FRUITFULNESS
Many people in our world today have viewed fruitfulness from the lense of material acquisition and not from the lense of purpose.
The question now is, have you been able to identify what investment of God that is in your life and what is the level of His investment in your life? He gave some 5 talents, some others 2 talents and to others 1 talent. The talents in your possession is the level of trust God has in you which equate to his investment in your life.
Jesus said in Matthew 25:14 KJV
For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
Looking at the scripture above, our focus will be on the last part of the scripture. "...and delivered unto them his goods." That scripture emphasises on the fact that each of the servants had the goods of the master in their possession. That goods simply implies the investment of God in us.
I have had the opportunity of having interactions with lots of people in this world and many of them have given reasons to proof that they don't have any talent which implies that God never invested anything of worth in their lives. Well, John 1:9 KJV proofed them otherwise. The scripture stated "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. " This scripture made us understand that every man that has found himself alive on this planet earth has a light and light in itself is God's investment in your life.
Matthew 25:15 KJV states;
And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Looking at the scripture above, I want to confidently inform you today that the capacity of the talents invested in your life was dependent on your trustworthiness with God. Let me remind you that what really matters to God in the business of His kingdom is the souls of men and we are all here to play our part in the master plan of God here on earth. You are part of God's plan at this particular point in time for the earth and the souls of men.
Have you identified God's investment in your life? Are you being profitable with his investment in your life by bearing precious fruits?
Today, I look at the likes of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Spinach, Dunsin Oyekan and I wonder at the level of trust and investment God has in them because even till today, they are still bearing fruits and taking territories for the kingdom of our dear God.
What talent do you have in your possession? Talent is not limited to standing on the pulpit alone. You probably might be the financial pillar of his kingdom at this time or the golden voice of music for healing and salvation for this time or the intercessor required for the body of Christ at this time. Are you being fruitful? Are you bringing in good returns on his investment in you? The second part of Matthew 25:15 states that "...to every man according to his several ability." God knows your ability and the capacity of grace you have for his investment and he will never demand more than he expects of you and you should also ensure you put his investment to its fullest use.
Matthew 25:16-18 KJV states;
Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Have you then asked yourself if you have started trading with his investment in your life? It is not enough to just identify God's investment in your life without trading with it. You don't have to be like the guy that received one talent and went aheaɗ and buried it because he feels God had given him an investment that did not give him the stardom and fame he expected.
Matthew 25:20-27 KJV states;
And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
and I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
The truth is that you can never be a looser if you traded accordingly with God's investment upon your life. God is not unfaithful never to reward you, He will reward you greatly. It doesn't matter if you bury his investment in you or you traded with it, he will surely reward you.
Matthew 25:28-29 KJV states;
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
More reason why we have many people on earth today complaining and lamenting over why the rich are getting richer and poor getting poorer. God doesn't tolerate unfruitful people at all, he will retrieve from those who are unfruitful straight away and give to those that are fruitful though, they have it in abundance. Just like Jesus stated in Matthew 21:43 KJV
Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
From the scripture above, Jesus was talking with the chief priests and elders of the Jews in the temple and reminding them of the fact that they have been shadow boxing with God's investment upon the nation of Isreal and sooner or later, it will be given to the nation that is bringing forth fruits and it did happen when the gospel was brought to the gentiles.
Matthew 3:10 KJV
And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Now, there is an urgency in the realm of the spirit for us to bear much fruits for the kingdom because the axe is already laid unto the roots of every tree not bringing forth fruit. Are you utilising God's investment of oratory in your life to win souls for the kingdom of God or you're busy bringing forth bad fruit through adultery and fornication? Because the scripture above emphasized on "good fruit". You probably might be fruitful but not bringing forth good fruit. Apostle Paul writing to the church in Colosse stated "that ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Colossians 1:10 KJV, this scripture also emphasized on our Fruitfulness "in every gooɗ works"
I pray that the grace of God will be ministered upon our lives to be fruitful and be more fruitful for the kingdom of our dear God in Jesus mighty name.
