The event had its grand finale in Calabar, on the 30thth of September 2011, and Miss Precious Jeffery was crowned the first ever Miss Independence, in a well colored glamour and pageantry event. The 2012 edition of Miss Independence is poised at exploring Nigeria’s diverse potentials, showcasing Nigeria as a vibrant country with striking contrasts. Nigeria, a country with over two thousand years of traditions and culture, with one of the most modern life styles on the African continent is richly blessed with great potentials awaiting human exploration and harnessing.
