WHAT TYPE OF RESUMES DO I NEED ?🤔
HELLO guys ,so today we'll be looking at types of resume
1.How do you know what the employer/ hiring manager of the firm you're applying needs
2. Do I need multiple resumes?
3. Can I do my resume myself and get a perfect work?
From our previous post we listed out the types of resume, but today we will be giving the specifics about each type of resume
1. CHRONOLOGICAL RESUME:
- Format: Lists work experiences in reverse chronological order (most recent job first).
- Best For : Those with a consistent work history and clear career progression.
- Details: Includes job titles, dates, employers, and bullet points highlighting accomplishments and responsibilities.
2. FUNCTIONAL RESUME:
- Format: Focuses on skills and qualifications rather than work history.
- Best For: Career changers, those with employment gaps, or people emphasizing specific skills.
- Details: Skills, accomplishments, and qualifications are highlighted, and work history is re-emphasized.
3. COMBINATION (Hybrid) RESUME:
- Format: Blends elements of both chronological and functional resumes.
- Best For: Job seekers with a strong work history and specific skills or achievements.
- Details: Highlights skills and accomplishments, then provides a chronological work history.
4. TARGETED RESUME:
- Format: Customized for a specific job or industry.
- Best For: Applicants aiming for a particular role and tailoring their qualifications accordingly.
- Details: Focuses on skills and experiences relevant to the target job, often using keywords from the job description.
5. INFOGRAPHIC/CREATIVE RESUME:
- Format: Allows for unique designs and formats to showcase creativity.
- Best For: Creative professionals like graphic designers, artists, or those in the fashion industry.
- Details: Incorporates visually appealing elements, but content should still be concise and relevant.
6. FEDERAL RESUME:
- Format: A detailed document used for applying to federal government positions.
- Best For: Individuals pursuing jobs in government agencies.
- Details: Follows a specific format with detailed information on qualifications, including hours worked per week and supervisor names.
