Kaduna State to begin payment of new minimum wage

The Kaduna State government has said it would begin implementation of the new national minimum wage from September 2019. In a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor (Media & Communication), Muyiwa Adekeye, According to the new wage structure, the lowest paid workers in the civil service would enjoy increments of as much as 67 per cent while middle-ranking officers from Grade 10 to 14 get increments of 60 per cent. Bandits kill 3, kidnap dozens on Kaduna – Abuja expressway

Students of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) were among some seven people reported to have been abducted along Kaduna-Abuja expressway in Kaduna. Jibrin Adamu a commercial driver plying the expressway, who escaped the attack, told Daily Trust that the gunmen blockaded a spot around Olam farm Monday 5:30pm where they killed three persons and kidnapped dozens others, saying, “The gunmen blocked the expressway and opened fire to vehicles passing by. Men who kidnapped teenage girl in Kaduna remanded in Prison

The Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kaduna, on Tuesday, ordered that four men who allegedly abducted a teenage girl be remanded in prison pending legal advice. This is according to Premium Times NG. 52 Cattle have been crushed by an Abuja-bound train along Kasarami – Jere axis in Chikun Local government area of Kaduna state according to the Kaduna state police command. The Force claimes that 52 cattle crushed to death was an accident as a train traveling to Abuja from the Rigasa station crushed the herd but left no human injured.
