I have noticed. There is something really interesting about the loo(Restroom). Anytime I go in there to handle my business, there is this wave of inspiration that h*ts me. I don't know where it comes from. Having noticed this reoccurring pattern, sometimes, I would go in there with a voice recorder to capture whatever comes with my loo session. One time I had a short story competition I was trying to write. Prior to that moment, I had writers block. I had trouble assembling the whole story. The ideas to the full story were sketchy until I went to the loo. It felt as though a part of my brain opened and the full story flooded it.
Maybe that is the reason why it is called a restroom. It puts your mind at rest while trying to work something out. You been there before?

As a job man in this Timber Market, your survival depends on how tough you can be. Mentally, physically, psychologically and if there is one more trait that goes with it, it is stubbornness. Yes. I have seen some of these boys go from soft to tough within a short period of time. How does it happen? There is a pattern to it. As a new hand, the old ones will come at you whenever an opportunity arises. Their plan is to test you. See if they can int|midate you out of it. Most of the time, it works. When the new hands experiences this more than once, it automatically makes them tough.
Majority of them seem to have this tough outlook towards survival. They dare themselves. They go at heavy weights with that tough mindset, disregarding the laughter and mockery that comes from their colleagues. It is never a comfortable sight at first watching them try it out. And this is why I admire them. They brave through it. They see the laughter and mockery as a form of motivation.
Around these space, they don't give you nothing for free. You will have to earn that bread and beans.

Last week Sunday during Mass, I noticed some persons looking towards my direction. To be sure if I was the person, I changed my position and the eyes still followed me. At first it was one person, but the number stretched to two when she whispered to the person seated next to her. A sister or friend, I am not sure. She stylishly opened her phone and showed her something. After few seconds her eyes widened. There was excitement in her eyes. I knew at once it was from Facebook. They kept looking towards my direction from to time and it made uncomfortable.
As time stretched, their number increased. A mother figure joined them. Same thing happened. The lady again showed her a video from her phone and a smile came upon her face at once. When our eyes met, she smiled at me and bowed her head in greeting. I returned the Favour. When church ended, I waited for the crowd to reduce before leaving. They left with the crowd. I came down moments later and there they were close to the gate on the look out for me. I could tell. The mother closed in on me and called me IHE. A smile came upon my face. She told me of how much an inspiration I have been not just to her, but her kids too. That she makes sure to share my videos with her kids because of its nature. I could not describe the way I felt. Her smallest daughter kept looking at me to be sure if it was the same guy from the Facebook. I thanked her but she said the thank you was supposed to come from her not me. She encouraged me to continue, that the impact is massive. I nodded.
I left them few minutes later and made my way home. In my mind, was a good feeling. A feeling of Joy. To all of you supporting me here, I am so grateful. Thank you.

The first ever inter state business I did from this space, came from ABA, Abia State. When the bro reached out at first and told me of his intention to patronize me, I was a bit unsettled. I thought the business wasn't going to work because I knew the cost of transportation would be a big factor. Bro, asked that I confirm the cost of transportation first. The driver who would deliver the tiles to ABA was asking for 350,000 as his last charge. Other drivers charged more. Bro my mind cut. Add this point I thought it wasn't going to work. I reached to bro again and informed him of the cost and bro sounded disappointed at first but later texted me and told me to be at ease, that he will patronize me. Bro, I was emotional about it. Bro said he wanted to support me having seen the amount of energy I invest trying to advertise my business on this space. Again, this bro has never met me in person. Every transaction was done online.
He wouldn't allow me tag him to this post. But bro, if you are reading this, I will always remain grateful. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. And to other persons who trusted me enough to patronize irrespective of the numerous stories surrounding online business, again I say thank you. I appreciate your trust in me.
To all of you who support all that I do, thank you so much. I do not take your love and support for granted. It means a lot to me. I am still open to doing more businesses with you this year. Distance will never be a barrier. I will deliver.

I have never been a RICE person. Nah. I scarcely eat rice. As long as there is an alternative to Rice, which is swallow, I am all for it. Fufu, Garri, semi, nri ọka and the likes. Amala too😁😋. And my favourite soup? It is a toss up between Ọgbọnọ and Oha. Well, Ọgbọnọ is king. It took me a while to realise this. I readily find myself pushing for the swallow. And looking back, I believe I got this appetite from my pop. Man is a swallow fan. Yeah. My pop will always prefer swallow to rice. Mama knows it. If there is one guaranteed condition to make pop reach for that plate of rice, then BEANS will have to be in the mix.

I never believed I would one day become a business man. I have always imagined myself as an office person. You know the mental picture already. Sit in that air conditioned, bright looking space while my long fingers worked on the keyboard of a computer. I also imagined myself being at the end of a waiting camera while it captured me talking. I have put in the work over the years to actualize this. I did to an admirable extent but the returns that came with it wasn't commiserate with the energy invested. Yet I kept at it. I had what it takes to cut it in the media and that believe kept me on that stage for long.
At some point I was adviced to think of entrepreneurship since the media investment wasn't paying off. I took a while to disconnect me from the camera. A part of me found it hard to let go. Finally, I made up my mind and got into the Tile space. Years have stretched and that passion for the media still burns within. Somewhere down the line, there was a creative spark to blend my creative energy to Tiles and it has been a beautiful experience.
Life will throw a curve ball at you, it is up to you to decide whether you catch it and dodge it.
