Another Banger 💥💥Abiodun Mourns Prof. Odemuyiwa, Says Death Tragic

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the tragic death of Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, his former Special Adviser on Vocational and Technical Education, as a great loss to the state and the education sector.

Prof. Odemuyiwa served as the governor's aide during his first term in office. He reportedly died in an accident on Tuesday, while on his way to Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State capital, where he was a lecturer.

Prince Abiodun, in a condolence message, described the passing of Prof. Odemuyiwa as tragic and sad, adding that his death is a great loss to the state, his family, and the education sector.

He said the erstwhile special adviser was a team player who contributed immensely to the success recorded by his administration in the vocational and technical education during first term in office.

"Prof. Odemuyiwa's legacy as an educator and advocate will always be remembered and cherished.

"He was a highly respected individual who made significant contributions to the success of our administration in vocational and technical education.

"His sudden departure leaves a void that will be felt by many and will be sorely missed by all," PrinceAbiodunsaid.

He sympathised with the family of the deceased and loved, even as he prayed for the repose of his soul.

"Please, accept my deepest condolences during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace," the governor added.

Another banger 💥💥Deputy Commissioner of police hangs self in Ogbomoso A Deputy Commissioner of Police attached to the Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department (FCIID), Gbolahan Olugbemi has allegedly committed su***de in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The body of the DCP, who had served as an aide to former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala was reportedly discovered in his apartment with noose round his neck hanging. Though, full investigation is yet to be carried out to ascertain the cause of his death, a source told Vanguard that it looks like a su***de. The deceased DCP Gbolahan Olugbemi was said to have come home for the Easter celebration and arrived at his residence at Petros Academy Street, Federal Low cost area with no one accompanying him. The deceased officer whose age is put at 50 plus was the Aide De Camp of late Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala during his eleven month tenure from 2006-2007. Vanguard gathered that his residence has been cordoned off and sympathizers stood in clusters mourning the tragic end of the gallant officer. One of his neighbours said, “Sometimes, he came home with police security. In fact l saw him recently driving personally into his beautiful mansion.” “It’s only him we see around. His family is not usually seen with him.” The source further disclosed that the man had been battling with depression for quite a long time. Due to his effective policing, he was was recommended for commendation for his handling of the ENDSARS protests in 2020. Before his death, Olugbemi had served as Divisional Police Officer in Ilupeju Area Commander in Ajah, and was Personal Assistant to two former Commissioners of Police in Lagos State.

Another banger 💥💥Residents Scamper for Safety as Suspected Cultists kill one in Abeokuta

Pandemonium broke loose in Ijeun Tuntun area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital on Sunday evening, as some persons suspected to be cultists reportedly shot dead, one Olumide Ifeoluwa popularly called Tescom.

A resident of the area who spoke to our Correspondent on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the incident, said that Olumide, an alleged member of Aiye confratanity, was murdered at a car wash in the area where he used to stay and relax in the evening.

He was said to have been in company of some people when his assailant swooped on him and shot him on the head.

The source said, “the whole thing happened at around 6 to 7 pm. Tescom as he was fondly called was at the car wash, I think he was always there in the evening to relax with some of his friends.

We heard that those who shot him dead came on motorcycle and they just went after only him and shot him on the head. The incident really brought fear on the people as they took to their heels because nobody wants to be caught up in the crisis.

“Although, those that shot him dead had bolted away immediately, but people were afraid that the deceased group might come for reprisal attack.

“The police from Ibara Divisional headquarters came at about 9pm to evacuate his co**se. It is really disturbing and sad”.

When contacted, spokesperson for Ogun State Police command, SP Omolola Odutola confirmed the incident.

She said, “One Olumide Danish Ifeloluwa ‘Tescom’ was shot in the head by unidentified gunmen in a ash Colour Corolla with no registration number at Somefun, Ijeun Tuntun, today 31:3:04 @ 19:55hrs. Dr. have confirmed one Danisa dead”.

It would be recalled that suspected cultists killed not fewer than four souls across different parts of Abeokuta in February.

Another Banger 💥💥Three suspects arrested for rustling 132 rams in Niger state.

Operatives of the Niger State Police Command have arrested three suspects for rustling 132 rams in Mashegu Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who made this known in a statement on Saturday, March 30, 2024, said the suspects confessed to having conspired and rustled the animals from two owners.

“On 14/03/2024 at about 0900hrs, based on information received, Police operatives attached to Zungeru Div with vigilante members arrested the following suspects; Mohammed Abdullahi Chumo 30yrs of Ukoro, Kwara State, Aliyu Salihu 20yrs of Gwadabawa, Sokoto State and Arzika Ahmadu 25yrs of the same address,” the statement read.

"During interrogation, the suspects confessed to having conspired and rustled 132 rams from two victims who were grazing the rams around Manigi area of Mashegu LGA.

"Fortunately, one of the victims sighted a member of the gang, Chumo at Zungeru Market with six of the rams in an attempt to sell them, the victim raised an alarm, the suspect was arrested and led the Police team to Jimi village where other rams were kept, while Aliyu and Arzika were also arrested.

“The suspects have been transferred to the Crack squad unit for discrete investigation and diligent prosecution, as the rams were released to the rightful owner.”

Another Banger 💥💥Man drowns while visiting Ogun community with his friend.

A man identified as Sunday Igbede, drowned in the river in Eyinwa community in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun state on Saturday, March 30.

According to the police, Otusanya Abayomi of Igbe Ilara reported at the community police station that at about 12 noon, he came into the community with his friend. He said his deceased friend left him and others to an unknown destination without notifying anyone.

Abayomi stayed that information later got to him that the said Sunday had gone to swim at Eyinwa River where his friend got drown.

‘’Upon the receipt of the information, the DPO Odogbolu detailed surveillance police officers in collaboration with some local divers to locate the co**se, but their efforts proved abortive. Meanwhile, effort is still ongoing to recover the co**se and further reach out to the family, to inform them of the sad occurrence.'' the statement reads

The state Commissioner of Police Ogun State Police Command, CP Alamutu Abiodun, while extending his deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time, assured that the Command remain committed to promoting public safety and preventing such tragedies in the future. He further warned restive young persons to steer clear of Rivers whose depth they cannot preempt.

An Islamic cleric in Ondo state, Oluwafemi Idris, has been arrested by men of the Ondo State Police command for possessing human body parts.

While acting on an intelligence received, the police stormed the house of the cleric and discovered human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, a spine, and a tongue.

Confirming the arrest to newsmen, the spokesman of the command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, in a statement released, said Idris was arrested after the police received intelligence that he intended to use the body parts for ritual purposes.

Another Banger 💥💥Man arrested for ra**ng JSS 1 student in Ogun.

A 24-year-old man, Gadafi Bala, has been arrested by the police for allegedly ra**ng a Junior Secondary School, JSS1, student of Aderegun Community High School, Ogijo in Sagamu, Ogun state.

Ogun state police command's spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, said it received a report from Ifesowapo Otitoloju CDA in Ilara Ogijo that the student was r***d by Bala.

After the Division Police Officer of Ogijo Division received the report, he visited the victim and issued her an examination form for evaluation. The result proved positive that one Gadafi had unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim.

Odutola added;

“No person involved in such act will evade punishment as it is a serious crime against human rights violations. Sequel to the result being confirmed by a doctor of a government-owned hospital, Gadafi was promptly arrested. Preliminary investigation has commenced into the matter and the case will be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.”

Another Banger 💥💥Police arrest suspected gunrunner, recover locally made AK-47 rifles in Niger State.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspected gunrunner and dealer of locally made AK-47 rifles, Mustapha Ishaku, in Mandela area of Minna, the state capital.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, March 30, 2024, said three fabricated rifles were recovered from the suspect.

According to the PPRO, the suspect confessed that he is a welder and had fabricated over twenty rifles with one Bala, who is at large.

“On 17/03/2024 at about 2330hrs, based on a credible tip-off, Police operatives attached to Crack Squad of the Command arrested one Mustapha Ishaku 21yrs of Kuta area of Shiroro LGA,” the statement read.

"The suspect was arrested in Mandela area of Minna with three locally fabricated AK-47 rifles during an attempt to sell one of the rifles. In the course of investigation, he led the Police team to a residence within Mandela area, where he claimed he was working as a guard and two other rifles were recovered from the premises where he hid them.

"During interrogation, he confessed that he was a welder at Kuta and that he had been working with one Bala who is at large, and that the said Bala specialized in carving the wooden parts of the rifles, while he fabricated the iron parts. He confessed further that he had fabricated over twenty rifles with Bala.

"He said he had sold three of the same rifles to some buyers at Izom, at the rate of one hundred thousand naira each, while two rifles among the three recovered were also meant for supply at Izom at the same rate.

“However, investigation is in progress, as the Crack squad is making efforts to locate and arrest the buyers in order to recover the said rifles.”

Police officers attached to Isheri-Osun Police Division have arrested an alleged fake Sergeant Major (RSM), Femi Balogun, fully claded in military camouflage.

According to police sources, the suspect was apprehended around 3pm on Saturday, March 31, at Ijegun, a riverine community notorious for pipeline vandalism and safe haven for vicious criminals. The police sources mentioned that the suspect, alleged to have been on the wanted list of the Nigerian Army, was arrested by operatives on visibility patrol along Fagbile Estate in Ijegun.

Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the military had been contacted and Balogun was confirmed to be a fake soldier upon interrogation.

Hundeyin said the suspect would be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.

Another Banger 💥💥Teenager kills his 14-year-old friend over phone, dumps body inside septic tank in Niger State.

The Niger State Police Command has arrested one Yakubu Tanko, 19, for the murder of his 14-year-old friend, Sikiru Tajudeen, in Bosso Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, March 30, 2024, said the body of the minor was recovered from a septic tank in the community after he was declared missing.

According to the PPRO, the suspect hit the deceased with a stick, killing him instantly and then hid the co**se in a sack in the kitchen.

Tanko returned with a borrowed wheelbarrow, evacuated the co**se and dumped it in a nearby septic tank, in an attempt to cover the crime.

Upon arrest and interrogation, he confessed to the crime, claiming that he had no reason for his actions, but the deceased had given him a phone to charge for him.

“On 20/03/2024 at about 1900hrs, Police operatives attached to Bosso Div arrested one Yakubu Tanko 19yrs of Tudun-fulani area of Minna for a suspected culpable homicide of one Sikiru Tajudeen 14yrs of the same area,” the statement read.

"On the same date at about 0700hrs, the deceased was reported missing at Bosso Div, that on 19/03/2024 at about 2130hrs, the deceased was not seen at home, but his school uniform trouser, a stick and a stone were found with suspected blood stains in his room.

"Later around 1830hrs of 20/03/2024, information received from the community indicated that a strange odour was being perceived from a septic tank within the community, and after a proper check with the Police, a tied sack was found in the tank, evacuated and discovered the lifeless body of Sikiru Tajudeen.

"Further findings from the community pointed to Yakubu Tanko and he was immediately arrested. During interrogation, he confessed to the homicide of the deceased who was his friend.

"He stated that on 19/03/2024 at about 1400hrs, he met Sikiru in the room sleeping and he picked a stick from the kitchen, which he used to hit the deceased on the head. He said blood gushed out and he left the scene immediat

Another Banger 💥💥Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Chizoke Obiadada (54) and his son, Micheal Obiadada (17), over the death of Tope Owoade.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, the suspects the incident happened in Ogijo area of the State, last Thursday.

OGUNUPDATE learned that the victim was beaten blue-black by the suspects when she confronted them on why they had to sit on one of the tables used for displaying her wares.

The statement reads, “Successive uncontrollable anger and arguments which snowballed into a quarrel, over sitting on a“worktable“ belonging to one Tope Owoade “f” now deceased. A table the victim uses in selling “Pomo” stemmed an altercation for preventing her neighours from sitting on her work table causing a misunderstanding that has led to the ultimate death of one Tope Owoade “f” 43yrs.

“The Divisional Police Officer of Ogijo has received a complaint from one Isiaka Owoade “m” a husband of one Tope Owoade now deceased.

“He narrated that on the 29th of March, 2024 when he returned from a journey his late wife informed him that on the previous day which was the 28th of March, 2024 at about 2030hrs one Chizoke Obiadada “m”54 years and his son one Micheal Obiadada “m” 17 years, his known neighbours hacked his wife in fits blows, beating her up mercilessly, by inflicting fatal injuries on his wife which resulted in her bleeding severely from the womb and in her private part. When she cautioned the duo not to sit on the work table she uses to sell edible animal skin. He stated that his wife was rushed to Main Frame Private Hospital and Kunle Hospital Atan Agowa, and she was rejected.

“He further stated that his wife gave up the ghost while she was being taken to a government hospital.”

Odutola said that the suspects were arrested following the complaint made by the husband of the deceased, while preliminary investigation had commenced.

She said that the case would be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.

Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 arrested seventy-four(74) suspected internet fraudsters in Ogun State.

The alleged fraudsters were arrested at Government Residential Area, G.R.A, Shagamu, in Ogun State following surveillance and intelligence exposing their suspected internet-related offences.

Items recovered from them include seven exotic cars, three laptops, 124 mobile phones, one PlayStation 3 game, two motorcycles and other incriminating documents.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Another Banger 💥💥Abuja Court remands Bayelsa senator in prison for Certificate forgery.

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Apo, Abuja, on Thursday, remanded serving Senator Benson Konbowei in the Kuje Correctional Centre.
The Bayelsa Central senator is being tried by the police on three counts bordering on forgery of the National Youth Service Corps exemption certificate.
He was arraigned on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty.
The court on Thursday granted the senator N50m bail but ruled that he should be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending the perfection of the bail conditions.

#litetvmedia Another Banger 💥💥The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed an attack by some daredevil armed criminals who looted a commercial bus at Oke Ado Junction, in Ijebu Imushin, along the Ijebu-Ode-Benin Expressway. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed that the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday. The passengers were said to be on their way to the South-East geopolitical zone for Easter celebrations when the hoodlums launched the attack, robbed them and set the bus ablaze. “It happened in Oke Ado junction at Ijebu Mushin. A luxury bus of Mercedes Benz was burnt down. The vehicle was coming from Maza Maza (in Lagos State) before it encountered the hoodlums,” the police spokesperson said. The 59-seater bus was said to be operated by Ifesinachi Transport Ltd. In a social media video, some of the affected passengers narrated how they were waylaid by the criminals who stole their belongings and set fire to the bus. One of the passengers said, “Ifesinachi Motors, we were travelling in the night to come back to the East for Easter celebrations, and criminals attacked us in Ijebu Ode along the Ore-Benin Expressway. “They robbed us of everything we had, they stripped some half-naked. They locked us inside the 59-seater luxury bus and set it ablaze. We thank God that we later escaped; nobody died but everything we had was collected. “We thank God that we didn’t lose anyone but we lost everything we were travelling with and some sustained injuries.” 🎥: @ogunupdate_
