If I was to give any advice to newly weds/young couples, I will start with these three.

I can tell you first hand that your relationship with your partner can be improved and the conflicts you may be facing aren't as peculiar to your marriage as you think.

People just learn over time to put in the right work for the right outcome.

About 4 Years ago my wife and I woke up this very day not knowing we were about to have the first major quarrel(heated conversation, we don't fight) in our lives as a couple because of scissors. Our son Judah was still an infant so we couldn't take him to the barbers but my wife got his hair trimmed from time to time.

On this particular day, she wanted to get his hair trimmed as usual, so we both sat on the front porch of our house in Abuja. As a kind and loving husband☺️, I offered to do the trimming this time, especially because I noticed certain areas she couldn't reach, long story short, while I was trimming his hair, I swung the scissors in a way my wife didn't feel comfortable with and she didnt hold back her feelings about it. This got me feeling upset and a part of me felt attacked because I thought I was seen as irresponsible, before you knew it, our conversation got soo heated, I just splured rubbish and went inside the house.

Within five seconds or less, I received a call from a senior friend and evangelist. This man of God said to me,Pastor Tiza, I am currently in a church conference but while I was sitting in the meeting not up to 5 minutes ago, I saw in a trance, a spirit of contention, roaming about you and your wife, are you both quarrelling? Make peace now, the enemy is trying to plant a seed of discord, don't let him.
Immediately I heard this, all form of beef was squashed to pieces. I called my wife in, told her what had happened and we held hands and began to pray. After we prayed, we hugged, kissed and made up(with words, not what you are thinking)

We learned from that day as you should, that not all disagreements are natural, forgive quickly because to hold a grudge will be to act unawares of the devices of the enemy.
Also,have good friends around, so in the day when your emotions are clouding your discernment, God can easily get across to you through another.
And pray always, not just for things you deem necessary alone but especially for your marriage or relationship. If it is God's will, the devil has his own will for it too.

Marriage also takes some level of bravery. Committing your life to just one person forever, trusting them with your strengths, weaknesses, dreams, aspirations, calling, vulnerabilities, insecurities etc.

Being responsible for another person's life and many others to follow is one of the biggest ministries God has bestowed in the institution of marriage. And the beauty of it all is, He is willing to go on the journey with you guys hand in hand like a friend that sticks closer than a brother. You just need to trust Him, there lies the source of all forms of bravery for the believer, God with us, working in us, with us, through us and for us.
