THOSE TRYING TO DISTORT IKWERRE HISTORY SHOULD STOP
Binin people said IWHURUOHA means "Death will not take this one"
Now do not forget that the original spelling of that name is IHURUOHA which have been corrupted as Iwhuruohna only to fit their Binin origination narrative by few individuals.
Unfortunately for them they couldn't change the pronunciation and meaning.
In Ikwerre dialect, IHURUOHA means Face of the town, village or clan. "Ihuru" means Face or front while "OHA" means, All Village, people or clans.
In central Igbo language
"IHU" means FACE While "OHA" means All Villages, people or clan. For instance, OHANAZE meaning, All the clans of Igbo land.
The only slight difference is "RU" which often occurs in Ikwerre dialect, like the case of RUMU: meaning "Children" a prefix used to naming most of our communities.
Now it was the turn of the Binin people to tell us the meaning of IHURUOHA but the first thing they did was to try to corrupt IHURUOHA to Iwhuruohna in other to get that Binin accent but never considered the pronunciation and meaning.
Finally they concluded it means. "Death will not take this one"
The question now is: was AKALAKA having issues with male children that warranted that meaning in Binin language?
Do not also forget that Ihuruoha is the third child of Akalaka according to their fake history. A name with such meaning can only be given to a child if that was their only surviving child in accordance to African traditional beliefs. But in Akalaka's scenario, he already had Ikpa-Ohia (EKPEYE) and OGBA before IHURUOHA was born.
Why look for another meaning of IHURUOHA when we already have the meaning in Ikwerre dialect? Was anyone arguing the meaning with Ikwerre people or did Akalaka gave his child the name in Binin language?
Like the name "Ikwerre" which means "I have agreed" in both central Igbo language and Ikwerre dialect, that's how IHURUOHA means same in both Central Igbo and Ikwerre dialect but the Bini's were never satisfied so they ended up disgracing themselves once again like they did in the case of Akalaka.
Stop distorting Ikwerre names and stop corrupting our spellings, We're Ikwerrians in identity and Igbo in ancestry.
