- Know your skin tone and what metals and gemstones complement it. ---- Knowing your skin tone and what jewelry complements it can help you choose pieces that will look great on you. Different metals and gemstones look better on different skin tones.
For example, warm skin tones look great with gold and copper, while cool skin tones look great with silver and platinum. Likewise, different gemstones complement different skin tones.
