Meet Nnamdi Ezeigbo the Owner of Tecno, Infinix and Slot Nigeria.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo was born on 4 August 1966 in Sapele, Delta State, into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Ezeigbo. The entrepreneur, who is currently 56 years old, is of the Igbo Nation, and he hails from Nsukwe in Ubakala, Umuahia in Abia State.

His mother was a petty trader who sold bread, and Nnamdi was always around after school to help her out in hawking bread, while his father’s occupation is unknown. He is the first out of the nine children of his parents. Coming from a humble background, he grew alongside his other siblings under the care of their parents.

The 58-year-old entrepreneur has modified his brands to suit the people’s choice, making it one of the fast-selling and affordable brands in the country. Currently, his brand has over 43 outlets all over Nigeria and has served as a means of curbing unemployment so far. The brand has been known to be among the best in supplying electronic gadgets and gadget accessories such as phones, laptops, iPads, laptops, and other electronic devices.

Nnamdi Ezigbo spent most of his early years in Delta State. He obtained his primary education at Pamol Primary School, Sapele, Delta State. Having a passion for education, he further obtained his secondary education at Ogini Grammar School in Abraka, Delta State, receiving his senior school certificate in 1984.

In 1988, he enrolled at Yaba College of Technology, specializing in Engineering, having a good knowledge of sciences, especially physics and mathematics. He graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 1996, he proceeded for his National Youth Service Corps, having his place of primary assignment to be the Nigerian Brewery under the Guinness Nigeria PLC.

Being a person who aspires for the best, he enrolled at Lagos State University in 1996 to study Computer and Electronics Engineering. In 2001, he graduated with second-class upper honors. He furthered to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology at Ogbomosho, Oyo State, where he bagged his master’s degree in information and management technology. The entrepreneur moved on to Lagos Business School, where he obtained an MBA. Having greatness in mind and determination, he proceeded to Havard Business school, where he also graduated.

On graduating from the university, Nnamdi Ezeigbo could not secure a job, so he registered as an apprentice to learn how to repair computers. The deal lasted for six months as he could not continue with his boss as he was after money rather than having a good relationship with customers. He moved down to Lagos to perch with a friend, where he had lots of customers. The entrepreneur also diversified into phone accessories when it was introduced into Nigeria.

Being someone who counts on having good relationships with customers, he was helped by one of his customers in acquiring a bigger shop. The customer helped him with printers which he sold to acquire a bigger shop to stand on his own. Nnamdi, who is hardworking, didn’t take time to raise funds to pay the shop’s rent, which was N180,000, and continued with his normal business.

Nnamdi Ezeigbo started expanding his business and customer base and bought over the shop he rented previously for 100 million and launched his business Slot. The business enterprise, which was launched, sold phones and phone accessories, laptops, and other gadgets. Though he was making it big then, he still moved ahead to develop himself properly.

Today, Slot is seen in states like Lagos, Abuja, Rivers State, Enugu, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Ondo, Kwara, Cross River, Osun, Delta, Ekiti, Edo, Abia, Imo, Kano, Ogun, Anambra, with over 40 branches. Today, the slot company doesn’t sell only the Infinix and Tecno products; they also sell other brands such as Vivo, Itel, Redmi, Oppo, and many more.

The entrepreneur is no doubt someone that aspires for the best as he set out to produce his phone brand in the 2000s. Seeing that the masses possessed more phones to use various networks, he set out to produce a dual sim phone. The entrepreneur met with Nokia phones to carry out his business idea but was turned down because of their gain in people buying different phones. Though it was discouraging, he still pushed on till he met someone who had worked in the Bird phone company during one of his business trips to China. The business tycoon didn’t hesitate to bring the technology personal down to Nigeria to register and produce a dual sim phone named Tecno.

The first production, the Tecno T101, wasn’t accepted in the market by Nigerians because it had issues with the sim working together on the same phone. This made him develop the second version of Tecno T201. This second version was a bit accepted by the market but delayed him in profits because he gave them out on credit. As of 2007, the want for the Tecno product rose, which made him produce more phones and equally advanced. Today, the Tecno phone has many models, and the purchase of the product is equally on its rise as almost everyone in Nigeria has one way or the other used the product.

The emergence of Tecno in the market did not take time before it became a household name and users all over the country. This also gave rise to the introduction of the Infinix phone to meet the demands of the higher, middle, and lower classes in Nigeria.

Recently, Infinix and Tecno have been among the most sought-after mobile devices in the market today. These mobile devices have been modified to suit the demands of every Nigerian this day, and his outlet, SLOT, has been a major dealer across the country.

Nnamdi met his wife, Nkechi Ezeigbo, for the first time at an Ikeja bus stop, Lagos State, before they took things to the next level after a few encounters. The wife of the entrepreneur is from the Igbo-speaking part of Delta State. She also started the business with her husband and is currently a shareholder in the company. The duo tied the knot in 1998 and has welcomed four children together since then. Nnamdi and Nkechi Ezeigbo are blessed with three sons and a daughter.

ABIA: IKPEAZU HAD ALL THE TIME, THIS IS OTTI'S TIME

ONWUASOANYA FCC JONES

If many of our political leaders had some regard for decency, Nigeria would have been a lot better than it is today, but we are in a place where boldfaced idiocy is often celebrated as smartness and the lack of remorse for bad outing or acts of corruption is seen as a hero act. I had heard a top politician tell his subordinates that he must be smart enough to keep enough money to bribe EFCC and other agencies after office, so that they would not disturb him. Apparently, many of our politicians have learnt that skill, because it appears that the EFCC and ICPC only know how to prosecute yahoo yahoo boys promptly, while politicians who did not only steal our money but also our future, are rewarded with higher offices, while their files are buried in dust at different EFCC offices in the country. The mystery of EFCC's accuracy and speed in dealing with so-called yahoo yahoo boys and other petty criminals while 95% of corrupt politicians walk free, will be a story for another day. For now, let's talk about Okezie Ikpeazu's shameless attempt at sharing in the credits of Alex Otti's rapid transformation of Abia State.

It appears, Okezie Ikpeazu retained all his media aides, and probably pays them better than when he was governor, because, there is obviously a well-coordinated and oiled media machinery in place, with the agenda to try to diminish the impact of Alex Otti's works in Abia State.

From claiming credit for the massive construction of roads across Abia State to shouting to rooftops about Ikpeazu's purported investment in Geometrics Power Plant in Aba, Ikpeazu's media is stopping short of claiming that the man who could best be described as "Wike's Handbag" saved all the monies that Alex Otti is transforming the face of Abia State with. And this is a man who had eight uninterrupted years as governor, yet, couldn't achieve half of the things Alex Otti has achieved in eight months?

Former governor Ikpeazu would have retained some honour if he had walked away or even went on exile, after seeing the "magic" that his successor is doing in Abia in less than one year. But if he wanted to remain in public consciousness, his media aides should have devised better strategies to keep him in the news without subjecting him to avoidable taunts with their revisionist essays about monies kept in RAMP and all such places. Apparently, they believe that Abians nay Nigerians are gullible. How would anyone expect us to take seriously any communication about a full two term governor leaving money for projects he couldn't execute, while pensioners, civil servants and contractors were owed?

One can understand that people's capacities are not the same, and we can tolerate an explanation by Ikpeazu's men that he, and indeed, his predecessors were not as progressively disposed and visionary as Otti. We would even forgive them, if he had come out to apologize for wasting Abia people's time, carrying Wike's bag around and even reducing Abia to the level of a beggar State by collecting alms from Wike's Rivers State. But, glorying in incompetence and steadily reminding Abians, Igbos and indeed, all Nigerians of goodwill of the disaster that Abia was seen as, for 24 years, is a collective insult on the sensibilities of all lovers of good governance.

Certainly, Otti will have his bad days, he might even get some calls wrong, or might get too excited with the accolades coming from different directions, but, if the tempo of the last nine months is sustained, then, his records are yet unbeatable in the entire Southeast and stands top among best performing governors in the entire country. The more anyone tries to diminish his performance, the more ridiculous such a person becomes in the sight of reasonable people.

Ikpeazu's men fail to realise that Abians are humans and not some type of robots or puppets who do not have their own minds. Across Abia State, everyone is joyful and excited about what Alex Otti has done and their faith is strengthened about the future of Abia. Instead of this disgraceful dance in public domain, all in the name of staying relevant in the scheme of things, Ikpeazu should feign honour by staying silent, because Otti's achievements in this very short time have lifted Abia from the place of ridicule to the cynosure of glory.

Okezie, like Theodore and Orji before him has had his time, and it was complete eight years. No one would say that he achieved nothing in eight years, but it's obvious, given his uneasiness with the sterling achievements of his successor, that he knows that he underperformed. He won't get another opportunity to correct his mistakes, because he will never be governor again, but if he can, let him return some of the monies he might have stolen, or kept in secret accounts, so that the man who has good vision for Abia and Igbo land, can put the money into better use in building what promises to be Africa's biggest industrial zone, the "China of Africa".

HIGH RATE OF DISINFORMATION AND FAKE NEWS AMONG THE OPPOSITION GROUPS IN ABIA STATE: A DELIBERATE ATTEMPT TO DISTRACT THE ADMINISTRATION OF GOVERNOR ALEX CHIOMA OTTI

In recent times in the political life of Abia State, disinformation and fake news have been introduced as new political strategies by opposition groups to deliberately hoodwink unsuspecting citizens and as well distract the government in power. The reason for this ugly scenario is anchored on politics of hatred and bitterness.

A study of human psychology reveals that while some people celebrate other people's successes, some others, out of jealousy and envy, seek ways to condemn and undermine such successes and achievements. This is a clear case of what the opposition groups are currently doing in Abia State, using twin instruments of disinformation and fake news to peddle falsehood with the aim of diverting people's attention against the government in power and at the same time trivialising the many achievements of the 9-months-old administration.

Considering the time frame spent in service by past administrations in Abia State and the few months spent by Governor Alex Otti, there is absolutely no ground for comparison. However, because visionary leaders have no room for excuses as they are always proactive in all they do to achieve the needed result, a comparative study of Alex Otti's administration and past administrations reveals that it is fair to say that in less than a year into his administration, Dr. Alex Otti has outperformed all the past leaders in the state put together, in many ramifications.

Years of past leadership in Abia State cannot be better described except as years of executive display of leadership naivety, wastefulness, and intentional punishment of the innocent citizens of the state. The pragmatic leadership style of Dr. Otti's administration has therefore become a challenge to bitter souls who, rather than acknowledge his swift transformative projects and policies, have chosen in their bitterness to unjustly peddle lies against him and his administration – just to score some cheap political points.

Consequently, the situation surrounding Dr. Alex Otti as Governor of Abia State can be aptly described by the Igbo proverb: "Nwata kpaa nkụ karia ibe ya, a sị na ọ kpatara ya n'ajọ ọhia." This proverb illustrates the tendency for people, especially those who have an aversion for success when it is not their making, to cast aspersions on the success of others, attributing it to dubious means rather than acknowledging genuine hard work, brilliance, and accomplishment. Dr. Otti now finds himself in this predicament as he labours to rectify the shortcomings of past administrations in the state.

There is no gainsaying the fact that Abia State has long suffered from ineffective leadership, resulting in dilapidated infrastructure, unpaid salaries, and a general sense of neglect among its citizens. However, Dr. Alex Otti's proactive and pragmatic approach to governance has led to significant improvements within a short while, which on one hand is garnering praise and admiration from the populace, and on another hand, has attracted jealousy and resentment from political adversaries seeking to undermine his reputation. This jealousy and bitterness are however expected because it is only a tree that bears good fruits that people throw stones at.

Nonetheless, the rhetorical questions arise: should Dr. Otti be condemned for simply fulfilling his promises as Governor? Is it wrong for him to prioritise infrastructural development, ensure timely payment of salaries, and promote economic growth in Abia? If not for sheer jealousy, envy, and shameless means to justify years of mal administration, why is it that despite Otti's noble intentions, he still faces unwarranted criticisms and smear campaigns orchestrated by those threatened by his effectiveness?

As Dr. Otti continues to face opposition from detractors and false narratives propagated by malicious actors, it is imperative to recognise his genuine commitment to serving the people of Abia State. While some may seek to diminish his accomplishments, the truth remains that Dr. Otti's leadership has brought very tangible and laudable benefits to the state, and his efforts should be better appreciated and celebrated rather than being undermined.

In the face of such adversities, Dr. Otti remains resolute in his dedication to uplifting Abia State and improving the lives of its citizens. His resilience and determination serve as a beacon of hope for a brighter future, despite the challenges posed by his detractors.

Ultimately, the legacy of Dr. Alex Otti as the Governor of Abia State will be defined by his unwavering commitment to progress and prosperity for all.

Every well-meaning citizen and resident of the state is enjoined to disregard false narratives being peddled by agents of failed governments of the past who seek to hoodwink the unsuspecting masses into believing falsehood. If they do not possess any sense of shame or penitence, they should simply accuse the Governor as being the reason for their nonperformance and failures over these wasted years.

My Ex Wife Blackmailed Me And Blocked Me From My Son Calvin Bassey Chinedu Ughelumba - Father

Nigerian Father from Ihiala in Igbo region of Nigeria hopes to make amends with his son, Calvin Chinedu Ughelumba, who is a defender for both Fulham and the Nigerian national team, IgbereTV has learned.

As a father, witnessing your son's success brings immense joy, but it is also disheartening not to be able to enjoy and celebrate alongside him.

Kingsley Ikenna Ughelumba, the father of Calvin Chinedu Ughelumba (also known as Calvin Bassey), is currently facing this predicament. Many might wonder why Nigeria's top left-footed defender doesn't share the same last name as his father. A gathering information from an interview Kingsley gave to a Glasgow Rangers media outlet in 2020 when his son signed with the club, Igbo History has discovered the truth.

Kingsley revealed that there was a rift between him and Calvin's mother. Out of malicious intent, she denied him access to all four of his sons. Despite his best efforts to reconcile, including taking the matter to court in London, she continued to bar him from seeing his children.

This unfortunate situation unfolded back in 2008 when a judge advised them to resolve their differences as a family. However, his wife persisted in denying him access to his children, resulting in his absence from their lives.

Kingsley shared with Totori news that he was blessed with four sons, with Calvin being his second. The last time he saw Calvin was in 2016 when he visited him in Italy, and they took a photograph together, creating a lovely atmosphere of reunion. During that time, he had access to his children. However, along the way, their mother poisoned their hearts, leading them to harbour resentment towards him. She even went as far as changing their phone numbers so he couldn't reach out to them as he had before.

In February 2020, Kingsley traveled from Italy to England and went directly to the Leicester City training ground to visit Calvin. He introduced himself to the officials as Calvin's father and presented all the necessary documents to prove his paternity. After verifying his identity, the officials welcomed him warmly and questioned how Calvin would be sure that Kingsley was indeed his father. He asked them to use a specific nickname that he used to call Calvin when he was young. When they relayed the name to Calvin, he confirmed that only his father called him by that name. Realizing that his father was there to see him, Calvin expressed his wishes for Kingsley to visit his home the following day.

However, upon communicating with his mother about Kingsley's presence, Calvin's mood changed, and he informed Kingsley that he was going out, requesting him to come back another time. Since then, Calvin has not allowed his father into his house.

Kingsley Ikenna Ughelumba, father of Calvin Bassy, remains hopeful that one day he will reconcile with his sons. He believes that he has done nothing to warrant the treatment he is receiving from his ex-wife and his children, as he maintained his love and care for them throughout.

Abia: Supreme Court re-affirms Gov Alex Otti (LP), Dismisses APC, PDP's Suits

The Supreme Court has re-affirmed Governor Alex Chioma Otti (LP) as duly elected and returned as Governor of Abia State in the 18th March Governorship poll.

The tribunal and Appeal Court had earlier dismissed both petitions and affirmed INEC's declaration of the LP Candidate as valid.

Membership and nomination are within the internal affairs of a political party, the Apex Court held.

Candidates of another political party cannot challenge the nomination or membership of another candidate from another political party.

Gov. Otti Commissions Abandoned Major Commercial Hub Portharcourt Road Aba, As Julius Berger Resumes Reconstruction
Yesterday, I flagged off the reconstruction of the 6.7 km Port Harcourt Road that connects No 1 Port Harcourt Road to Alaoji junction, off Enugu Port Harcourt expressway.
The road was originally built by Dee Sam Mbakwe, a former Governor of the old Imo State and a visionary leader who foresaw its potential to facilitate the growth of the oil industry in Port Harcourt and its impact on the economy of Aba. His foresight paid off as the road became one of the busiest and most prosperous parts of Aba, attracting engineers, contractors and businesses from Port Harcourt and beyond. However, over the years, it suffered from neglect and decay, forcing many businesses to relocate and causing a huge loss of revenue and opportunities for our people.
To restore this road to its former glory and to revive the economic activities along this axis, we have decided to entrust this project to one of the most reputable and experienced civil engineering companies in Nigeria, Julius Berger Plc. The contract will last for a period of eighteen (18) months and we are confident that they will deliver a high-quality and durable road that will serve us for many years to come.
I must also acknowledge some young men and women who have kept vigil on the ground since Julius Berger Plc started moving their equipment there. I salute their energy. We expect that on completion, the reconstructed Port Harcourt Road will drive the economic rejuvenation of Aba, and send a clear message to the businesses that had left that the Elephant is back on its feet, never to stumble again.

LP Chieftain, Obaze Shares Peter Obi’s, NYSC, WAEC And UNN Certificates (Photos)

Labour Party (LP) chieftain, Oseloka Obaze on Wednesday reacted to the allegation that the presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi has discrepancies in his credentials.
Naija News had earlier reported that the National Publicity Secretary of the Lamidi Apapa-led faction of the party, Abayomi Arabambi made this claim.

Arabambi in an interview on AIT, said the name written on Obi’s academic certificate from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), was different from the name written on the NYSC certificate of the former governor.

Obaze, however, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) said none of the certificates of the former governor of Anambra State was forged.

To shed more light on the authenticity of the credentials of the LP presidential candidate, Obaze shared photos of Obi’s WASC, Bachelor of Arts (BA) and NYSC certificates.

Obaze said the fundamentals of leadership are integrity and transparency.

He wrote in a post on his account, “As Americans say; ‘Trust But Verify.’ Here are Peter Obi’s WASC, BA and NYSC certificates all verified: Nothing Bogus, Nothing Forged, Nothing Ambiguous. The fundamentals of leadership are integrity and transparency. Comparably, verified documents from CSU Raised More Questions”
