NANS, PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR COLLEAGUES IN KADUNA
The tuition fees increase by the Kaduna State Government is another form of elite war against the Nigerian masses and it will not end with Kaduna. If the wicked measure succeeds, other state governments will follow suite and this will open a way for the Federal Government.

I have been in the university system for 32 years and I have taught in four Nigerian universities, including Kaduna State University (KASU), so I am not only talking from experience, but I am saying what I have seen and lived. The 30,000 to 35,000 Naira that is charged today as tuition in Federal and State-owned universities many students can not pay. But our politicians have been too distant from the people for too long a time to know this, or to care.

I call on the National Association of Nigerian Students not to sit on the fence concerning developments at KASU, but be involved. We are all in this; it is not a fight of Kaduna State students alone. I am aware that ASUU, KASU Chapter are alredy dialogueing with the state government on the issue. This should be stepped up. Students in other institutions and other states should not wait until they are drawn in this ocean of government wickedness and insensitivity. Students all over Nigeria should consider boycotting classes in support of their colleagues in Kaduna.

It will be a big mistake to allow El-Rufai to succeed in this devilish mission.

KADUNA STATE UNIVERSITY PRESS RELEASE!!

The Management of Kaduna State University wishes to inform students, parents and the general public to disregard the news in the social media and other outlets regarding the review of tuition fees.

Management has met with students of the University on Thursday, 22nd April, 2021 and enlightened to allay fears.

Furthermore, Management wishes to state that though tuition fees would be reviewed upward with specific fees on each course but yet to be announced. The figures being spread in the social media are false.

The public will be informed on any new developments within the shortest possible time.
