The Tinubu Mandate And It's Rapid Actualisation In Just Few Days In Office

Transparency in leadership is not just about making promises, but the commitment towards executing, and the ex*****on of the said promise, and this has been the modus operandi of the Jagaban Borgu's administration, as Mr. President, Sen. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, is already making Nigeria prospereous and liveable just few days after being sworn in as president.

Scaling through page 37 of the Renewed Hope document, Tinubu promised to remove fuel subsidy.
The good news is that he did just as he promised, just few days in office.

However, in page 66, he promised judicial reform and he has signed into Law, Unification of Judges Retirement Age Act.
PBAT achieved few days in office.

Furthermore on page 32, Mr. President promised that his government will relax regulations that will enable private sector, local and state government actors to electrify rural Nigeria.

He has signed into Law the 2023 Electricity Bill that empowers states and private organizations to generate, transmit and distribute electricity.
This as well has been checked, therefore achieved as promised.

Further delineating on page 44, he promised a national student loan scheme and yesterday, he signed into Law the Education Loan Bill, after an invigorating meeting with National Association Of Nigerian Students (NANS), National Association Of College Of Education Students (NACES) National Association Of Nigerian Students (NAUS) and National Youth Council Of Nigeria (NYCN) at Abuja, June 13.

Unarguably, judging from the speedy commencement of work and rapid ex*****on of Mr. President's promises in just a space of 15 over 1,460 days mandate, so therefore, it is sacrosanct to say that the BAT/KASH administration will bring about the renewed hope Nigerians agitated for, for ages.

DUTY GALORE AS LAGOS, EDO, KADUNA TO COMMENCE REGULATION OF ELECTRICITY.

His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, according to reports from Business day newspaper, has assented the Electricity Bill, passed July 2022, furthermore seeking to repeal the ELECTRICITY AND POWER SECTOR REFORM ACT, 2005, therefore becoming the ELECTRICITY ACT.

The bills primary objective as stated in its first section, is to create a comprehensive legal and institutional framework to guide the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

However, the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the National level isn't monoponous in nature, regardless, this is to empower states, companies and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity.

States would also be able to issue licenses to private investors who have the ability to operate mini-grids and power plants within the State, but such State licenses are not to extend to inter-state or transnational distribution of electricity.

The new law restates the position and clarifies the authority and powers of the States and Federal. It means that Nigeria will not have one single market regulated from Abuja, but could have at least 3 independent regulators.

In the course of the meeting, the Jagaban borgu emphasized that his administration’s total commitment is towards attaining a competitive, stable and transparent oil market.

The meeting marks the continuous efforts by his administration to secure the collaboration of critical players in the oil sector towards ensuring stability, transparency and fair competition in the sector.

Today in Maiduguri, Nigeria's VP HE Sen. kashim Shettima attended the funeral of Alhaji Usman Jidda Shuwa, immediate past Secretary to the Borno State Government.

The deceased served under Nigeria's VP between 2015 and 2019, and also served in same capacity under Governor Zulum's administration from 2019 to 2023.

We lost a colossus. He was the last of the titans and an icon with a huge institutional memory of how the system works. We are surely going to miss his wise counsel and intellect. No one is indispensable in life, but he was almost irreplaceable.

May Allah's mercy descend on his soul and admit him into Jannatul Firdaus.

Setting the Record Straight: Female Police ADC Not Rejected by Nigeria's VP's Wife!

It is important to correct the news of the alleged rejection of a female police ADC by HE Nana Shettima, Vice President's wife, during her inauguration. The news has been circulating on social media, but it is not accurate.

Assigning security details or aides to VIPs follows specific procedures that vary across security agencies. It is a process that involves selecting at least three competent personnel and scrutinizing their service records. The most suitable candidate is then presented to the VVIP/VIP for approval, and upon acceptance, the personnel is officially assigned to the individual.

It's worth noting that HE Nana Shettima is not new to the corridors of power and has previously worked with an ADC when she served as the governor's wife for eight years in Borno. Therefore, the same ADC who worked with her in Borno as the governor's wife was present at her inauguration.

The Shettima family is known for maintaining long-term relationships with their staff and workers, like retaining the security details that served the Vice President when he was Governor. Given this track record, it's unlikely that his wife would act differently, and she has always prioritized following due process in her official dealings, including assigning security personnel to VIPs and VVIPs.

SGF Appointment: Omole Lead Progressives On A Congratulatory Visit To Akume

APC stalwart, Prince Ade Omole led a delegation of Diaspora Progressive members to the Abuja residence of the newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume.

It would be recalled that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently announced the appointment of Senator Akume whilst receiving the Progressive Governors Forum at the state house, yesterday.

In Prince Omole’s entourage were Prof. Ali Alao; Comrade Hafeez Yaw; Dr Mustapha Abdullahi; Barr. Obiageli Nwufor and Rt. Hon Ahmed Mohammed.

Prince Omole extolled the virtues of the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation and charged him to help meet the promises of President Tinubu and his Vice, Sen Kashim Shettima in their “Renewed Hope” mandate.

Prince Omole recalled that he made a similar visit in 2019 when Sen. Akume was appointed Minister. He prayed that the SGF will, again, be promoted by the time he visits again as the visits were divinely led.

Senator George Akume appreciated the visit and commended the fantastic contribution of the Diaspora Directorate towards the success of the election. He promised that he will be working with the Diaspora to ensure the success of President Tinubu’s administration.

He referenced the long-standing and robust relationship with Prince Omole even before the advent of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and eulogized the good and cordial relationship over the years which he affirmed will continue for many years to come.

10TH SENATE LEADERSHIP; GROUP ENDORSE SEN GODSWILL AKPABIO

The Coalition Of South East APC Support Groups have endorsed Sen Godswill Obot Akpabio for the Senate Presidency position of the 10th national assembly

The group said by virtue of Sen Akpabio’s uncommon achievements as a former two times governor, former senate minority leader, and former minister, he is the most suitable to steer the ship of the 10th assembly at this point in time.

Recall that on May 8th, the All Progressives Congress (APC) had nominated Godswill Akpabio and Jubrin Barau as the preferred choice for senate president and deputy, respectively.

Speaking on Thursday June 1st, at a press conference in Abuja Akweke Francis Okoye, the convener of Coalition Of South East APC Support Groups, said Akpabio has the experience , expertise, exposure, competence and right temperament to create the needed harmony and synergy between the Executive and the Legislature"

Okoye also called for support of Senators-elect across party lines to ensure they vote Akpabio as the next Senate President. He added that "the Senate needs a game changer, team player and stabilizer who will be firm, decisive and resolute in the pursuit of peace, unity, progress and development of our country and that is where Akpabio fits in"

He called on Igbo Senators elect and Igbos in general to embrace the Tinubu administration and by extension the Akpabio senate presidency so as to connect the Igbos back to the centre
