Cultivating Divine Presence 1:
Wise behaviour

"And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with him." 1Sam 18:14

Salvation is for all who believe in Christ but divine presence is not for the frivolous. Divine presence is conditional. God is choosy regarding whom He commits to. Your behavioral pattern in all your ways must align with His word, (His wisdom) to enjoy His presence. He comes to those who love him enough to make his word their conversation.

"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." Jn 14:21

Again:
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. Jn 14:23.

Again Jesus himself walking by this rule testified:

"And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him." Jn 8:29.

Psalm 101 is an example of wise behaviour.

Life and mental capacity

God won't bless you beyond your mental capacity!

"And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey" Matthew 25:15

Your mental capacity is like a receiving bowl, no matter the volume of the downpour, you cannot sustain God's blessing beyond it.

God is able to do exceeding abundantly above what you ask or think but only according to this power (or ability ) at work in you. Folks ask for the big but have small bowls (small capacity). Some even carry leaking bowls. Your detailed mental capacity to sustain a blessing must be more than your simple ability to ask or think it.

How do I know my measure? very simple: How you think right now is your measure! For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. To receive more, therefore, you must constantly develop your mental capacity, you must acquire more ability to obtain, retain and sustain!
This validates Romans 12:1-2. The rate of your transformation derives from the rate of your mind renewal or mind development.

How do I enlarge my mental capacity and toughness? Read! Read!! Read!!! Travel, Get exposed, hear the word constantly, stay updated, sharpen your mind with a mentor, practice your knowledge to gain experience by which it's converted to wisdom. See failure as part of the ingredients for success. By all means, grow your mental capacity, everything will grow with it.

Affirm God in the face of your challengers!

Both Caleb and David operated with the spirit of faith when they acknowledged God in the face of their challengers. Measuring yourself with your challengers is not wise!
The prophet told Jehoshaphat "the battle is the Lord's". The fires may be intense but the Hebrew boys took this higher ground. Both father Abraham and mother Sarah acknowledged God (as faithful and able) above their obviously strong challenges. If you are in charge, you stand no chance!
