FACTORY FITTED
There are some in our midst who do not require any form of training or grooming vocally because they were brom with the gift, nurtured by a strong and well informed support system and they shine through because everything came FACTORY FITTED. But the truth is that no matter how naturally endowed you are a little extra won't hurt.
Then for those who has the gift but not in full bloom, please do not lose hope, you can work that voice to the highest realms; it all depends on your tenacity.
As you are about to step out to do what you love, singing, here a few full body exercises that will ensure smooth delivery at your service point:
1) Roll head around slowly with eyes closed.
2) Use chin to touch both shoulders st intervals.
3) With arms stretched above your head, bend backward from your hip area.
4) sit at the edge of your chair or bed raise both arms and legs to awaken and work the abdomenal muscles.
5) Crouch and slowly rise following the second hand of the clock,while first holding your breath and later holding the "m" in a hum.(15secs)
6) Finally make sure you walk briskly as you prepare to leave.

ATTENTION SUNDAY MORNING SINGERS!!!
1) WARM UP: If you can not remember warm-up any scales, first hum through any song as you prepare and then replace the him with a "yak-yak" e.g if you are singing " This is the day" out would sound as "yak- yak- yak-yak" The k will ensure you perform with a comfortably low larynx.
2) RECALL LYRICS AND SEQUENCE: Right after your warm up, you should try mouthing the lyrics touch every word/stretch and remember what part of the song comes before another. Do not take the reins if you are not a leader or you are permitted to, stick to the plans.
3) FULL BODY WORK OUT; Instead of strolling try a brisk walk as you prepare at home, or as you walk to the car or walk to get a cab. Let the warmth get your blood pumping from your heart all over. And some warm water would do you good!
4) THIS COMES FIRST: Pray in the spirit ...you can never go wrong.

After posting for a while now, and getting feedbacks, I discover that many are longing to be a better version of themselves but don't know how to go about it. To this end, I decided to put this up in case is what you know you need.

Also, another fundamental challenge Choir members face is that they solely depend on their MD's. But the unfortunate thing is that, most MD's or Choir Directors, Choir Coordinators whatever the name is, cannot help the members of their group beyond their capacities.
Remember, a man can't give what he does not have.
If that is the case, does it mean you are helpless? No sir!
The voice you don't work on won't serve you well when you need it.
You need to learn what it takes to maximise your potential.

1. UNDERSTANDING MUSIC
You don't need to have Celine's voice before you can move people with your music.
all you need to know are some basic chords and scales, and know them by heart. If
you already do, then explore new progressions and learn to be creative.
2. IMPROVE YOUR LISTENING AND LEARNING
Listening to different genres and styles of music increases your level of creativity. Great musicians always learn from unfamiliar pieces. Listen with the intent
to analyse and pick up articulations you don't know. Also listen to the music you love
and learn them.
3. FREEDOM TO CREATE WITHOUT FEAR
Don't be afraid of sounding bad or not coming up with the most beautiful piece. Just
create. The more you create without fear, the more comfortable you will become and the
more comfortable you become, the better your music will sound. You just have to STOP CRITICIZING YOURSELF.
4. BUILD GOOD PRACTICE HABITS
Each creative talents needs to stake out some quiet time regularly. You can schedule time
daily or a couple of days or week. This needs to be an appointment and commitment you keep with
yourself.
5. ALWAYS BE WITH YOUR TOOLS
Always carry a pocket notebook or voice recorder or whatever you can use to make notes
in order to record ideas that might come at the minute.
6. BE CLEAR ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO CREATE
Define what you want to create. Grab a sheet of paper, electronic notebook or whatever you
use to make notes and define your subject in details.
7. TAKE A BREAK
Don't stress yourself. Once you feel tired, stop at once and rest or go for a walk. A good
change of atmosphere releases the stress and springs up new ideas.
8. DON'T BECOME AN ADDICT
Don't do drugs or become addicted to a practice without which you can't create. You need
to learn to work from your own strength.
9. YOU CAN'T BRING SOMETHING OUT OF NOTHING
Exercise your brain or it will get flabby and useless. Exercise your brain by reading lots of
good books. It fills you up with energy that allows you to make creative connections easily.
10. PLAY, HAVE FUN, FEEL JOYFUL, GET IN THE ENERGY FLOW
Creativity is about play, fun and flow. When you lose track of time and have boundless energy,
doing the thing you love, you know you 've found your highest creative expression.
