HOW I GOT TO THIS STAGE OF MY LIFE!

I went for nursing training in a hospital after series of trials to gain admission to study nursing in the university failed even when I scored 289 in jamb in 2012 yet I didn’t get the admission, after the training I started working but I noticed that I will do most of the job and those with the certificate earns more, that motivated me again to go back to school which I did but decided to try my hands out this time in a college of nursing which failed again, ohhh my God you need to see me crying like a 5year old child but while I was crying one of the students in the school a dental technician now, advised me to purchase pharmacy technician form that the department just got accreditation and we are supposed to be the pioneer set, so I summoned courage since I will still be dealing with drugs and patients which is my PASSION.

I purchased the form from the money i was saving back then because i want to go back to school, i went for the entrance exam and passed but my mind was still at school of nursing and midwifery because i love the delivery aspect of the job but instead of having nothing at all i accepted to go for pharmacy technician i never knew it was the hardest course in the medical field.

So I paid my acceptance fee and was given the prospectus in October 2019 that was when it dawned on me that all my life savings will not be enough to see me through school knowing the family i came from, dad is late mum is sick and siblings fending for themselves and I didn’t want to be a burden to anyone, so i declined the admission, cried and consoled myself.

Fast forward to January 2020, I got a call from my HOD asking me to get ready to resume school with the next set, I reminded him again that I was going to see myself through school and I didn’t have enough finance to do that, then he broke the good news.

He said and I quote “GET READY TO RESUME WITH THE NEXT SET ALL YOUR THREE YEARS SCHOOL FEES HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF”.
I paused for a moment and asked what he ment, that was when he said that the then PCN REGISTRAR Pharm Elijah Mohammed whom I haven’t set my eyes on up till today, came to the school for accreditation and saw my name on the list of students but I wasn’t in class so he asked why and the HOD told him I couldn’t afford the fees so he asked him to call me to resume with the next set and paid my three years school fees.
I cried but this time was tears of joy.

I started school September 2020 and today I’m a CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

I still have the dream of going for PharmD even though I don’t have the resources, MY GOD CAN DO ALL THINGS.
