Let’s not use the kids to fight old wounds- OAP Dotun’s estranged wife,Taiwo, writes as she reveals he can now see their kids anytime he wants

In a post she shared on her IG page this afternoon, Taiwo mentioned that they had always had it easy with sharing the kids as Dotun had them for over a month in July last year. She said they began to have issues when Dotun posted a video of them on TikTok and she expressed her concerns over the negative comments dropped by his followers. She said Dotun blasted her and went on to block her on all platforms. She said last December when he was to have them for holiday, she said they got into an argument when she asked that he brings them after Christmas so they can spend the New Year with her.

Taiwo accused Dotun of humiliating her while they were married. She said when God ‘showed up’ for him, he began to berate her for not being able to f¥ck well, wear makeup or take pictures. She said Dotun knew she never cared for these things.

“You almost k!lled the human being in me” she wrote

Taiwo went on to add that Daddy Freeze who is fighting for justice for Dotun knows what he is capable of doing.

Dotun is yet to respond to her claims.

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, has said that results of the November 11 governorship elections in Kogi, Imo and Bayesla states would be transmitted according to the provisions of the Electoral Act.

Yakubu said this in reaction to Bayelsa State Resident Electoral Commission (REC), Mr. Obo Effanga, saying that election result in the state would be transmitted manually.

The INEC Chairman who was monitoring the mock accreditation exercise in Lokoja, Kogi State yesterday ahead of the coming polls, said;

“Please disregard whatever anyone has said about the transmission of results.”

Yakubu who also expressed satisfaction with preparation for the polls, noted that security challenge remains a major concern in Kogi.

CBN lifts Forex restrictions on importation of 43 items

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has finally lifted the foreign exchange restrictions it placed on the importation of 43 items eight years ago. In a statement released on Thursday, October 12, the director of corporate communications of the bank, Dr. Isa AbdulMumin, said a significant change has been made in the foreign exchange market policy.

Importers who were previously restricted from purchasing foreign exchange for 43 specific items, as outlined in the 2015 Circular referenced as TED/FEFPC/GEN/O1/010 and its addendums, are now allowed to participate in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market to buy foreign currency for their transactions.

As of October 2021, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had restricted access to Forex from FX market for the following 43 items: Rice, cement, Margarine, Palm kernel, palm oil products and vegetable oils, Meat and processed meat products and Vegetables and processed vegetable products. Others are: Poultry and processed poultry products, Tinned fish in sauce (Geisha)/sardines, Cold rolled steel sheets, Galvanized steel sheets, Roofing sheets, Wheelbarrows, Head pans, Metal boxes and containers, Enamelware, Steel drums, Steel pipes, Wire rods (deformed and not deformed), Iron rods and reinforcing bars.

Also included on the list were: Wire mesh, Steel nails, Security and razor fencinpoles, Wood particle boards and panels, Wood fiberboards and panels, Plywood boards panels, Wooden doors, Toothpicks, Glass and glassware, Kitchen utensils, Tableware, Tiles-vitrified and ceramic.
Textiles, Woven fabrics, Clothes, Plastic and rubber products, polypropylene granules, cellophane wrappers and bags, Soap and cosmetics, Tomatoes/tomato pastes, Eurobond/foreign currency bond/ share purchases, Piston crowns, Ball bearings, High voltage cables, Transformers/switch gears and Gas cylinders were also on list.

In the statement released, AbdulMumin said the CBN is actively working to address the existing backlog of foreign exchange transactions.

President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ola Olukoyede to serve as the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for a renewable term of four years in the first instance, pending Senate confirmation.

A statement released by presidential media aide, Ajuri Ngelali, says Ola Olukoyede is a lawyer with over twenty-two (22) years of experience as a regulatory compliance consultant and specialist in fraud management and corporate intelligence.

‘’He has extensive experience in the operations of the EFCC, having previously served as Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman (2016-2018) and Secretary to the Commission (2018-2023). As such, he fulfills the statutory requirement for appointment as Chairman of the EFCC.'' Ajuri said

Olukoyede's appointment follows the resignation of the suspended Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa.

Ajuroi added that President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda to serve as the Secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for a renewable term of five years in the first instance, pending Senate confirmation.

‘’Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda is a public administrator with extensive experience in public finance management who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maiduguri and a Masters in Business Administration from the same university. He began his career as a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi. From there, he went into banking, including successful stints at the defunct Allied Bank and Standard Trust Bank.'' the statement reads in part
