Juliana Oloyede accuses Pastor Timilehin Adigun of impersonating her, unpublishing her page, and refusing to release her social media passwords to her.

Juliana, who starred as Toyo Baby in Jenifa, took to Instagram to recount her fresh ordeal with the man of God after their 2020 social media drama. The actress said Pastor Timi has access to her Facebook account which is linked to her Instagram account and he has been impersonating her on Facebook and posting as her.
She said she has been trying to get her passwords back from him, all to no avail. Crying, the actress narrated how she recently got a text from an individual who asked about her relationship with Timi Adigun and she immediately placed a call seeking to know the reason for the question. Juliana said the man then informed her that her page was unpublished by someone called Timilehin Adigun.
She then recounted how she tried to retrieve her passwords from the Pastor in 2020 but only backed down due to the intervention of people around her.
Juliana said that the Pastor proceeded to impersonate her on Facebook and uploaded a picture of him and his wife via her account.
She said she immediately took to her Instagram account to distance herself from the content of the Facebook post. She said that her uncle also later informed her that Adigun had unpublished her page. She said this affected her Instagram because the pages are linked. Juliana said she called Adigun but he didn't pick so she called his wife and spoke angrily to her about her husband's actions.
She added that she then went to his church and requested to see him but their conversation was far from civil and Pastor Timilehin Adigun called security to throw her and her sisters out of the church. Crying, Juliana said she doesn't like drama or fights and just wants Adigun to give her back her passwords and set her free.

Justice For Baby Hanifa Killed By School Proprietor..

Elsewhere in Zaria, residents have been thrown into mourning after one Kabir kidnapped an eight-year-old Asma’u – the daughter of his next-door neighbour, Alhaji Shuaibu Wa’alamu – and killed her after spending over 40 days in captivity.

After Hanifa was kidnapped, Tanko, the proprietor of the school she attended before her death, was among the early callers at the parent’s house to console them and even shed crocodile tears to divert suspicion from him.

She was eventually killed by the proprietor upon realising that his late pupil had recognised his face and could expose him. Her body was later discovered in a shallow grave after nearly two months of fruitless search. Her gruesome murder has further raised questions as to how the moral fabric of society has lost its hue in the past years.

Hanifa, the only child of her parents, was named Murja, after her aunt, who is also her guardian since she was two years old. She was abducted in December and her captors had demanded a N6million ransom. However, while trying to collect the ransom, security operatives arrested the 38-year-old proprietor alongside Hashim Isyaku, 37; Fatima Jibreel Musa, 27; and the wife of the main suspect; all of Tudun Murtala Quarters, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.

The mood in Kano metropolitan areas, with its over four million population, has been sombre since Thursday evening, with individuals gathering in groups to try to come to terms with the development.

2023 Presidency Declaration: Saidu berates Ohanaeze over statement against Tinubu.

Leader of Arewa in the South, Alhaji Musa Saidu has berated Ohanaeze over its comment that the presidential bid of Chief Bola Tinubu was dead on arrival.

Saidu recalled that the alliance between the north and the South West gave victory to President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that Chief Tinubu should not be disturbed by the threat of Ohaneze not to support his presidential bid.

Spokesman of Ohaneze , Chief Alex Ogbonnia had in his response to the expression of interest by Tinubu to contest the 2023 presidential election before President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Monday, said the presidential project was dead on arrival as it it was devoid of Justice, fair play and equity.

Saidu who called on Tinubu to ignore the statement of the body recalled that it was the same position they took when President Buhari contested the presidential election in 2015.

“In 2015 if you can remember , President Muhammadu Buhari did not enjoy support from the east. It was the support he got from the West with the effort of Chief Bola Tinubu that largely brought about his victory”.

” This time Chief Tinubu should not be disturbed by the statement of Ohanaeze dismissing his presidential bid as dead on arrival. He should bank on the political alliance between the north and the South West for victory “.

Protest and Strife over N1.68bn unpaid pension in Kwara.

There seems to be no end in sight to the controversial N1.68billion unpaid benefits allegedly owed pensioners in Kwara state by the government. The debt said to have been accumulated by the Dr Abubakar Saraki-led administration later became a subject of judicial battle between the government and the pensioners. In fact, the matter has been adjudicated on by several courts including the Supreme Court, with the retirees insisting they are yet to get justice. From available information, the pensioners under the aegis of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, has threatened to return to the court in the New Year.

The state government on the other hand maintains that it owes the pensioners nothing. When the legal tussle started, the state government won at the high Court but the NUP appealed the judgment and won at the Appellate court. The government challenged the judgment and it was taken to Supreme Court where the NUP lost.

It was gathered that the pensioners were among others advised to go back to the state where it initially lost the case. But instead of going to the state High Court as advised, the NUP headed to Industrial court where it also lost. From all indications, NUP in the New Year is returning to the Appellate court hoping to get the justice it is looking for.

State Secretary of NUP, Ayobamidele Ajibola, told Vanguard that the pensioners were surprised that the courts avoided the relevant portion of 1999 constitution as amended where it expressly stated that no one should touch pensioners’ money. According to him, “NUP lost that case at the Supreme Court, and even Industrial Court, but in January 2022 we are preparing to approach the Appeal court where we initially won. Truly the present administration does not owe us. We are paid as and at when due by the present government.

Confirming the Olubadan’s death, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, said, “The news of the death of our father, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I, came as a shock.

BREAKING: Queen Naomi Silekunola announces ‘divorce’ from Ooni of Ife, explains reasons.

Her Majesty, Queen Silekunola Naomi, has announced her separation from the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II.

In a statement posted on her verified Instagram handle and page on Thursday, she said announced an end to the three-year marriage.
According to her, she tried to make the union work but said the monarch’s public identity is at variance with “his true self”.
The fair-skinned ex-queen wrote, “I did my best to endure and make it work; many times, I smiled through the struggle, but I have finally realised I had just one assignment, my son, and when God is done, He is done. He chose Saul to be king, and when He was done, He told the prophet Samuel I have moved on. Religion was never an issue between us; please refer to my interview on News Central TV. Instead, His Majesty has a picture he would love the world to see and perceive him as and another one which is his true self.”

The evangelist then declared, “Today I announce the beginning of a new dawn and the close of a chapter. Today, I am a mother to God’s unique gift. I am no longer a slave to my thoughts of perfection. I, at this moment, announce that I shall no longer be referred to as wife to the Ooni of Ife or as Queen of Ile-Ife but as the Queen of the people and mother of my adorable Prince.”

Responding to some allegations, Silekunola said that her “decision to move on did not come because his majesty is married to another queen”.

She further explained, “As many would love to assume, throughout our life as a couple, I was the only married wife to him. There were side attractions, but it was never an issue.

Dowen College: Family demands coroner inquest into son’s death

The family of 12-year-old Sylvester Oromoni (Junior), a pupil of the Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, who died under controversial circumstances, has demanded a coroner inquest into his death. The news of Sylvester’s death went viral last Wednesday following a social media post by his cousin, Perry Oromoni, who alleged that some senior pupils of the college beat him up in his hostel because he refused to join a cult.

But the school denied the claim, stating that the boy complained of leg pains following an injury he sustained while playing football.
The state government, on Friday, ordered the indefinite closure of the school pending the outcome of an investigation into the matter. Officials of the Lagos State Ministry of Education stormed the school in the early hours of Sunday and sealed the premises.

The Falana and Falana Chambers, on behalf of the family, petitioned the chief coroner of Lagos State on Monday, demanding an inquest into the death. The petition read in part, “We have been briefed by the family of the late Sylvester Oromoni, a student of Dowen College, Lekki, Lagos, who died from the injuries he allegedly sustained from the beating by his colleagues who wanted him to join their cult.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sacked by Manchester United after Watford defeat
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer leaves Manchester United after failing to win a trophy in nearly three years as manager; Michael Carrick placed in temporary charge as United seek to make an interim appointment until the end of the season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been sacked as Manchester United manager after an "embarrassing" 4-1 defeat at Watford.

United have confirmed Solskjaer's assistant Michael Carrick will be placed in temporary charge, with the club looking to appoint an interim manager until the end of the season.

Solskjaer signed a new three-year deal in July but leaves after overseeing five defeats in their last seven Premier League matches - a run which sees them 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
The Old Trafford hierarchy had ignored increasingly vociferous calls to relieve Solskjaer of his duties in the wake of a humiliating 5-0 loss to rivals Liverpool and a 2-0 derby defeat to Manchester City in early November.

But his position was discussed by United officials on Saturday evening following the crushing defeat at Vicarage Road, before the announcement of his dismissal followed on Sunday morning.

Nigerian judicial panel condemns 2020 Lekki toll gate shooting as 'a massacre.

Nigeria's military on the night of October 20, 2020 could be considered a "massacre," a government-appointed panel concluded Monday -- contradicting previous official accounts of the incident.
The Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution at the Lagos Court of Arbitration had been charged with investigating last year's notorious Lekki toll gate shooting in Lagos, when Nigerian security forces opened fire on young people protesting peacefully against alleged police brutality.
Its bombshell report -- which took more than a year to produce -- accuses Nigerian Army officers of having "shot, injured and killed unarmed helpless and defenseless protesters, without provocation or justification, while they were waving the Nigerian Flag and singing the national anthem and the manner of assault and killing could in context be described as a massacre."
The panel also found "the conduct of the Nigerian Army was exacerbated by its refusal to allow ambulances render medical assistance to victims who required such assistance. The Army was also found not to have adhered to its own Rules of Engagement.

Lagos EndSARS Panel Report: Sanwo Olu deserves commendation – Youth Alliance

According to a press release on Tuesday, 16th November, 2021 jointly signed by its National Coordinator, Kelvin Adegbenga and National Publicity Secretary, Danjuma Lamido, they pointed out that the panel had operated independently while commending members of the Justice Okuwobi-led panel for a job well done.
It will be recalled that in October 2020, young people across Nigeria took to the streets calling for disbanding an abusive police unit known as the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and for ending brutality in movement tagged , the statement said.
The statement read further, “As a result of the violence which led to several police stations being burnt, policemen killed, suspects in police custody released and weapons carted away; the Lagos State Government had to invite the Nigerian Army to intervene in the fallout of the protest.
“The situation was quickly degenerating into anarchy. It was at this point that Lagos State Government requested for the military to intervene in order to restore normalcy, the statement said.

The Alliance reiterated that the world over, it is the custom that the army intervenes when a situation overcomes the police and paramilitary services. The occurrences that took place from October 18 were nothing short of lawlessness and violence.

Soludo's Victory Becomes Official As INEC Declares Him Governor-Elect.

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Prof. Charles Soludo has won the governorship election in Anambra.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, officially declared Soludo winner at the end of the Ihiala LGA supplementary election. Prof. Florance Obi who was the INEC Returning Officer for the Anambra poll announced that Soludo polled a total of 112,229 votes to emerge winner.
The candidate that came second was Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who polled 53,807 votes. Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress, APC, came third with 43,285 votes while Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, came fourth with 21,261 votes according to a report by The Punch.
Soludo's victory is with a wide margin In politics, a winner wins with a wide margin when he or she gaps the closest rival and other candidates with a high number of votes. That is to prove that the winner is very popular. Or better put, the winner is more popular in that election than the other candidates. In the case of Soludo, he won with a very wide margin that his votes is a little below the votes of the next three top candidates after him when put together. Apart from the votes garnered by Ozigbo who came second, Soludo's votes are more than that of the remaining sixteen candidates put together. It would be recalled that a total of 18 candidates contested in that election. That sends a strong message about Soludo's victory.

Nigeria facing new dimension of threats –Defence minister

The Minister of Defence, retired Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi, says the prevalence of the various security threats in Nigeria has adversely affected food security thereby posing new dimension of threats to the country.
Magashi stated this at the opening of a retreat for Defence Advisers/Attaches Conference, organised by the Defence Intelligence Agency on Monday in Abuja. The conference/retreat has the theme, ‘’Advancing Counterterrorism Efforts through Enhanced Inter-Agency Cooperation: A Whole of Government Approach.” He said the attacks by Boko Haram Terrorists and Islamic State in West Africa Province in the North East as well as banditry and herder/militia in the North West and Central had continued to pose serious security threats to Nigeria. According to him, the littoral states in the South-South region are plagued with illegal oil bunkering, piracy and militancy while the South-East is challenged with secessionist activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

He added that the South-West region is equally faced with secessionist inclination driven by ethnic agitators as well as occasional tension between herders and farmers. “The threats currently facing Nigeria and understanding their socio-geographic context is pivotal for adapting appropriate and lasting counter-measures.
