THE MYTH REGARDING BROILER FEED.

You can actually give your Broiler birds grower feed for day old to maturity they won't die but your end result will tell maybe you're right or wrong.

You can as well give your Broiler birds starter feed from day old to maturity they won't die but your cost of production will tell.

You can as well give your Broiler birds finisher from day old to maturity they won't die but just that they won't develop some body structure as expected.

Then, what is the right feed for broiler?

Before we can rightfully answer the above question we need to know the nutritional requirements of the birds first because that's what will determine the feed needed

If you noticed from the above information the energy content is increasing while the protein content is decreasing.

That's why we have super starter, starter and finisher. Some commercial company will label them like 510,511,512

Broiler doesn't need grower feed and the older they become the less protein needed in their system.

I posted the attached picture as the result from our birds at day 7 using our self feed formulation. People are attacking me that it's a lie.

It is because the result is from self feed formulation
Or
240g at day 7 is not possible.

Actually, I think we have passed the test of maybe the feed is good in terms of well being. There are several causes of early mortality in chicks but one of them is poison either from water, feed or environment.

But to God be the glory I don't think we have ever experienced mortality due to poison from feed because it was prepared by us.

The reason for above sentence is because of those with the mindset that self feed formulation kill their birds and those asking for lab test.....all the best.

The norms is that the initial weight at arrival should be times (3) three on day 7.

At day 7 we are having 220g average weight. Their weight is between 200g to 250g.

In respect to the cost of the feed I think we're trying our best, even with too much heat.

As at yesterday new hope professional #16,000 per bag. 4 bags 64,000. Foodlite feed 4 bags #52,000.

Commercial feed company no send anybody we're all in business together.

Success is predictable, no one has ever stumble to become successful overnight.

If all we do as poultry farmers is try and luck, therefore without any argument we don't have any chance and I don't think that's business at all.

Like some of the application we have in our phones within 2-3months, they need to be updated, so as you and me. If you can't repeat or move from past success, something is wrong. Part of your ideas last year will help you this year but if no knowledge is added to it, you may not even get better result like before because life is progressive.

Or are you discouraged because of failures or mistakes. Let me be sincere with you no body is perfect and those failures has vital role in our life and funny enough those failure has become part of my income today.

It's no longer news that we have been compounding feed for our birds for the past 3 years but we're pushing to achieve 4 kg in six weeks.

Actually, it is not a big deal but our main aim is to produce quality feed at reasonable cost to get good result.

The last production was excellent but we have improve the feed combination for better result. Irrespective of our yesterday result we believe there's room for more.

It is easy to talk from intellect but it can not be compared to practical experience. Am not sharing guess idea with you, all you see me post is what I have already practiced.

Join us again as we start the journey this Year.

This time we'll be using Ross 308.

There's no point feeding beyond customer's budget. After 6 weeks, we started given our birds 120g/bird each day.

We can actually gain above 4kg in 8 weeks with our self feed formulation but what of the buyers?

If we spend more and customers can't afford, it doesn't make sense. Selling them 7k, 8k per bird I don't think is too much.

We thank God for the journey so far.

GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION.

Some farmers have giving up and pack up while some have giving up but haven't pack up. Irrespective of the category you find yourself I don't think there's any smooth ride business out there.

The major challenge I noticed is that the cost of production is not moving in equilibrium to the selling price and another factor is lossing their stock due poor management.

One thing have learnt over the years is that failure is part of success story. Success is not permanent and failure is not final. Never stop working after success and never stop trying after failure.

Success is not what you seek but what you attract by who you're becoming. Developing yourself most especially in some areas you know you need development bring you possible opportunity to become successful.

You don't wish to be successful, but develop yourself to attract success.

Your business is the reflection of who you are, your business response to you. No business grow beyond their management.

For feed formulation class, people say #5,000 is too much ?

My first training was #10,000 at 2017 and thereafter I can count 1-5 classes I have attended just to improve myself. And frankly speaking I have gained 100 folds of all amount I paid for all the training

Based on what you'll be learning 5,000 is not too much.

I pray the price comes down but let us be real with ourselves it won't, as far as cost of raw materials is not coming down.

Full fat soya and Soya bean meal are source of protein used in feed formulation for birds derived from plant.

Both can be use in feed formulation, the difference is that SBM is cheaper compare to full fat soya and full fat soya contain fat content than SBM.

It's not advisible to use full fat soya for pullet

According to new hope feed company, 50 Broiler is expected to eat 7 bags of feed for 5 weeks to gain 2,kg body weight.

To my surprise our birds didn't eat upto 7 bags for 5weeks to attain that body weight.
