NLC STRIKE: NIGERIAN WORKERS DECLARE NATIONWIDE STRIKE TO PROTEST AJAERO’S ATTACK

The organised labour comprising of Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria has declared a plan for a nationwide strike over the beating and abduction of their President, Joe Ajaero.
The strike scheduled to be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, was made known in a press briefing on Friday, November 3, 2023.

This is to inform all candidates who participated in the 2023/2024 Post-UTME that they can proceed to check if their names are on the Provisional Admission list of successful candidates. Follow the below Procedures to check your Admission status on the school portal.

LAUTECH FINAL YEAR STUDENTS DIE IN FATAL ACCIDENT WHILE RETURNING FROM EXCURSION

Some 500-level Accounting students of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Oyo State lost their lives in a fatal accident while returning from an excursion to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening around Ilobu-Okinni-Osogbo road in Osun State while they were returning from their visit to the waterfall.

The bus which conveyed the student caught fire while the cause of the accident is unknown as of the time of filing this report.

OAU BOW TO PRESSURE, REDUCES TUITION FEES

The management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has reviewed the school fees payable by the students of the university.
“Accordingly, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, graciously announced that the charges initially announced have been reduced as follows:

“For the students in Humanities, the initial sundry charges of #89, 200 for returning students have been reduced to #76,000 while the new students in the Humanities, the initial fees of #151,200 have been reduced to #131,000.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says plans to introduce the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode in the administration of its examinations are at an advanced stage.

YABATECH NOTICE TO ND PART-TIME STUDENTS ON COMPLETION OF JAMB CAPS registration

This is to inform all ND1 and ND2 students that the deadline date for completion of Registration on JAMB CAPS is Friday, September 29, 2023. All concerned ND1 and ND2 Part-time students are therefore required to complete the process unfailingly on or before the deadline.

Any ND1 and ND2 Part-Time students that fail to comply with this directive will not be allowed to sit for the 2023/2024 First Semester Examination.

Please note that Registration on JAMB Caps is mandatory as it validates Part-Time Admission details with the College and guarantees the processing of having JAMB Admission Letter.
