25 Free Masterpieces Resources That Will Teach You Copywriting.
...by a victim of fake gurus.
If you are interested in learning copywriting, you are going to appreciate what I'm about to share with you because very few people share them in the naked light of the day.
Seven months ago, I decided I wanted to learn copywriting so I took a course but what I learned wasn't even close to The Direct Response Copywriting.
So I asked a brother who is also a copywriter to tell me how things work in the industry...
He told me a little about the people in the industry and he emphasized about a particular dude from Nigeria who goes by the name Andy Mukolo.
And who in my opinion and opinions of a bunch of international copywriters is the best copywriter out of Africa.
He told me to read The Boron Letters by Gary Halbert who was a copywriting genius and the best copywriting teacher that ever lived.
It was when I followed Andy Mukolo and started reading his Newsletters that I realized that there is a whole different world of copywriting out there.
So I started doing my research, and the more I researched, the more I discovered how vast the ocean of free knowledge on the internet is.
I’ll tell you! It hasn’t been easy...
But man I’ve learned a lot. Even though I haven’t yet paid for a single course.
I have gathered a lot of resources which I’ll be sharing with you but before I do that..
I have to clarify some misconceptions you may have heard about copywriting.
So here are the deceptive lies that will derail you from the path of becoming a well paid sought-after copywriter:
1. “You don’t have to read books you only have to hand-write sales letters.”
You see, copywriting is both an Art and a Science.
Like every other art, to acquire the skill of the Art you need to copy the best artists that came before you and the same applies to copywriting as well.
Why you want to hand-write sales letters is to internalize the flow of a good sales letter, and if you are a non-native speaker, you need it the most to be able to write like a Native Speaker (or writer).
And to acquire the knowledge of the Science you must read books.
You see copywriting has less to do with writing as it has to do with thinking.
It is the knowledge of psychology that you have that allows you exercise persuasion on your readers.
And a lot of copywriting principles that you need to know can only be found in books.
All great copywriters are obsessed with consuming information about marketing, salesmanship, and persuasion.
Comprehende?
Good! Moving on...
2. “You don’t need to know how to write well.”
Of course, you don’t have to write like Hemingway.
But who wants to read a poorly written copy that would make their brain scream?
NO ONE!
Moving on...
Please just try to have a good command of the language...
Because no one is going to read a poorly written copy, not your client and definitely not the prospects.
Now, here are your free resources for you to devour:
The Right Books:
1. The boron letters by Gary Halbert
Gary Halbert is one of the greatest copywriters that ever lived and he is unarguably the best copywriting teacher.
He wrote The Boron Letters to his son to teach him copywriting while he was in prison.
The Boron Letters is just 25 chapters.
But it is a must-read for anyone who wants to be a great copywriter.
You can download it at the link below, chapter by chapter, but if you want the whole Pdf you can send me a message on Whatsapp.
Just send “I want The Boron Letters” to 08124425694 (WhatsApp).

2. Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins.
Many copywriters regard Claude Hopkins as the father of advertising.
The book was written many years ago and uses words that may be unfamiliar or have a slightly different meaning than commonly used today.
But don't let that prevent you from gaining the benefits contained therein.
It contains all the principles you need to know about copywriting.

3. My Life In Advertising by Claude Hopkins.
Even though this is a memoir, it contains great advertising lessons.
One that comes to mind now is his emphasis on having empathy...
..he called it “walking in your prospect's shoes.”
He also gave some valuable advice about work ethics...such as making your work your hobby, etc, etc.

4. The Robert Collier Letter Book by Robert Collier.
Robert Collier is the propounder of “The Grabber”, a popular copywriting technique used in grabbing attention.
He once attached a dollar bill to letters just to grab attention... Isn't that incredible?!
He is a master in the art of writing sales letters and his book contains all the essentials of writing a sales letter.

5. The First Hundred Million by E.Halderman-Julius
He was a publisher who made over a hundred million dollars selling little books.
This book contains information about the books people are really interested in buying.
And he also explained how to give books title that sell.
He was the one who discovered that beginning a title with “How” or “How to” grabs more attention.

So those are the free books you can get on them internet without ripping the authors.
There are still other books but I believe you should buy them. They are all available on Amazon.
If you need recommendations on which book you should buy you can reach out to me. I'll be happy to help...
I recommend you read The Boron letters 3 times.
Scientific Advertising should be read seven times because...
David Ogilvy(Google him) said no one should be allowed to have anything to do with writing an advertisement unless he has read scientific advertising seven times.
And The Robert Collier should be read three times as well.
The reason for rereading the books is because you want to understand the principles of persuasion contained in them.
It's when you familiar with these principles like the way you are familiar with your first name that you will be able apply them in writing.

There you go all the resources you need to get started but....
will you use them?
You see many people complain about having no financial freedom...
but the problem is not scarcity of knowledge to gain the financial freedom...
..but the scarcity of DEDICATION and COMMITMENT to gain it.
So if you are committed and dedicated I want you to start using these resources today and if you know a friend who needs them...
pass along!
Yours for success,
Uthman Aliyu.
P.s
I should mention the reason for compiling these resources.
It’s simply because I know how hard it was for me to get them and it took me more than seven months so I wouldn’t want anyone to go through that.
And also, when I started I didn’t know the right things to do due to how the fake gurus have spread everywhere like a deadly virus.
So I’d like to help the people that are in the same situation that I was in...in the very little way that I can.
So this is for you if you want to live the life of a freelancer and enjoy financial freedom.
