Do not ignore people in their lowest state.

A little word of advice, encouragement and support will go a long way.

The Church of England’s governing body has voted to back special services to bless same-s*x couples on a trial basis.

The CoE — central to the entire Anglican Communion of 85 million believers across 165 countries — does not allow same-s*x marriage, standing by its teaching that marriage is between a man and a woman.

But the church has been wrestling with ways to make people in the LGBTQ community feel more welcome, and it apologized in January for the “hostile and homophobic response” some had faced.

On Wednesday evening, Nov. 15, the Church's governing body narrowly voted in favour of blessing same s*x couples.

Following years of debate, Wednesday's vote agreed that the trial services should “be introduced soon” the Church of England said, without specifying a date.

Bishops still have to give final clearance to the prayers in the services, which are trials and not final, settled church policy.

Welby, also leader of the worldwide Anglican Communion, said he recognized that divisions remained.

“I abstained … because my pastoral responsibility extends to everyone in the Church of England and global Anglican Communion,” he said in a statement published on Thursday, Nov. 16.

A conservative group of Anglican church leaders in Uganda, Rwanda, Brazil and other countries declared in April that it no longer had confidence in Welby over his stance on same-s*x unions.

The vote, which came after nine hours of debate among bishops, clergy and laity that make up the General Synod, agreed the trial standalone services would be based around texts known as “Prayers of Love and Faith”.

Those were a collection of prayers, readings and other resources for a same-s*x couple “who love one another and who wish to give thanks for and mark that love in faith before God,” the church said.

In Igbo traditional religion referred to as "odinala," the concept of Hellfire does not exist. Instead, the belief is in reincarnation. According to the doctrine, death is seen as a parallel existence alongside the living, without a division between good and evil people.

Within Odinala, it is believed that people can communicate with their deceased loved ones through practices such as necromancy and sorcery. It is thought that the departed can observe the living and offer assistance in spiritual battles.

Additionally, it is believed that the deceased can be reborn through a mysterious process of reincarnation, where their spirit may return as a child.

This perspective on the afterlife in Igbo traditional religion shares similarities with Hinduism, Sikhism, and other indigenous religions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Contrary to these beliefs, the Abrahamic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) reject the idea of reincarnation and emphasize the concepts of Heaven and Hell.

For these religions, it is believed that evil people will face eternal punishment in Hell, while righteous people will enjoy everlasting happiness in Heaven.

However, there is no consensus among the Abrahamic religions, with each claiming their path as the one leading to Heaven. Deviating from these paths is believed to result in damnation.

Critics and atheists, on the other hand, hold the belief that consciousness only exists during life, and death marks the end, with no continued existence.

The diversity of theories surrounding the afterlife creates a dilemma, as individuals tend to believe that their perspective is the correct one.

A giant ship's engine broke down and no one could repair it, so they hired a Mechanical Engineer with over 30 years of experience.

He inspected the engine very carefully, from top to bottom. After seeing everything, the engineer unloaded his bag and pulled out a small hammer.

He knocked something gently. Soon, the engine came to life again. The engine has been fixed!

A week later the engineer mentioned to the ship owner that the total cost of repairing the giant ship was $20,000.
