Social media management has never been just about making posts and responding to comments. If you are interested in knowing what social media management is about or you want to get grounded in it then this is for you!

I have come up with a list of courses you can take on Coursera to boost your knowledge about social media management/marketing and SEO.

I understand if you cannot afford to pay the fee for taking these courses so it's okay. The good news is that you can click on any of the course on Coursera, go to 'Financial Aid Available' and apply for it.

The instructions to follow are spelt out for you including the word count for your application. It will take at least 2 weeks for your application to be granted; that is if your reason for applying for financial aid is tangible and believable which means you can take the courses and download your certificate at no cost.

You can apply for two or three courses at once, depending on the modules. If it is a course that has more courses within it, then, one application at a time so you can concentrate and finish it.

Here are some of the courses you can take to get yourself equipped for social media management 👇

The new WhatsApp feature which just rolled out and currently in beta version will enable 2 phones to operate 1 Whatsapp account.

This will create newer jobs for virtual assistants specifically for replying WhatsApp messages and closing sales for their employers.

It’s now Time for VAs to start exploring the many opportunities the internet and it’s various social platforms is creating for us.

How to do that:

On a phone with freshly installed Whatsapp, during the sign in process instead of adding a phone number, click the hamburger icon and select “Link A Device”

Afterwards a barcode is generated which is to be scanned by the main Whatsapp. Alternatively, once barcode is generated, screenshot and send to the main Whatsapp owner to scan it and viola both Whatsapp accounts are connected.

Caution:

With the advent of this feature, friends or close relatives can now monitor your conversations if they get hold of your phone and link it to a new WhatsApp.

It’s important to always;

- Setup 2FA on your WhatsApp
- Goto settings >> Link Devices check to see if all devices there were linked by you, if you see a malicious one, kindly tap on it and logout.

God bless.

Done and dusted is dangerous!!!!
You are not done until you are done.

8. Grow yourself in Welcoming rejections, you may get a few while applying.

9. Apply as much as you can

10. Pray as much as you can.

Note: Create two CVs (one academic and one general). It helps to maximize your applications.

➡ After NYSC

If you haven't accomplished any of the above,

1. Be truthful to yourself (Are you willing to stay in the state of deployment or go back home?)

2. Resist pressure (Being alive is more important than anything else, don't let anyone over push you).

3. Develop a mindset that no one owes you nothing (It helps in managing disappointment).

4. Identify platforms where legal opportunities are shared.

A. LinkedIn
B. Twitter
C. Opportunity desk
D. Opportunity for Africans
E. Scholarship hub.
Etc.

5. While applying and waiting, get yourself busy

1. Write manuscript from your undergraduate project

2. Submit conference abstracts

3. Register with an organisation (volunteer) and start gathering experience.

4. Start learning a hands-on skill that you may need later in life. Could also be digital trainings in Bioinformatics, data science, AI, ML, Coding, Programming etc.

If all of these fails????

Keep trying!
You only need one major opportunity!
When it comes, you'll forget the days of pains
Let that keep you motivated.

The Lord is helping us!!!🙏🙏

God bless.

DON'T BE SHY. ASK FOR MORE TESTIMONIALS.

In today’s post, I want to share 3 tips for collecting more (and better) testimonials for your product or service.

Video and text testimonials have helped me add an additional 1% point to my landing page conversion rate. That means hundreds of thousands of naira in extra revenue.

And that shouldn’t be any surprise given 54.7 percent of consumers read at least four reviews before buying a product. (source: Oberlo)

But getting testimonials can be challenging, especially if you don’t have many (or any) customers.

Use these 3 tips below to ramp up your testimonial game, and start making more sales.

1. The Barter Method

If you’re just getting started with a product or service business, it can be difficult to land clients without great testimonials.

An easy way to acquire some is to help a few people at a much lower rate than you plan on charging in the future, in exchange for a testimonial.

If you have a small email list, send out a simple email to drum up a little interest.

If you don’t have an email list but you have a small social media following, share your new service or product in a post.

The goal is two-fold:

➡ Get people to respond via email and start a conversation.

➡ Move all social conversations to DM where you can pitch your idea.

Let them know that you plan on charging more in the future, but you are offering a lower-cost cohort/product/service in exchange for a strong testimonial if you deliver on your promise.

2. Be Hyper Specific

There’s a huge difference between a generic “I loved this product!” and testimonials that move prospective customers to purchase from you.

Here are 3 rules for great testimonials that convert:

➡ Let prospective customers know the product works:

Nothing is better than reading a testimonial that tells the prospective customer that another person has achieved the desired result from your product. So when you ask for testimonials, ask for proof that what you’ve done has actually helped.

Here’s an example from my course, The Business Operating System: check the pics. below

➡ Ask your prospects’ objections:

Ask your customers to talk about a specific objection they had before buying your product, and how they felt about that objection once they’ve completed it.

For example, was someone worried that your product was going to be a scam, or not helpful? Or maybe they didn't believe they could succeed?

Testimonials like this one help dramatically.

➡ Shine a light on unique differentiators:

Often, a few of your customers will talk about something in your product or service that really surprised them, and surprise you too!

You should absolutely take the time to shine a light on the unexpected benefits of working with you: Check Picture No. 2

3. Automate the Process

If you’ve landed a few customers, delivered on your promises, and acquired some specific testimonials, you’re off to an incredible start.

It’s time to move to a more automated system of collecting testimonials.

➡ Use Email Automation Triggers

This works well for a service business, an online course, or even a SaaS product.

For example, if you’re a consultant who provides a service, you can set up an email trigger that fires off 48 hours after your retainer ends.

If you host an online course or product, you can use email automation to email students upon completion of their last module.

Or if you have a SaaS product, you can use milestones inside of the product to prompt an email asking about your experience.

Platforms like Hupspot provides exceptional service in this area, and it's free.

We are going to be running a tutorial on it this month end in out GrowthSchool community.

Make sure you join up. Link in the comment section.

➡ Use a Collection Widget

When you email a client, make it really simple for them to send in their testimonial in the format of their choice.

You can link to a collection widget inside of your email automation, or you can even embed the collection widget inside your course or SaaS product.

You can design custom language that prompts the user to share specific highlights like the 3 I listed above in the “Be Hyper Specific” section.

For my courses, I use the collection widget to ask for testimonials at intermission, and again at the conclusion of the course.

To improve the likelihood that I get video testimonials, I let customers know that I’ll feature the best ones, plus a link to that person’s social media, at the top of my landing page.

This is one of the major reasons that I’ve been able to collect 128+ testimonials for my product, The Business Operating System.

➡ Automatically Send To Your Landing Page

You can also automatically pipe those testimonials directly to a landing page or website of your choice.

Alot people don't know how easy it is to build a landing page, it is completely free and stress free.

With just a few hours of watching YouTube, you would learn how to use web tools like WordPress to give your brand the face it needs to sell yourself on this internet space.

You can do it too.

It's part of the training you get from our community. Link to join below in the comments

Continuing from where I left off, after you set your landing page, you just simply review the testimonial to upload, select it your favorite, and it will appear on your landing page in seconds.

I've split my testimonials into distinct sections, so I can feature them in multiple places throughout my website.

I highly recommend putting your outcomes-based testimonials near the buy button, and your “objection handling” testimonials near the details of the course. That helps match each group of testimonials to the appropriate section of your website for maximum impact.

More testimonials. Better testimonials. Presented in a relevant place. More sales.

Mission accomplished.

Oya go and start telling those client and customers to write you testimony based on your service delivery or product excellent performance on their business or workplace.

I have share with you another secret to increase your sales, now go make it happen.

God bless.

ARE YOU HAVING SALES CHALLENGES IN YOUR BUSINESS, THEN YOU NEED TO READ THIS!

Have you heard of the Ladder of Product Awareness..

It explains the order of which people interact with your product and at what level they decide you are the go to person for their needs if they ever want to get that product or services.

But how do reach that level of trust and loyalty with people, how do you build that brand that people seek!

The answer is speaking to people where they're at

Yes, you see all this advertising strategy you are deploying that force your product views down the throat of your viewers will not work madam/boss..

It never has, and it never will.

You used it last year same way, that is the reason you have low sales, now you have started again this year.

It takes several efforts of consistent visual advertisement to make your first sales, to repeat it with the same way again is going to harder x2

A lot of first timers here put ads on Facebook, to sell bags, shoes, wears and all sort of products on this blue app but that's all that is to them.

You push people to buy your product when they have never heard about you before!

If someone came up to you on the street and asked you to marry them, would you?

Of course not.

You also shouldn't push someone who has never heard of you before to buy your product.

You have to speak to people where they're at on the Ladder of Product Awareness:

The higher up the ladder a prospect is, the less convincing and educating you need to do in order to convert them into a customer.

You, walking on the street and getting asked to get married, were at Level 5. When really, people who get married are at Level 1. (At least we hope.)

Focus on people who are at levels 1 to 4. Convincing people who do not have the problem that your product solves (level 5) is a fool's errand. If you're early stage, go for levels 1-3.

Here's how to write copy that pushes people up the ladder:

➡ Level 5 → Level 4: Call out the problem

➡ Level 4 → Level 3: Show them that there’s a solution to their problem (your product category)

➡ Level 3 → Level 2: Motivate them to take action on the problem

➡ Level 2 → Level 1: Highlight features and benefits to show them that your product is the best solution

➡ Level 1 → Conversion: Drive them to the product page—maybe with a promo.

Let's use an ad campaign as an example of using the Ladder of Product Awareness:

➡ For a prospecting campaign, assume level 3 or 4. Educate them. Send them to an article, show an educational video, or invite to a webinar.

➡ Follow up with a retargeting campaign that highlights how your product solves the problem their experiencing. Can do several ads that focus on different features.

➡ If they still haven't converted, follow up with another retargeting ad that compares you to your competitors.

➡ Lastly, if they still haven't, try a promotion or bonus offer for converting.

You will start seeing massive sales coming in for you from all sides.

You would have built a strong audience of people who know you and your product value.

Shey you will not quickly go and start implementing them now.

Now that you know how to increase your product awareness, go and pick up where you left off an start showcasing yourself to the world.

With this you’ll build a better business, a more scalable business, and a business you actually enjoy running.

God bless you.

Hope you enjoyed it?

How do I sell my products Internationally?

That was the first question Ameenah asked me when she messaged me.

Ameenah owns a fashion/clothing/accessories store "Zia Fabrics n More" which she started in 2019 in lagos

Well many might have the opinion that why would she need to sell abroad when the Nigeria fashion space is still full of untapped market, we could argue it all day but as the owner of the business she believed there is an opportunity to earning in multiple currency.

That for me is enough reason!

So if you are like Ameenah who has a clothing brand or store here is what you need to do to sell your product to the international community:

1. Establish an online presence:
Be an Authority in your industry, that is the only one way people from other countries would ever hear about you. Create a website or online store that showcases your products and makes it easy for customers to purchase them. This will allow you to reach a global audience.

2. Utilize social media: Use platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Tiktok, YouTube and Twitter to promote your products and connect with potential customers from around the world.

3. Online marketplaces: You can sell your products on global e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Etsy, and Alibaba. These platforms allow you to reach a wider audience and expand your business beyond Nigeria.

Note: you will need to set up the best payment option for you to able to receive payment, so do your research and understand which is best suited for you.

4. Network with international buyers: Attend trade shows, events, and conferences in your industry to connect with potential buyers and distributors from other countries.

To sell Internationally, you need to put foots on grounds and attend industry events where you can connect with industry distributors, network and share information which you can use to set your brand up for the International market

5. Research and understand international regulations: Make sure you are aware of any legal requirements and taxes that may apply to your products when selling internationally.

This is very important if you want to be successful in the international market.

6. Leverage on e-commerce platforms: E-commerce platforms like Jumia, Konga and Shopify makes it easy to sell your products to an international audience.

7. Branding: Create a brand that appeals to an international audience and can be easily recognized. This will help to build trust with potential customers and increase sales.

8. Offer competitive pricing: Research the prices of similar products in the international market for and make sure your prices are competitive.

9. Provide excellent customer service: Make sure you have a customer service team in place that can handle international orders and inquiries.

10. Consider partnering with international distributors: Partnering with international distributors can help you to get your products in front of a wider audience.

A BLACKMAN WEALTH

Observation: Notice how a black persons wealth must always be explainable?

You’re either wealthy because of the government, some random white person or theft & corruption.

The black persons rise cannot possibly include hard-work, innovation, value creation or being industrious.

And the irony of this is that the chief investigator into your supposed wealth are the very same black people.

Quick to label you as opposed to focusing on learning, adapting or emulating.

They say success leaves clues. What they didn’t say is you have to be open to taking the class first.

You’ll suffer infront of a black man, they’ll never come together to pull you out of the pit

But the moment you succeed they come together to publicly question your success

I fail to understand us blacks. what is the whole point of working hard, isn't it to create wealth?

Hence we need a serious mental and behavioural transformation in this country.

Democracy that's on paper isn't good enough!

We must create a platform that normalized and talk about black people doing well in their respectful business, so they can come out more and share their story of how they were able to over come their challenges.

There is a lot of hard-won practical knowledge from these folks that's just in the wind because nobody is asking them to tell their stories.

We must change that in 2023.

What are your thoughts?

5 ENTREPRENEURSHIP STRENGTH FOR Moms/Professionals/Anyone willing to dip their legs into the pool TO BUILD
If you’re attracted to the idea of being an entrepreneur in your retirement years, you need to know it’s a muscle you need to build. Here are five strengths that are required to be a successful entrepreneur:

• HAVE A THICK SKIN

It seems that as soon as you announce you are starting a business everyone is an expert in starting a business.

Not everyone will love your idea or product, and they won’t be afraid to tell you. I’m not saying you shouldn’t listen to criticism, but you have to be able to take the punches and not take everything personally.

• GET USE TO BEING CONSTANTLY CONNECTED

As an entrepreneur, there really isn’t such a thing as “disconnecting” from the world, not in the beginning anyway.

You’ll be living and breathing your new company while trying to educate everyone about your business.

You’ll be constantly thinking about how to improve things, reduce costs, and sell more. There is no such thing as a 9-to-5 work schedule when you’re an entrepreneur.

• DON'T LOOK FOR CONSTANT PRAISE

If you’re an employee, you’re probably used to getting constant feedback about your performance, tasks, and project completion.

A lot of employees are even used to their bosses telling them how great they are—even if they know they aren’t. This is not the case for an entrepreneur. You won’t hear any of that unless you tell yourself.

Your praise comes in the form of making money. And it’s going to be a while before you really get the praise you’re looking for.

• BECOME YOUR OWN MOTIVATION

Similar to needing praise, if you need external motivation, you shouldn’t be an entrepreneur either.

When you wake up in the morning as an entrepreneur, there isn’t someone standing in your kitchen ready to give you that day’s tasks. It’s all on you.

Get comfortable with being the person who motivates you to keep going each morning.

• LEARN TO WEAR MULTIPLE HATS

There are people I know that are only comfortable being an accountant, or a writer, or an event planner.

These people are only comfortable doing one thing and, as such, should never be an entrepreneur.

As an entrepreneur, especially a solopreneur, you are often putting on different hats, making a multitude of decisions and you need to be confident in doing so.

There’s a lot more that goes into starting a company, from business plans to corporate structures to getting the right funding.

But these core strengths are the foundation by which all those other things become successful.

Because it all starts with mindset. If you don’t have the right one, all your efforts will be doomed to fail.

So, today, take a look in the mirror and ask, “How am I doing in these five areas?” If you find you need work in one area or more, build a plan and get to work today.

Get to work now in 2023.

God bless you.

I wish you the best.

WHAT YOU NEED TO START UP YOUR STARTUP.

To start a startup, you need more than just an idea.

Unlike regular businesses and ventures, startups have the uniqueness of growing at an exponential rate over a short period of time (If growth is not your goal, you’re probably not a startup then).

This advantageous distinction is largely because startups have a heightened scale and exposure that cuts across a much larger market globally.

While startup companies offer an expedient road to business success, it must be equally reinforced that the likelihood of a startup company being successful is disappointingly low.

It is convenient to look at successful companies like Facebook, Airbnb, Binance, Calendly, Tiktok, Notion and leap into the conclusion that it is easy to create a successful startup.

You must be aware that the number of failed startups overshadows the few celebrated startup successes which is around a ration of 100:5 in a decade long journey. Many startups don't surpass the 10 years mark before dying out.

Before to start a startup, make sure that you're sure, excited and realistic about your venture, industry, products or goals.

Why? Because there will be bumps and obstacles along the way and if you're not excited and committed, you might give up too early.

If there is one rule to respect, this should be the only one. With perseverance, you will have necessary resilience to build your startup or create a new business.

Commitment and determination are key elements to the anatomy of an entrepreneur.

If you are not committed by what you do, stop it because you will fail. Do something you are excited about or work for someone else.

It is important that you are enthusiastic about your startup initiative and not primarily motivated by profitability.

To make a startup successful, many things need to be taken into consideration.

A vision for the company should come out through understanding people's problems and needs over creating an effective business plan.

Additionally you must pay attention to what makes you different compared with other startups while also building up on those strengths of yours.

I hope you find this helpful, if you do don't forget to like and share to your friends and groups as well.

God bless you as you do.
