God in his Holy Book admonishes us to sow for in due time we will definitely reap in abundance and nothing will stop us from enlarging our coasts. we should never be weary because at our highest moments, the devil strikes, but we have hope in Christ Jesus so we have nothing to fear.

Trust in God, He is the almighty, His love is everlasting and He can not forget those that serve Him genuinely.

To enjoy the fullness of this grace we need a revival. We have to renew our spiritual life. As people called to christ, there are so many things we ought not to do. We need to leave a life worthy of emulation and not detest. We should let the fire of the Holy spirit burn in us and the zeal to represent Christ everywhere we are found should be what we yearn for. A true revival to bing forth a new generation of fine boys and girls wey love Jesus.

What a proclamation of faith by the Psalmist! He declares that he will not die, but live to declare the works of the LORD. If you read the verses preceding verse 17, you realize he was reflecting on the distresses he had faced and how God had rescued him in love. Some threaten our joy, health, family, ministry, safety, and prosperity. Others threaten our very life. It may not be surprising to me that there is someone reading this devotional who might be dealing with something that is threatening his or her very life.

In the same spirit of faith, declare that “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.” This is not positive thinking or having an optimistic worldview. It is putting our trust and faith in God who is able to rescue us from everything that is threatening our life. When He brings you through that situation, you will live to tell the story. You will live to declare the works of the LORD in your generation and those to come!

The LORD wants us to put your trust in Him in the midst of the difficult circumstances that might be a threat to our present, future, and our very life.

The devil has no power to kill, but he has a good timing, when you are about to die he strikes, he encompasses you like bees. He wants you to die far away from God and he will harvest your soul, he wants you to die unprotected. He puts fear into you, he encompasses you.

Mantle is the cloak as a symbol of authority. The Mantle represents a sign of the calling, authority and responsibility of the man of God. It is the mantle that gives power for exploits and to overcome Life’s Battle.

The mantle served the practical purpose of keeping people warm and protecting them from the elements. It also served a symbolic purpose, in the case of the prophets, showing they were wrapped in God’s authority.

Elijah’s mantle was more than the regular cloak that he wore. It represented as a Prophet of God.
A mantle is not ours for choosing, it is determined ahead of time by God.

✅ Mantle is given to those who are qualified
✅ Title is useless without the mantle.
✅ Mantle is given to people who are ever ready to carry the Legacy

The story of Elijah and Elisha centered this moment where mantles were passed to continue the legacy of what has been, preparing our hearts for what was to come in the future. There’s a poignancy about the succession of leadership we can see among God’s prophet that can still move us today, especially in these of seismic changes that are happening in the church and in our society.

Elisha picked up that mantle to carry on the work, and to make the work his own. Honoring the past and moving into the future with courage.

TOPIC: The way of the Ungodly shall perish.
TEXT: Psalm 1:1, Proverbs 1:10, Daniel 3:4-6, Proverbs 10:11, Deuteronomy 8:1-2, Esther 7:1-12

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The reason rendered of this different state of the godly and wicked. God must have all the glory of the prosperity and happiness of the righteous. They are blessed because the Lord knows their way; he chose them into it, inclined them to choose it, leads and guides them in it, and orders all their steps.

Sinners must bear all the blame of their own destruction. Therefore the ungodly perish, because the very way in which they have chosen and resolved to walk leads directly to destruction; it naturally tends towards ruin and therefore must necessarily end in it.

The Lord approves and is well pleased with the way of the righteous, and therefore, under the influence of his gracious smiles, it shall prosper and end well; but he is angry at the way of the wicked, all they do is offensive to him, and therefore it shall perish, and they in it. It is certain that every man’s judgment proceeds from the Lord, and it is well or ill with us, and is likely to be so to all eternity, accordingly as we are or are not accepted of God.

Sin can be enticing, and we can easily fall into sin. That’s why it is important to first of all not even “walk” in the counsel of the ungodly. It’s vitally important who you surround yourself with.

The ungodly are not so; they are not a strong, well-nourished tree by the river; they are a dry, dying heath in the lonely desert. Those who live in an ungodly way are not nourished by the godly fellowship of the saints; they are not strengthened by a perpetual delight and meditation on the word of God. Instead of being stabilized and strong with deep roots by a river, the ungodly are like the chaff that the wind just blows away.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WAY OF THE RIGHTEOUS

✅Forsake evil influences, forsake the way of the ungodly.

✅Delight and meditate in the word of God.

✅Live by faith, trusting in the Lord and not in man.

If we do these things, we shall experience fellowship with God in the way of the righteous because he “knows” this way. We shall bring forth fruit to God’s glory planted by the river of life.
