This young man went viral sometime in 2023.

He was hawking on the street and somehow, he trended on social media due to his style of hawking and service.

Aquafina Water brand (7Up Company) was impressed because the water he marketed while hawking was their brand. They set up a business for him and provided every basic thing he needed for the business to thrive.

Less than two years later, the young man is back on the street. At first, he accused village people of ruíning the business. The same way I accused my village people in 2018 when my restaurant business failed less than three months after opening. Lol.

Today, the H2O guy is begging Nigerians for forgiveness. According to him, he mismanaged the business and he's back to square one, he hawks and helps people fetch firewood to earn a living.

First, I naturally like people who hold themselves accountable, the fact that he blames himself for his failure and not accusing those who helped him of “using” him is commendable.

Sometimes forget village people and reflect on the role your poor choices, bad decisions, and lack of skills play in your life. I don't think his failure is entirely from village people if at all they are involved.

And I also don't think that guy squandered the funds for frivolity. We won't act like we've never failed before.

Was he prepared in mind to handle such a business? Was that what he wanted to do? Did the environment the business was located need the business? Does he have entrepreneurial skills beyond hawking? He hawked to make ends meet but he lacked the mental capacity to handle a multi-million business.

Maybe he needed to be groomed to handle such a business before it was handed to him. He saw an opportunity and he grabbed it even though he lacked the skills needed for it, failure was bound to happen.

Failures are part of life and growth. People fail in businesses they are passionate about. Failures are lessons in disguise. They are part of life. We won't stigmatize someone for failing when it is often an inevitable phase of life.

Life is in steps, when we jump steps, there are bound to be falls, and the higher the jumps, the more fatal the fall.

He jumped the process required to groom him and it wasn't his fault. As a child with less advantage by default, he was already limited in mind and many ways. Free that guy if you can't help him. The limitations a pòor man has are numerous. ❤️ and 💡 to him.

In a small village nestled in the rolling hills of rural Nigeria, there lived a young woman named Adara. She was a brilliant and ambitious student, with dreams of becoming a doctor one day.

Help me post mum Fegor, I got married to this man I loved and we have 2kids together. I loved him but he didn't love me back in the way that I loved him as he constantly pursued other women.

All attempts to get him to stop and be a responsible father and husband fell on deaf years. The heartbreak, pa!n and hardship I endured with him led me to take off with my children. I didn't want to go but one particular friend of mine encouraged me against what society was telling me because I was really suffering treating infection.
