FCT Residents Live In Fear As Insecurity Worsens

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, are living in fear as the security of the nation’s seat of power has continued to deteriorate, Daily Trust on Sunday reports.

The city centre is not entirely spared as dare-devil car snatchers, armed robbers and ‘one-chance’ criminals have continued to operate there.

Satellite towns across the six area councils are the worst hit as villagers, almost on a daily basis, fall prey to kidnappings, robbery and bandits’ attacks.

Daily Trust on Sunday reports that in 2023 alone, no fewer than 36 people were killed and 339 others abducted from various communities in the territory.

Most affected were communities in Abaji, Bwari, Kuje and Kwali Area Councils. There were also pockets of incidents at villages within Gwagwalada Area Council and Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

The situation has forced some residents of the affected villages to flee their homes and relocate for fear of further attacks by criminal elements.

2024 Recruitment Of 30,000 Policemen Begins Nationwide On Monday – PSC

The Police Service Commission on Sunday said recruitment of Nigerians into the Constable Cadre of the Nigeria Police Force will commence tomorrow, Monday, January 8th 2024, throughout the federation with physical and credentials screening of successful applicants after six weeks period for receiving of applications in line with the requirements of the Federal Character Commission.

The Chairman of the Commission. Dr. Solomon Arase (IGP Rtd) consequently, told PSC staff at a pre-deployment briefing at the Commission’s headquarters over the weekend that “this is not merely a Recruitment exercise; rather, it is a saga – an epic tale where your actions will reverberate through time”.

He said, “Each decision, each interaction becomes a paragraph in this narrative, shaping the perception of our Commission and the legacy we leave behind”, adding that “commencement of the exercise marks the turn of a transformative chapter in the life of the Commission”.

The Chairman charged the Staff to “uphold the torch of professionalism and integrity and embrace this responsibility with the knowledge that your actions will resonate beyond the confines of the present”.

He added, “as staff of the Commission, you are entrusted with a job that carries the weight of our nation’s aspirations for a just and secure future”.

Continuing he said, “This recruitment exercise assumes paramount significance as the first conducted by the Commission since the landmark supreme Court Judgment of 20th July 2023 that reaffirmed the primacy and exclusivity of the Commission in recruiting for the Nigeria Police Force”.

Tinubu Orders Probe Of Edu’s Ministry, Vows To Take Action

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a thorough probe of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation led by Betta Edu.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, made this known in a statement on Sunday.

Controversy had enveloped Edu’s alleged involvement in the approval of N585,198,500.00 to be disbursed into a personal account.

In a letter allegedly signed by the humanitarian minister, she allegedly instructed the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Oluwatoyin Madein, to transfer the sum to the account of one Oniyelu Bridget as grant for vulnerable groups in four states.

Idris said, “In light of recent events, the President has directed that a thorough and comprehensive investigation be conducted to ascertain the accuracy and validity of the reported details.

“The government is determined to unravel the truth as it relates to this matter, and assures that appropriate action will be taken to ensure that any breaches and infractions are identified and decisively punished, in line with the Administration’s commitment to public accountability and due process.”

I have just spent almost three hours watching the documentary about T.B Joshua and here is my brief take:

1. The documentary will change little or nothing about the gullibility of false prophets puppets across Africa, especially in Nigeria, even though there is overwhelming evidence and testimonies by T.B Joshua’s disciples and daughter of his manipulations and wickedness. If you doubt this, go to the BBC page and read the comments there. The entire thing will make a small noise and business will go on as usual.

2. Years ago when I talked about the work of Camera men and the TV screens in the Synagogue and other churches, people attacked me. This documentary has once again proved me right.

3. Despite what the disciples think they know about T.B., they know so little about the man. They testified that the miracles were all lies and staged, and gave proofs, but they seem not to know the deep things about how these staged miracles were coordinated, arranged, and faked. In every church like the Synagogue, there are always small unknown faces whose job it’s to stay hidden and make miracles happen to the glory of the papa. If you have followed me for long you will understand how I know these things and with which authority I make these claims. Remember, I have been a disciple and a pastor before.

4. I am not shocked one bit by the whole documentary. I’m actually disappointed. It captured less than 50% of what I had expected. I’m however happy for the one soul that it will set free, at least.

Lastly, now that T.B. is no more, you should know that there’s an A.S. who has taken over as the chairman of the false prophets association of Nigeria and they all submit to their grand Lord of fake miracles, the D.O.

Abia Police arrest popular radio presenter for allegedly d+filing a 15-year-old boy

A Popular Abia-based on-air personality, Mr Chigozie Anumudu, popularly known as MC Manosky has been arrested by officers of the state police command for allegedly defiling a 15-year-old boy.

According to ABN TV, MC Manosky who is not a staff of any media organization operates as a freelance Journalist in Radio Stations within Aba.

He was arrested Sunday afternoon, December 31, 2023, at his residence following complaints lodged at the Estern Ngwa Police station by the father of the victim whose name is withheld.

The victim said MC Manosky took him to a place around Addrexx Hotel in Aba and gave him bread to eat, an offer he refused.

The OAP was said to have sl@pped him, and later cl on him. He allegedly slept off immediately and woke up Sunday morning to discover that his an¥s was p+ining him bâdly.

He asked MC Manosky what he did to him and Manosky thr£at£ned him that if he told anyone, he would k him, the report says.

As of the time of filing this report, Mc Manosky is currently being detained at the Ngwa Police Station.
