BROKEN BONDS

All I had was a shadow of myself, it was all in my head. Me, him,us a perfect match that only I could see. I couldn’t figure out what went wrong or how we got here, it just felt different. Late night calls turned to a minute of greetings full of silence till all that was left of us got faded.

Now I’m standing still, left with pieces of him, shadows of him that only I could see. I couldn’t let go so I waited till every piece was gone and I had nothing left..... Memories flashing, thoughts engulfing my small head and I’m finding my mind clouded. But what can I say? I lost myself,it ended, over it is. Just like air everything vanishes.

What am I left with? A shadow of myself, broken pieces and tears that no one can see or perhaps a shadow of him and pieces that I put together and held unto. Waiting till I forget or replace him whichever.
