My father passed away at 62. I was sa.d, I was an.gry, I was pained. I always feel jealous when I see people celebrating their fathers 70th and 80th Birthday. I am always like why didn't Papilo lived up to 80? Why 62? Why not even 70?

Then I started seeing young men who passed away at 50 leaving children who were still in secondary school behind...
I saw posters of men who passed away at 40 leaving toddlers behind, children who can't make decisions on their fathers fu.neral... and somehow, I became grateful.

I became grateful that my father lived long enough for me to be aware and mature enough to make decisions and planned his fu.neral.

I became grateful that my father lived long enough for me to tell his story.

It is an underated privilege to be old enough to plan and bvry your parents.

Then my brother passed away at 17 about 5 months after I lost my father, I felt like shebi if my brother lived up to 62 years I would be grateful?😒

Why didn't my brother stayed with us till 50 or even 40?

Then I started thinking, what if my brother was a still born and I never get to see him, know him, hug him, take photos and make videos of him?

What if he passed away as a toddler where I can't say anything about his personality?

Anywhere you find yourself in life's journey, be grateful because that point in life you think is not a privilege, someone wishes they get to that point.

Someone is actually praying to get there.

Spend this week to count your blessings not your neighbours blessings,
Count your blessings not your looses.

Your today is someone's tomorrow's prayer point.
