This time last year, I celebrated valentine in the house of God....
Tomorrow, we go again๐
Sometime last week, my phone crashed and for some reasons, I wasn't online.
I couldn't create Contents neither could I interact with my audience.
It was so devastating for me.
Somehow, I managed to utilize my time into further research but along the line, I lost the zeal.
Being away from social media for a week, I had arranged ideas, topics and thoughts to share on my return but then this happened.
After i fixed my phone successfully,
for some days, I wasn't inspired anymore to share any content.
I mean, the content ideas were all stated out but I lacked motivation to type them.
Day one has passed.
Day two has passed.
All I did was scroll through people's content, engage with the ones I could connect with and study offline.
It became quite burdening for me, knowing fully well that it shouldn't be so.
I began to search for a solution.
Then it occured to me that I had taught my students the hidden secrets to mastering content writing.
Yes, I teach my students how to write even when you don't feel like.... It's the basics in content writing for me.
" Write as though you are speaking to a friend"
"Write without overthinking it"
"Write and write and edit later"
And then, I picked up my word note and started writing.
Now, here we are.
You needed to see the happiness that followed after.
If you feel you are the only who feel reluctant and inactive, do not beat yourself.
Restrategize and start again.
Anyways, I'm officially back here and I won't starve you of contents anymore. ๐

On November 2017, I got my first job as a sales representative for a herbal tea company.
It was a new company that came into town in the state I was residing then and so in trying to enter the market, marketers were employed in their numbers.
I was employed to work with the marketers and my job description was simple.
Sell a flask of herbal tea every morning and ensure marketers tagged alongside with me do same too.
It was quite a difficult one for me at first,
The thought of approaching a person and convincing him or her to buy a product from me gave me a heart attack.
As a teenager who just left her dad's provision business and gained an admission into the university, selling to people wasn't new to me.
Somehow, I managed to gather confidence and off, we began to hit our target.
At first it was tedious, gradually I adjusted into it, especially the part where I have to move around from store to store introducing the tea to them and letting them know why they need to drink it first thing in the morning before breakfast.
The agreed pay as at then was 20k monthly.
Sadly, I couldn't receive my salary at the end of the month.
I was to recieve my pay within Christmas week after I had completed a month. I didn't want to spend 25th December outside home so I needed to be home on or before that day.
My boss assured to make payments via transfer which I agreed to and travelled.
That was the end of the story till date.
But somehow, I'm grateful I took advantage of that opportunity.
It became the beginning of my urban sales journey and it has been progressive till date.

๐ As much as reactions and engagement are very important, that should not be your major focus.
Your major focus should be getting one step closer to your ideal Audience through each Content you publish.
The problem is that you overthink your content a whole lot before publishing it.
You want it to be too perfect just because you want to impress your audience.
But the truth is,
Your audience do not want too much.
All your audience wants is to catch a solution or an answer to their question through your content either in an educative form, informative form or entertaining form.
Content writing does not have to be hard for you.
It's just that you want it to be too perfect which is not possible.
Here's how to make it easier for you:

Get a book and pen:
๐ Start writing
Write as it flows.
The ideas, the stories, the incorrect english, write them all down.
Write until you are exhausted of ideas.

Type it into your notepad or Google keep note..
I do not recommend you type directly on Facebook.
Your contents might wipe out in the process and that can be very frustrating.
After typing,
๐ Read it the first time and identify a particular message the content is passing.
๐ Read it the second time and check out for grammatical errors.
๐ Read it the third time.

Publish your content.

Where you log out of Facebook and log in back in 10 minutes just to find out that your favorite influencer has made more than 7 post already..
You have to scroll till God knows when before you can find the one post you just published.
And sometimes, it doesn't even have engagement at all because your audience are occupied with most recent contents.....
But then, you can make your audience Keep looking out for you even when you don't post
You can keep your audience glued to your contents and this is how:

Quality contents refers to:
๐ Educational contents that teaches and nurtures the mind of your audience
๐Story telling that relates to your niche

Trust me, posting one topic everyday in each of this category within a space of 1 month would give you the result you are looking for.

THIS MORNING, A FRIEND OF MINE ASKED ME SOMETHING.............
She said... 'Blessing, how does affiliate marketing work?"
I was surprise to hear that from her at first but after much questions, it happened to be that she has been seeing evidences of people cashing out from affiliate marketing and she's a bit confused on how it works and if it's genuine.
I responded to her..."affiliate marketing is simply selling someone's product and earning the commission attatched to it"
In other words, you cash out just by selling a product owned by another.
No capital needed or shop rent paid...
But here's the thing, selling someone's product is not different from selling your own product.
The reason why you still feel affiliate marketing is not real is not because of the product you sell, it's because you have not mastered how to sell.
I have affiliated with a tech brand and I can tell you it wasn't easy but it sharpened my selling skills.
You can make good use of social media to sell out your products. You don't necessarily have to go door to door to sell.
All you need is to learn how to put your customer in a state to buy which is, what I teach on my timeline everyday.

This morning, while I studied the bible. I read an interesting chapter.
It was Mathew 21:18-20.
It was a story about Jesus Christ cursing a fig tree because it yeilded not fruit.
I could imagine how frustrated it was, to had walked up to a fig tree that had been in existence for years, been nurtured and watered, expecting to eat a fruit out of it but ended up getting nothing.
You could be experiencing same thing in your life at the moment.
Your business might not be growing.
Your finances might not be growing neither is your knowledge expanding.
None of the relationship you have built ended well or contributed positively into your life.
Truth is, GROWTH IS NON- NEGOTIABLE.
As a human, it is compulsory that you grow in all aspect of life.
If you are not growing, then something is wrong.
At any point in time in life, you are invested in something and it does not yeild results over the years, there are two things you must do:

Re strategize your steps
OR
โ
Cut the entire investment off.
Sometimes, the problem is not you. It could be a wrong investment, a wrong action plan, a wrong relationship or a wrong strategy.
Knowing when to cut off what's not helping you grow or not yeilding results saves you from a lot of high expectations and time.
Take time to build and nurture but also know when what you are nurturing seems like a time waster and let go of it.

Something happened today......
I walked out of my house today to figure out how I could correct my date of birth on my NIN.
The way this country is going, anything can happen and I needed to be on a safe side.
Being a very sunny day, I wore a very light gown. The heat this period cannot be described.
After much inquiries and walking under the sun๐ฉ, I landed at a centre but it was unfruitful. My date of birth could not be corrected there.
Stepping out of the centre, I saw a man selling fan ice. One of his hands was amputated and so, just one hand is functional.
It's really been long I took that and I thought to taste it again today.
I walked up to the fan ice vendor and the increment in the price of goods affected the prices of ice cream too.
Since the cash I had at hand was strictly on budget, I thought to get it some other time and I walked out on the man.
For some reasons, I didn't leave the environment immediately as I had other things to do.
Finally done with everything and about using the exit gate again, this time, the fan ice vendor called me to come patronize him.
I thought maybe he recognized me but that wasn't true because he spoke as though I didn't stop by the first time.
Here are two things I noticed from him:
๐ When he drew my attention to him and saw I responded by walking towards him, he opened his carrier and brought out as many ice cream as possible.
Before I could say anything, there were varieties available, I could pick from.
๐ He was courteous and all smiling.
This time around, I bought and he thanked me๐
Here's a quick lesson that stood out for me in this experience:

DO NOT GIVE UP ON AN ACCOUNT OF REJECTION OR A NO:
You don't have to delete a client's contact because he or she didn't buy your product at a first go..
Sometimes, you need to reach out to your ideal client more than three times before a sale can be closed.
You don't have to neglect an ideal client too because they didn't purchase your product.
A "NO" does not mean that a business transaction is over.
It could mean:
- give me more time, I do not understand your concept yet.
- give me more time to trust you.
- give me more time to make a decision e.t.c
All you have to do is to follow up frequently and politely ๐
