‘Toto Has Been Betrayed Again’ -Egbira Youths Tackles Wadada Over Alleged Lopsided Appointment

Egbura youths in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have cautioned Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada who represents Nasarawa West in the Nigerian Senate over his style of representation.

The youths under the aegis of Egbira Youth Movement, EYM accused Senator Wadada of lopsided appointment and neglect.

They made this known in a statement issued by the Caretaker Chairman of the association, Comrade Ibrahim Obaraze on Monday, lamenting that the area “has been betrayed again and even his data boys are afraid to speak because there is nothing to explain”.

“On a major highway (Keffi-Abuja road), a signboard written boldly thanking Kokona, Keffi, Karu and Nasarawa for their support excluding TOTO from those that voted him is not a small slap on us.

“Omitting Toto by Senator Wadada from the list of his supporters, serves as a stark reminder of the perceived neglect and betrayal felt by the good people of the area.

“We remembered vividly how we rejected the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC because of imposition and aligned ourselves with the Social Democratic Party, SDP, thereby massively voting for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada.

“The Egbira Youth Movement in our normal polite way we are calling on who ever place that signboard to as a matter of urgency bring it down and make the nessesary correction.

“Additionally, we implored Senator Wadada to reconsider his appointments and prioritize equitable representation for all the local government in his constituents.

“Lastly, let him be told that we have not seen any of his project in any part of Toto LGA.

“Effective representation requires more than mere rhetoric; it demands tangible action that benefits all local governments within the constituency.

“While we do not issue threats, we caution Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to address our concerns promptly, lest we exercise our constitutional right to seek alternative leadership,” the statement reads further.

Alhaji Yunusa Muhammad Idris has paid homage to the paramount ruler of Toto local government and the Ohimegye Opanda, Agaba Idu, HRH. Usman Abdullahi at his palace Umaisha Kingdom Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

EFCC Chairman Demanded $2million Bribe from me, says Gov. Matawalle

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has accused the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, of demanding a two million dollars bribe from him.

He made the allegation during an interview with BBC Hausa on Friday, amid the ongoing rift between the governor and the anti-graft agency.

The PUNCH reports that in a statement on Wednesday, Matawalle called for Bawa’s resignation, saying he had questions to answer on corruption.

However, the EFCC Chairman responded that he had nothing to hide while asking Matawalle to petition appropriate authorities if he had any evidence against him.

However, speaking during an interview with BBC Hausa, Matawalle insisted that Bawa could not be trusted.

Matawalle said, “It is not just to always blame governors. It is not only governors who have treasury, the federal government also has. What does the EFCC boss do to them? As he is claiming he has evidence on governors, let him show the world evidence of those at the federal level.

“If he exits office, people will surely know he is not an honest person. I have evidence against him. Let him vacate the office, I am telling you within 10 seconds probably more than 200 people will bring evidence of bribes he collected from them. He knows what he requested from me but I declined.

“He requested a bribe of two million dollars from me and I have evidence of this. He knows the house we met, he invited me and told me the conditions. He told me governors were going to his office but I did not. If I don’t have evidence, I won’t say this.”

When contacted for a reaction, the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency, Wilson Uwujaren, said he had not seen the story or read the allegation, and hence could not respond.

Thugs in orange market beats Nasarawa State Judiciary Staffs Mr. Dauda and one other in the cause of their legal duty.

In a High Court suit filed by one Alhaji Sani Zangina challenging the title of the entire market against the it’s chairmen along with all registered associations operating in the market, On the 17th May, 2023 the staffs went to the market to paste the processes of the court at the gate of the market as ordered by High Court 3 Mararaba Jodge, the thugs of the market started raining slaps on them and the key of their motorcycle was immediately seized by the thugs.

Only with the intervention of one elderly person, the thugs allowed the staffs of the court to get out of the market without doing their legal duty despite the fact that the chairman of the market is a sitting house member of the Nasarawa State representing keffi west.

When contacted, the JSC Secretary Yahaya Yakubu Shafa Esq. confirm the incident and promised to do the needful as the matter is before him already and the needful would be done with immediate effect.

SOME BIG SHOTS IN NASARAWA STATE ARE WORKING AGAINST DEVELOPMENT Of MUHAMMADU BUHARI INTERNATIONAL MARKET LOCATED IN MARARABA KARU LOCAL GOVERNMENT -Sani Zangina Alleges

Some big shots in Nasarawa state have been accused of working tirelessly and doing everything possible to prevent the growth and development of the Muhammadu Buhari International Market situated in Mararraba of Karu local government area of the state.

Sani Ahmad Zangina, the former Chairman of Land and Housing Agent in the Karu local government area of Nasarawa state and Chairman of Karamchi Online Media made the allegation while interacting with journalists in Nasarawa State.

Sani Ahmad pointed out that although the matter is currently in court, according to him, some “minority’s big shots in the state” are plotting to underdeveloped Muhammadu Buhari International Market, and setting him.

Zangina dissociated himself from all the allegations made against him saying; “To God be the glory, today, I called you to inform you of the current condition of the case between me and the Chairman of Orange market in Mararraba town. There have been a lot of accusations against me which include the Nasarawa state government funding me to trouble their business activities at Orange market”.

“I want to make it clear and also dissociated myself from these accusations. People come to me and asked about this, and that’s the reason I invited the press men to communicate to the general public to clear the air. I am not under the sponsorship of anyone let alone the government. The government is doing its duty, and I am also demanding my rights”, he stressed.

Zangina also added that he has convincing evidence that it was not the government that took the burden of standing in the court; “Of course! The first evidence you can see is that the lawyer representing me in the case is my lawyer. Is not the government that hires him to stand for me. He is already my lawyer that looks upon my activities of land and housing.

“Secondly, the court where the case is proceeding every time I come the staff see me. I always come alone with few people that were known standing behind me always”, he emphasized.

Zangina said he is optimistic that his prayers before the court will be served in his favour. He said he prayed for the court to grant an order to stop unloading goods and services on his land at Orange Market and grant an order to unload them at Muhammadu Buhari International Market. He said, this, according to him could develop the market.

He also called on the Nasarawa state government, particularly, Governor A. A Sule to interfere, where he said he hopes his message will reach the governor.

“The government has the power of God. Those who made these accusations against me that is the government that sent me because the government wants to take away the market, or something like that. It has become obvious to the world that if they are looking at the people that slowed the development of the Muhammadu Buhari International Market, then they have revealed themselves. They openly showed themselves”, he alleges.

“I hope if God wills, this message goes before him (Governor A. A Sule), he will look into it and see the kind of conspiracy well planted to avert the development of Muhammadu Buhari International Market and to also see the people's plan to collapse the market to serve the self-centred idea of some big shots minority's in the state”, he lamented.

Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi was the speaker of 5th and currently the Speaker of the 6th assembly. He's well experienced legislator who deserve to be re-elected again to serve as the speaker of 7th assembly.

Balarebe is a party man, a down-to-earth politicians, a public servant, is a good governance advocate and grassroots development champion.

Hon. Balarebe is very friendly among his colleagues because he is accessible, amiable, humble and a generous man who is always willing to listen and assist to the best of his ability.

He has a high reputation for fairness and justice, which he demonstrated as Speaker of 5th and 6th Assembly that's why he was nicknamed Mr. Equity by the honourable members.

Balarebe is a nationalist, a grassroots man and highly experienced. He is also development focused, a family man and a right choice for 7th assembly Speaker.

It is believed in Nasarawa state that the current speaker of the state assembly has stabilised the assembly despite party differences till date.

As such, I call on all elected members NSHA, Nasarawa State Government and critical stakeholders in the state to unanimously agreed to endorsed Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Balarebe as the speaker of the 7th assembly.

Employment Opportunities: Electoral gains and matters arising

It is elections week and while campaigns are gradually heating up to a close, only politicians with records of service and firm strategies, whill hold sware. It is also evident that, the elections are now wipped by ethnoreligiuos sentiments, hence there's an urgent need to be discreet and creative in some of the State Government votes mobilisation drives especially, as it bothers on employment. While, the effort is commendable, there's a greater need to ensure the desire results is achieved. The previous employement was spread across board let this recent one be targeted to covert both analogue voters/protest votes from difficult electoral zone/demographics.

No doubt, Engr AA Sule has brought tremendous human and physical development as seen across the 3 Zones of the State. His IGR records, Job creation and investment opportunities drives are unprecedented in the history of our dear State. However, given the unfortunate political trajectories that marked our journey from 1999, some of our people rarely understand/appreciate the kind of reforms and industrial policies/drives been made by the Government of Engr. AA Sule. Sadly though, I felt, the team handling the Governor's and his Government PR needs to be more creative and at home with strategies that clearly defines AA Sule's giant strides and vision for Industrial and prosperous Nasarawa State. It is not enough to broadcast Government activities on radio and television. How many of our citizenshave access to radio and television?. How many of our youths bothers to watch news and documentaries?. AA Sule's Media Directorate must deploy both tradional and innovative strategies to showcase his greatness in the manner and language of the locals. Hence, this is one area I personally felt, the Governor Campaign Council need to do more. Let the Governor release and task every member of his Cabinet to retire and settle down among their people and hold Town by town/Polling Unit by Polling Unit Town Hall or Meetings Projecting life, the Governor AA Sule's developmental strides. The Governor must ensure they give moment by moment update of progress report to one of his Directorate. We are going into the elections with serious adversaries hence, there's no room for indolence. Let everyone get his or hand sticky. Engr AA Sule's is too good not to return the second term. It is going to be risky and disastrous to allow his innovative and unprecedented milestones in the hands of mediocre. I have a strong feeling that, AA Sule's entire Cabinet members are not doing eneough to sell the Government Milestones to the electorates. Albeit, his Team needed some marching orders to produce results or loose their seats. While, it is possible to have moles, the gaint strides of their Principal's present administration will be difficult to be matched by half, by any of the contender in the race this they know, but for some obvious sentiment. As Indigenes who used to travel far and wide, AA Sule's Revenue Generation, Investment/ employment, Civil Service Reforms among others, are eye openers to the greater things that purposeful and good governance can bring to our dear state.

Dr Faisal Shuaib Support Group for Governor Abdullahi A. Sule 2023 Re-election” is set up as a platform to mobilise support for Engr A. A. Sule, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State. Through this platform, the group sponsored by Dr Faisal Shuaib, OON will be providing free medical services to indigenes and residents of Nasarawa State as part of his support to the re-election bid of His Excellency Engr A. A. Sule.

NAUS Gives Governor Sule 7-Day Ultimatum To Tackle Insecurity At Off-Campus Of NSUK

The National Association of University Students (NAUS) has issued a 7-day ultimatum to Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, to tackle the security challenges bedeviling the areas occupied by students of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) who are living off-campus.

Chairman of Campus Monitoring Committee (CMC) of the association in Nasarawa State, Comrade Aliyu Aminu Maigoro, made this known in a statement on Monday, describing as unacceptable the increasing cases of armed robbery in Angwan Lambu, BCG, and High Court Areas where students of the university resides.

Maigoro urged the relevant authorities to swiftly move into action and ensure adequate security of lives and property in the affected Areas.

Students he lamented “have become soft targets for criminals in recent times and urged the relevant authorities,” to stem the tide of increased criminal activities in the affected areas.

“The welfare and security of citizens is the primary objective of any government. As such, we urge the state government to come up with measures to end criminal activities in our campuses,” Maigoro stated further.

Meanwhile, a crack team of police officers led by ACP Jidda Sunusi and the university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed paid an on-the-spot visit to the areas affected by armed robbers, on Sunday and assured students of adequate security.

2023: Women Pledges Landslide Victory For APC In Toto

Women in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State have pledged to mobilize to ensure landslide victory for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.

The women made this known on Sunday at a programme in Toto tagged: 'Solidarity Meeting For APC' where they resolved to work in synergy for victory in the 2023 general elections in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

The leader of the group, Hajiya Mairo Usman said their support for the governing party was in appreciation of the giant strides the APC-led administrations has delivered in the Area over the years.

She commended Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for giving women a sense of belonging in his administration and vowed to support him beyond 2023.

Mrs Usman urged women to jettison sentiments and vote candidates that have all it takes to better the lives of the people in the Area.

“We must vote based on credibility and competence in order to enjoy dividends of democracy,” he said.

Also speaking, the convener of the meeting, Hajiya Hafsat Oseze, urged the women to leave no stone unturned until all candidates of the governing party emerged victorious.

The proposed creation of new Districts and Chiefdoms: Time to be more creative in winning elections - SIDINA'ALLAH Ismail

Traditional Institutions are no doubt verital organ that entthrone community peace and development. Their role and places in promoting peace, cultural and peaceful co existence cannot be over emphasis. Yet, the tendencies to wield their creations as a tool for political permutations rather than their real intent, must be discouraged. As a well wisher and keen observet of AA legacies, I woke up with the news of his planned creation of new Districts and Chiefdoms and I beg to defer by asking how does wasteful spending of public funds on a few self serving oligarchs translate to real development? I expect AA Sule's brilliance to be innocuous to this inhereted ignoble game of electoral survival. Amidts scarce resources and increased cost of governance, his government has achieved a remarkable increased in IGR. To his credit, he has other physical infrastructures accross state to show. More significantly, his government has done so much to lure long term investments into the state that will translate to thousands of job opportunities for the Indigenes in no distant time.

Yet, most importantly, the germane questions to ask is, what potential security threat does creating new Districts and Chiefdoms has on the peaceful climate now enjoyed in the state? What's the average development index accrued as pwr ratio of affected locals due to the creation of previous established Districts and Chiefdoms which place Nasarawa State notoriously with highest number in Africa?

brilliant government will rather devise some creative ways to win elections than allowed to be hoodwinked into creating another conduit pipe for revenue leakages through unnecessary and wasteful spending at the mercy of real development projects that will facilitate quicker attainment of indigenes aspirations. Nasarawa State has the highest number of First Class Chiefs in the World with resultant sprain on public purse which ought to be channelled to real development.

PROVOST, JIBWIS COE, KEFFI PAYS COURTESY VISIT ON THE MD/CE, FMCK.

The Medical Director/Chief Executive, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu, earlier today played host to the Provost and other management staff of Jama'atu Izalatul Bidi'ah Wa Iqamatu's Sunnah, JIBWIS College of Education, Keffi, Nasarawa State on a courtesy visit.

The Provost of the newly established institution, Dr. Shehu Ibrahim Ahmad, in his speech hinted that, the team was in the Centre to intimate the MD/CE, on the establishment of the institution in keffi and also to solicit his supports in the areas of class rooms, staff offices, online library, ICT Centre, among others, towards the forth coming accreditation visit to the school by the regulatory agency.

Expressing delight for the visit, the Medical Director, in his response, promised to get back to the school after under studying their request.
