OMA BLESSING WINS WOW GOSPEL ICON.

OMA Blessing has emerged the winner of the 1st season of the Wow Gospel icon 2022. She carted home with 3 million Naira, A car and a Record deal with the Legendary Dr Panam Percy Paul.

Coming in second and third place is Edwin Charles and Dee Minor. They all will go home with 2 million and 1 million Naira each respectively and a record deal.

NORMALIZE UPLOADING THE LYRICS OF YOUR SONGS.

Many years back, the Nigerian music scene was mesmerized by Agatha Moses' album (Nigerian Praise) in 2004. The Album consist of popular Nigerian songs rendered in Different Languages, it had a superp marketing and promotion but one thing was obvious in that work. Some of the songs in that album especially the ones in hausa was not correctly sang. A song like like:
Allah mun gode - Hallelujah
Domin gdhsjskeudhxbxmsksk😁 instead of
Domin Kaunar Ka zuwa garemu - Hallelujah.

At that time songs were released in cassette tapes and when you buy them, the labels inside of it has the lyrics of the songs, their titles and duration. I remember my Dad buying Tapes of Musicians like Zaki Adze, Kush and Panama Percy Paul, they all had the lyrics imprint on the label, it gave us an easier way to learn and sing the songs.

About this time, the popular lyric compilation book was a 'thing'. Almost everyone I know owned one.

Fast forward to few years after, CDs took over and many still came with Lyrics, Titles, song duration and other information.

Right now CDs are almost obsolete, Yet Artist who are ontop of their game know the need to submit lyrics to websites where they can easily be found by thier teaming fans.

I've had cause to listen to really awesome music but some times cannot make out what they are singing, I'd resort to googling the lyrics and I can't find anything online.

I've come to find out that most of the lyrics we find online are submitted by people other than the original owners of the songs, that's the reason why you find disparity in lyrics downloaded from different sites.

Other artists have taken it a level further by creating lyric videos to help people sing along and understand thier music better.

Publishing your lyrics on lyric sites is as important as having your music on download and streaming platforms.

If you wish to have a fan base outside your locality, you'll need to tie all loose ends in the promotion of your works, this includes submitting your lyrics to sites, doing a lyric video and even kareoke versions too.
People like Spirit Three-six or Neken Chuwang Chuwang seem to have mastered this. Seek help and I'm sure they'll be glad to put you through.
