Tributes paid to husband, father, son and rogue-turned-consultant

OBIT Kevin Mitnick, probably the world's most-famous computer hacker – and subsequently writer, public speaker, and security consultant – has succumbed to pancreatic cancer. He was 59.

Tributes have poured in from around the world following the announcement of his death this week.

"We've lost a true pioneer of the digital world, Kevin Mitnick," said Chris Wysopal, a former member of the L0pht team and today an infosec CTO. "His ingenuity challenged systems, incited dialogues, and pushed boundaries in cybersecurity. He will remain a testament to the uncharted power of curiosity."

Kevin's wife Kimberley, who is pregnant with their son, said: "Till we see each other again, I know you are here with me. I hear your voice. Our son will know you and I am convinced he will be a mini you. I am grateful we have so many friends all over the world who will teach our son how to hack and more importantly who the real Kevin Mitnick was."

Mitnick was sometimes known as the Ghost in the Wires after his book of the same name, and was an early celebrity in the area of computer security, as well as a sometime Register contributor. We could hardly introduce him better than he could himself: twenty years ago, we recommended his book the Art of Deception and he generously permitted us to publish its unused autobiographical first chapter.

As a teenager, Mitnick worked out how to obtain free travel on the bus system of the greater Los Angeles area in his native California, and later progressed to breaking into the computer systems of Digital Equipment Corporation and Pacific Bell. He served a number of jail sentences even before he made it onto the FBI's Most Wanted list. He was apprehended in 1998, and served about three years in prison, which he later referred to as a "vacation." On his release, he was banned from

After the whole Saga
Y' all still think ur website is protected by Cloudfare ☁️ security firewall 🔥

Stop playing 😎😎
I am recoding my Lucifer 👿 DDOS
And I have use it to sucessfully bypass some site running on Cloudfare ☁️ security firewall 🔥

Lucifer 👿 will bypass Cloudfare ☁️ security firewall 🔥 even if IUAM is enabled

No system is completely secure

It scrape and bypass Antibot mechanism of Cloudfare ☁️ security using get method
Just like using requests

Module used here is Cfscrape, Cloudscraper, Zenrow

Especially that Zenrow api is much more powerful to bypass Cloudfare ☁️ security under one requests

I can manipulate the web server host name and do more attack and so on...

Check the video there

This tool was written in 1,785 lines of code
I am adding more features such as getting the real ip address of website protected under Cloudfare ☁️

And so on

N.B: when web scraping with Cloudscraper and fetching token and cookies try use the same useragent and proxy u use in fetching those cookies as ur session will be tracked so that it won't flag u down as bot after solving the hard Cloudfare captcha challenge

For educational purpose only

I won't be responsible for malicious use

security bypass challenge
hard solving challenge

🚀Critical Vulnerability in WordPress Bricks Theme: Over 25,000 Sites at Risk of Active Attack ⬇️

✳️Threat actors are actively exploiting a critical security flaw in the Brix theme for WordPress to execute arbitrary PHP code on vulnerable installations.

The flaw, identified as CVE-2024-25600 (CVSS score: 9.8) allows unauthenticated attackers to achieve remote code ex*****on. This affects all versions of Brix up to and including 1.9.6.

The theme developers fixed it in version 1.9.6.1 released on February 13, 2024, just days after WordPress security vendor Snikko reported the flaw on February 10.

Although no proof-of-concept (POC) exploit has been released, both Snico and Patchstack have released technical details stating that underlying vulnerable code exists in the prepare_query_vars_from_settings() function.

Specifically, this involves the use of security tokens called "nonsense" to verify permissions, which can be used to pass arbitrary commands for ex*****on, effectively allowing a threat actor to access the target site. Allowed to take control.

Patchstack said the nonce value is publicly available in the frontend of the WordPress site, adding that no proper function checks are implemented.
“Norms should never be trusted for authentication, authorization, or access control,” WordPress warns in its documentation. "Protect your actions by using current_user_can() and always assume that nonce can be compromised."

WordPress security company Wordfence said it detected more than three dozen attack attempts that took advantage of the flaw as of February 19, 2024. The exploit attempts are said to have started on February 14, a day after the flaw. public disclosure.

Most attacks come from the following IP addresses:

🔸200.251.23[.]57
🔸92,118,170[.]216
🔸103.187.5[.]128
🔸149.202.55[.]79
🔸5,252,118[.]211
🔸91,108,240[.]52
BRICS is estimated to currently have around 25,000 active installations. Users of the plugin are advised to apply the latest patches to mitiga
