Nigeria, your story, we heed the call.
Land of diversity, a tapestry wide,
Where cultures entwine, side by side.
From Yoruba's grace to Igbo's might,
In Hausa's warmth, we find our light.
Injustice and hardship, never erased.
Remember Lekki's tollgate, a night etched in pain,
Where soldiers stood, and shots rang like rain,
Innocents fell, their dreams taken away,
Yet the truth stands strong, it won't decay.
The government's denial, a bitter pill,
Yet in hearts of the youth, a fire burns still,
And through it all, our spirit stands strong,
A testament to resilience, against all wrong.
Oh Nigeria, your people so brave,
In trials and triumphs, you've shown the way.
In the depths of sorrow, you've found your song,
In the face of injustice, you've stood strong.
On this Independence Day, we honour you Nigeria,
your spirit, forever we'll pursue.
