A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time and also bought a packet of cookies, then sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies layed, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading. When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also. She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought “What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!” For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn't want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “Ah... what would this abusive man do now?” Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half. What! That was too much! She was much too angry now! In a huff, she insulted the man, took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place. When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her bag to take her eyeglasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened! She felt so ashamed! She realized that she was wrong. She had forgotten that her cookies were in her bag. The man had shared his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter, while she had been very angry, thinking that she was sharing her cookies with him. And now there was no chance to explain herself... nor to apologize.

In life, there are things that you cannot recover…

One day a man slaughtered a fat bull and roasted it well, afterwards he told his brother :

" GO OUT AND INVITE OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS TO COME EAT THE BEEF WITH US."

The brother went out and shouted :
" OH PEOPLE HELP! HELP!!
A FIRE IS CONSUMING OUR HOME!!!"

Soon people came out of their homes but some pretended they didn't hear anything. Those who entered the house found themselves in front of a feast where they ate and drank until they were satsfied.
Later the man turned amazed to his brother, and asked him :

" BUT THOSE WHOM YOU INVITED, I DON'T KNOW THEM NOR HAVE SEEN THEM BEFORE. SO WHERE ARE OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS WHOM I ASKED YOU TO CALL?"

The brother replied :
" THESE ARE OUR FRIENDS, THE ONES WHO CAME OUT OF THEIR HOMES TO RESCUE US TO PUT OUT THE FIRE IN OUR HOUSE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN EXPECT TO COME FIND FOOD."

LESSON:
Know that those who are only with you when they have a need and ignore you when you need them are not worthy to be considered your friends. LET'S BE OUR BROTHER'S KEEPER IN SPIRIT AND IN DEED.

When I came across this painting ,I did a research to come out with this truth.though I once thought it was a lie.
This painting named “The Truth coming out of the well” was done by the Frenchman Jean-Léon Gérôme in 1896 & in attempt to explain it one story goes like this.
Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: “It’s a marvellous day today”! The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: “The water is very nice, let’s take a bath together!” The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns it's gaze away, with contempt and rage.
The poor Truth returns to the well and disappears forever, hiding therein, it's shame. Since then, the Lie travels around the world, dressed as the Truth, satisfying the needs of society, because, the World, in any case, harbours no wish at all to meet the naked Truth.

This is Jim Thorpe. Look closely at the photo, you can see that he's wearing different socks and shoes. This wasn't a fashion statement. It was the 1912 Olympics, and Jim, a Native American from Oklahoma represented the U.S. in track and field.

On the morning of his competitions, his shoes were stolen. Luckily, Jim ended up finding two shoes in a garbage can. That's the pair that he's wearing in the photo. But one of the shoes was too big, so he had to wear an extra sock. Wearing these shoes, Jim won two gold medals that day. This is a perfect reminder that you don't have to resign to the excuses that have held you back.

So what if life hasn't been fair? What are you going to do about it today? Whatever you woke up with this morning; stolen shoes, ill health, failed relationships, failed business, don't let it stop you from running your race. You can experience more in life if you'll get over the excuses and get on with living. You can have reasons or you can have results...but you can't have both.

Before King Ahmed of Ottoman went to war, he locked his wife (the beautiful Queen) in a private room and gave the key to his best friend Mousa and said: "If I'm not back in four days, open the room and she's yours ... "

He climbed on his horse and gallops off towards the battlefield. Half an hour later, the King noticed a cloud of dust behind him. He stopped and saw his friend galloping very fast towards him.

"What's wrong ?" Asked the King. Out of breath, his friend Mousa responded: "You gave me the wrong key"

What????

Can you imagine !

He didn't even wait for the said 4days before trying the keys.

THE EVIL YOU SUPPORT TODAY

Once upon a time, in the Kingdom of Animals, there lived a sheep and a lion. One day, the sheep was passing and saw a lion crying inside a cage, trapped and hungry. The lion begged the sheep to save him with a promise not to kill and eat it but the sheep refused. After much persuasion and for the sheep's gullibility it opened the cage for the lion.

Now the lion was very hungry, having stayed in the cage for days without food. It quickly grabbed the sheep to kill and eat it but the sheep reminded him of his promise. So they started arguing. They were still there arguing when other animals came passing and they sought to know what happened.

The lion and the sheep narrated their own side of the story while the animals listened or pretended to listen. After they had listened to them, out of fear and in trying to gain favour in the sight of the lion being the one in a position of strength, all the animals took side with the lion. In fact, they all said the lion had a right to eat the sheep. He owned the jungle and it was his right to eat. The tortoise however claimed that he did not understand the whole story.

Now the tortoise asked the lion to show them where he was before the sheep rescued him. The lion pointed at the cage. The tortoise asked him again, "Where you inside or outside when the sheep arrived?” The lion said he was inside. The tortoise then said to him, “Ok. Please kindly enter let’s see how difficult it could be inside". The lion entered and the tortoise locked him back inside.

In amazement, the other animals asked the tortoise "Why?” and the tortoise said to them in their shame, “if we allow him to eat the sheep today, he will still go hungry tomorrow and we don't know the next amongst us to be eaten. Those who do evil today will do evil again tomorrow.”

The moral of this story?
Don't support evil today because it doesn't affect you directly; tomorrow it could be your turn. Call a spade a spade; if it’s wrong, then
