journey, and I am forever grateful.

To every woman out there struggling with fibroids, I want you to know this: You are not alone.

Fibroids may seem like an insurmountable challenge, but I am here to tell you that there is hope.

Through my experience, I found the strength to push forward, and so can you.

The pain, the financial struggle, and the emotional toll donโ€™t define you, what defines you is your resilience, your faith, and your will to live beyond the suffering.

As a result of this journey, I founded Fruit of the Day with Kobi to help others take control of their health through healthy eating habits and a focus on reducing inflammation.

My goal is to inspire others to embrace a healthier lifestyle, one that supports the healing process and empowers women to take charge of their health.

Kobi's Sweet but horrible experience.
Part 1.

It's exactly 365 days ago and around this time that I lost a very important tool, one of the cheapest phones at the wrong time and at the wrong place.

I wept uncontrollably like a baby. Not because of the value of what was stolen while the phone was at the charging point.

I wept for whoever stole the phone.

I wept for the reason behind him or her coming to such an environment to steal from anybody in that environment.

I kept asking why would someone do such in such an environment? I kept wondering the kind of karma such a person would face when any of the victims cried to God.

We had just landed from an interstate journey to a hospital for a scheduled major surgery. Hopeful for the best outcome but as humans, still worried about what we are to face.

While charging one of our phones, we were beckoned that it was our turn to see the doctor before we were taken to the ward.

I left, thinking it was a hospital and no sane person would think about stealing as almost everyone there came with one problem or the other.

To my greatest surprise. I returned to see that the pouch was neatly leaned to the wall with the charging cord in the same position as though the phone was still intact. Touched it and the phone was gone ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

The number of the driver that would come and carry us from the hospital to our state after the surgery was only in that phone. He wasn't someone we knew before. It's an environment that my kid sister was not conversant with. That was the only phone we could make payments from. We were in disarray ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ.

The Amazing Transformation of Mr. Chinedu.

Mr. Chinedu had always been a man of routine. He had lived most of his life the same way, a steady job, the same meal every day, and a quiet, predictable existence.

But over the years, his weight began to pile on. Slowly, it affected not just his health, but his happiness too.

He had become tired all the time, unable to do simple tasks without feeling breathless.

His knees ached, and his doctor warned him that his health was in serious trouble.

Even his wife, Mama Nkechi, noticed the changes. "Chinedu, you're becoming a shadow of yourself," she would say, her voice full of concern.

But Mr. Chinedu didnโ€™t listen. He had always been stubborn, believing that it was too late to change.

Then, one rainy afternoon, something unexpected happened. While lying on the couch, flipping through old photos of when he was healthier, Mr. Chinedu suddenly had a sharp pain in his chest. His heart raced, and for a moment, he thought it was the end.

He panicked, and Mama Nkechi rushed him to the hospital.

The doctor was blunt. "Mr. Chinedu, if you donโ€™t make some serious changes, your next visit might be for something far worse."

That night, as Mama Nkechi sat beside him, tears in her eyes, Chinedu realized that he was slowly losing everything he cared about, his health, his marriage, his life.
