VOTE NOT FIGHT

The National president of Niger Delta Students Union Government worldwide, Comr. Scott Ogunseri and his led Executives want to use this medium to advise Niger Delta Youth and students especially those from Imo and Bayelsa state concerns the upcoming election.

It is rather unfortunate that today’s youth quickly forget that selfish politicians often use them as political thugs to achieve their goals and dump them after the election.

The youth especially from the Niger Delta region should have a rethink about being used during elections by selfish politicians to cause havoc in the states.

This is the right time for our youths to focus, find themselves everything they need to be great within them and therefore, should stop themselves from being used by people with vested interest.

It’s now time for Imo and Bayelsa state to realize that despite that they have been economically deprived and suppressed all they have now as a way of participation is to ensure that those who registered to vote should go out and cast your vote conscientiously and elect credible governors.

Anybody that advises you to waste people life in the name of politics, tell the person to bring his family members to join together, if they give you money to go and destroy people's properties, hold the money and give them a reason why you cannot do the job.

Let us join hands together and rescue the Niger Delta.lets shun every form of electoral voilence and stop killing of innocent soul.

The entire youths of Edo State have reposed great confidence and trust in you all by choosing you to pilot their affairs. This choice in the truest sense, is a call to service and it gladdens my heart that you have all accepted to serve. Unarguably, uneasy lies the mind that bears the crowd. Expectedly, you are going to journey along unknown paths and tracks which may be rough in some places, but, it is my prayer that you shall always triumph.

We used to have men like this on every street when we were growing up. They are always seated in front of their house in the evening either reading a newspaper or listening to news on their small transistor radio.

There's no small pikin they cannot discipline. 😁
Some will see you with a ball and start asking about your academic performance. 😁

If they seize your ball or kite, just go home. Play don finish that day o!

And if dem flog you, you dare not let your parents know. E mean say you don go do bad thing. Your parents fit give you additional flogging.

"Take your bike home and do your homework, don't you know it's past time for you to be on the street ?"

Then, it took a community to raise a child. Not anymore. Now everyone is minding his/her business by building houses with fence.

They were always either retired teachers, Nitel or Nigerian railway personnel. We need a return of those days, it was more peaceful and sweet, the whole community lived like a family.
