Dear honorable judges of the Nigeria Presidential Election Tribunal,
1. Justice Haruna Simon Tsammani
2. Justice Stephen Adah
3. Justice Mistura Bolaji-Yusuf
4. Justice Boloukuoromo Ugo
5. Justice Abba Mohammed
I am writing to you Honourables today to express my concern about the delay in delivering your verdict on the recent presidential election case. It has been almost 2 weeks since the case was concluded, and yet we are still waiting for your judgement.
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Firstly, I would like to extend my utmost appreciation for the time, dedication, and intellect that you and the esteemed members of the Presidential Election Tribunal have committed to the ongoing case. I write to you today with an unyielding belief in the sanctity of justice and the pivotal role that you honourables have play in safeguarding the democratic principles of our beloved nation.
With profound respect and great concern, I humbly inquire about the reasons for the delay in delivering judgement on the Nigeria presidential election case, which concluded almost two weeks ago. Our nation, Nigeria, stands at the precipice, awaiting your honorable decision to determine the course of our collective future. The hope of millions of Nigerians rests on your esteemed shoulders, and we eagerly anticipate your swift and unprejudiced judgement.
It is incumbent upon me to emphasize that our request is not tantamount to a plea for favoritism towards any particular candidate. Rather, we beseech you to adjudicate this case in alignment with the evidence that has been meticulously presented before you. Your judgement is the lifeblood of our democracy and a testament to the rule of law that our country prides itself on.
Moreover, I implore you, esteemed Judges, to consider the broader issues that our nation faces beyond the immediate verdict. Nigeria is plagued by numerous pressing problems, including corruption, economic instability, security challenges, and social inequality. While rendering your judgement, it is imperative that you factor in these intricate socio-economic and political concerns. The decision you make will reverberate across our nation and contribute to the resolution of these deep-rooted issues.
Your wisdom, impartiality, and unwavering commitment to justice will shape the destiny of our great country. As you deliberate and search for the truth, please ensure that your judgement is validated by the evidence presented before you and guided by the principles enshrined in our constitution.
Nigeria yearns for a justice system that is both fair and transparent, fostering trust among its citizens. By delivering an unbiased judgement, you will not only uphold the constitution and the sanctity of our electoral process, but you will also reinforce the resilience and vitality of our democracy.
In conclusion, I respectfully implore the Presidential Election Tribunal to put an end to the anxious anticipation that has enveloped our nation and fulfill its sacred duty by delivering a prompt and well-considered judgement. The hopes and aspirations of millions of Nigerians rest on your ruling, and we place our faith in your hands.
Thank you for your tireless dedication to justice, and may your deliberations be guided by the principles of integrity, fairness, and the desire to uphold the fundamental tenets of democracy.
Yours faithfully,
