300 level Funaab student, Idowu Christianah has been allegedly murdered by her friend who kidnapped her after he initially demanded for N3M ransom from her family.

On the 19th of August 2024, Christiannah Idowu went missing. Her parents got a call from her kidnappers using her own WhatsApp. They asked for N1,500,000 as ransom. The parents managed to gather N350,000 quickly and sent it to a bet account through a bank deposit.
Later, the kidnapper wanted the sender’s bank statement. The parents sent it, but then the kidnapper went silent.
On the 22nd of August, money was transferred to Christiannah’s GTB account and then moved to a Wema Bank account owned by the main suspect. This then led to further investigation as the suspect had a connection with Christiannah Idowu.
On that same 29th, they confirmed the suspect’s identity through the BVN linked to the betting account. The suspect, ADELEYE AYOMIDE withdrew N100,000 before the betting account was locked.
Armed by these information, operatives began investigation into the suspect. The operatives began to track down his cell phone activities and text messages. The cell phone tracking led them to his parent’s house, somewhere in IKORODU, LAGOS, NIGERIA.
Operatives then got confirmation of his presence in the building through active tracking of his mobile device. Immediately, gallant personnel of the Nigerian army swooped in on the suspect to conduct arrest.
