Mahatma Ghandi was right when he said "To lose the patience is to lose the battle." As time rolls I've come to believe this quote wholly.

The photograph below, which was taken in 2019 showed from left, Comrade Ishaq Abdul, Rabiu Ahmad Rufai, my humble self, the current Executive Governor of Kano State, Eng. Abba Kabir Yusuf, Abdulrahman scholar and Hon.Yusuf Dambatta after a crucial security meeting. Danbatta was then the closest person to Abba. They were so intimate that Abba refers all things to him. As fate will have it, Dambatta left Abba and Kwankwasiyya. Rumour had it that Dambatta in connivance with the likes of Dangwani were against Kwankwaso's decision to redeclare Abba as the 2023 gubernatorial flag bearer. Perhaps it was ego that gave him the courage, the audacity, chills and impudence to revolt and remain in PDP where he became a running mate to Sadik Wali, PDP's gubernatorial candidate in Kano.

For envy, I am just imagining how famous and influential Dambatta would have been in Kano and Nigeria by now.

Even though I am still in politics, my concentration has now shifted to my businesses. People get surprised anytime I tell them that I run 6 businesses simultaneously. In Nigeria's context there's nothing like "Jack of all Trade" - one has to hit all business angles in order to survive. I eventually chose particular political activities that I engaged in thus satisfied the motive that gave me rise to the desire to participate in the first place. As the saying goes, “Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country.”
As per politics is concerned, my goal is achieved at the moment: Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, Hon. Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, Senator Rufa'i Sani Hanga, Hon Salisu Ibrahim Koki and lots of NNPP candidates have been elected. The good people of Kano came together and saved the state from a gang of thieves and hooligans of democracy.
