Kwara PDP Gubernatorial Candidate Reels Out Plans For Civil Servants

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Kwara State, Alhaji Abdullahi Yaman says he would focus on revitalizing the state civil service by restoring the hopes and aspirations of career officers whose promotions have been largely politicised if vote for.
The gubernatorial candidate also promised to be the governor for the enhancement of the service base promotion scheme, the promotion of enabling environment and for the conduct of service operations.
According to him, he would be the governor to ensure that appointments and deployments are based on competence, skills, knowledge, training, speciality, and continuous training and retraining of staff.
Yaman assured that civil servants would be allowed to play their statutory roles as policy drivers.
“I have the vision to raise the bar of our collective achievements as a state with our civil service. I have the vision to raise the bar for their performance and contribution to the positive story of our state. I have the vision to motivate our civil servants to become what our celebrated civil servants of old were: celebrities in their rights” he stated.
Yaman said to achieve these, his administration if voted for, shall be truthful and plain in their dealings with civil servants, shall not deceive them and shall not promise them what they cannot achieve.
The gubernatorial candidate who said a prosperous Kwara was possible, explained further that his administration’s concern for civil servants shall also be extended to the pensioners while concerted efforts shall be made not only to pay their pensions but also to bring them to par with the existing minimum wage.
