Don't sleep on us. It's just 13 days left to our premier issue!

Wait! Have you been struggling on what topic to write on? Our premier issue would be on IT and how the Okun community could leverage its high education pe*******on for a tech revolution.

Sincerely, the Okun region could become the next Silicon Valley. If you agree with us on this, kindly send your submissions to [email protected].

Ensure your submissions are not more than 800 words. The less, the better.

Dr. Bolanle Arokoyo once commented on her fears about the "endangerment" of the Owe dialect if we don't make efforts to preserve it.

The same applies to other Okun dialects, we must make intentional efforts to produce tangible digital literature in Okun that would serve as a repository and preservation of our linguistic heritage.

Ask yourself this, when last did you post on social media with Okun? When? Please, let's get ourselves reorientated. Okun a gbe gbogbo gha oooo.

Are you a Kogite?
What are your thoughts on this entry?

=======================================

uhmmm! my Kogi state.
I am a Kogite.
I am a born Kogite.
I am a native of Kogi.
I am a true rare-breed of Kogi.
I love Kogi!
And I'm proud to be called a Kogite!
My origin is Kogi!
My blood type is Kogite!
My accent speaks Kogite!
My skin color depicts Kogite!
My heart beats and bleeds for Kogites!
My pains explain the complaints of Kogites!
My hope sees a better Kogite!
And my faith professes that of a Kogite!
Yes--- I am a blessed Kogite!
My vision
My mission
My decisions
My actions,
My passions and associations
Describes the worth of Kogites!

Yes--- I am an exotic Kogite!
I am a distinguished Kogite!
I am a responsible Kogite!
I am a proven Kogite!
I am a diplomat of Kogi!
I am a decorated citizen of Kogi!
I am an indisputable Kogite!
I am an indispensable Kogite!
And I am an indestructible Kogite!
Yes--- A Kogite with a difference!
A Kogite with direction and passion!
A Kogite in possession of the obsession and obligation to fashion Kogi,
to become an enviable indivisible state among other states
in all ramifications and glorifications!

Yes--- This is Kogi!
where hopes and dreams never give up, until carriers naturally give up!
where public service pays economic looters more than economic-boosters!
where fishes in the midst of the sea,
Die in thirst of water and hunger!
Where schooled-dullards easily become the best among schooled-brilliants!
Where guardians encourage young Kogites to practice mal-practice at the expense of a studious, patriotic lifestyle.
Where round pegs are displaced from round holes,
while square pegs are tribally fused in round holes!
where honesty is perceived as stupidity and hostility to other people's prosperity?
where most people are suffering and smiling---
Expecting ''E GO BETTER ONE DAY''!
While others are gathering and harboring treasures
without measures every day!

Yet--- This is Kogi!
A land flowing with milk and honey!
A land filled with the talented without money!
A land filled with a multitude of powerful brains---

Yet---
without a manufactured -gain!
A land blessed with treasures and wealth of nations
yet without a jewel to behold within our state.
what a mess!
yet this is Kogi!
A land where the laws are made for the rich!
A land where the laws are blade to the poor!
A land where criminals and murderers are treated as honorable men!
A land where the innocent is trampled upon as dishonorable men!
A land where the corrupt are turned into celebrities!
A land where the incorrupt are turned into non-entity!
And even casualty of Anarchy!
oh----
What a pity.........
to permit
Hyper-insincerity,
in our entity,
what a pity............
to limit credibility,
And sponsor infidelity
within our vicinity
yet........
This is Kogi!
our own beloved state!

Jokes apart
Kogites are truly good people!
Kogites are truly lovely people!
Kogites are truly diligent people!
Kogites are delightsome people!
Kogites are just too unique and precious to be toyed with!
yet..............
The administrations and dispensations in Kogi,
Had transformed Kogites into professional pen-robbers, armed robbers, cyber-criminals, ritual-killers, kidnappers, traffickers, sex-workers, drug-pushers, corporate-beggars!

yet...........
we call this Kogi?
our land of promise?
if leaders, parents, guardians, and traditional rulers!
refuse to check their acts in Kogi,
Time will check!
And if time fails to check,
Nature will check!
And if nature fails to check,
Patience! Patience! Patience!
will be the only tiny hope
to hold the hopes of Kogites!
And when this fragile rope cuts off........
when this emaciated and kwashiorkor hope gives up!
A gruesome and devastating and aggressive revolution,
that the world had not witnessed before,
will take shape!
for the liberation,
Restoration and Glorification
of our great glorious state
from the hands of the merciless
and ruthless oppressors within
and outside our dear state!

Indeed, this is Kogi!
our pride!
our treasure!
our own beloved Kogi.
Yes, our own beloved Kogi.
Thank you and God bless KOGITES!!!
