Happy New Year Loves 💕
Good afternoon loves
It’s been a while since I posted anything here 😩 I really missed y’all. I haven’t been active because a lot has been going on 😪
I hope we are all enjoying the holiday season
I want to ask one question
Were you able to reach your hair goal this year?
Good afternoon y'all
It's been a long time I posted any hair content out here.
Over the past few months it's been a little rough and I haven't even had the time for my own hair😪.
I am planning on cutting ✂️ my hair to start all over again. What do y'all think? I NEED ADVICE

+1today . Thank God 🙏for the gift of life
SIMPLE TIPS TO RETAIN MORE LENGTH
• Learn how to care for your hair yourself or go to a HEALTHY hair care salon that will work with you to maintain your hair so that it thrives. Also note that some amount of hair care is needed in between salon visits.
• Having a healthy hair care regimen which is appropriate for your hair type and lifestyle is necessary. With healthy hair care one size does NOT fit all. Some hair care practices are necessary (protective styling, regular cleansing, deep conditioning, moisturising and sealing) however, you must also know when to complete these practices and what products and techniques to use differs from person to person.
I retain length because I care for my natural hair correctly and I am consistent, although I haven't been very consistent with my hair care regimen recently.
• Get a regimen that's is tailored to meet the specific needs of your hair and suites your lifestyle and also avoid hair styles and other practices which your hair cannot withstand.
Woke up this morning and decided to take this picture and I'm really glad I did cuz who knew I could be this cute🤭🥰
So recently love's I have been slacking back on my hair care routine ever since I resumed school.
Ever since I took down my braid it's been almost a week now I have been been so lazy to wash my hair.
This is literally my hair right now if you, I currently look homeless while typing this but I haven't had any energy in me to do anything. This is just a gentle reminder that you can slack off sometimes but never stop completely
I'm still on the challenge to get my hair from bra strap length to waist-length although it seems like I'm slacking off recently but I'm going to bounce back and I'm also going to be dropping out a few more tips on the group so that we can pick up from where we left off😊😊

It's been a while loves🤭, I've missed y'all here and also my hair. My hair has been in braids for a while now and I've missed me styling it.
One of the things I noticed while loosen my hair was that it was very dry especially the ends so I was really careful in the take down process.
I want to give out a few tips of what I did before making this hair
• I washed my hair properly because I don't want a situation where I will start scratching my hair after one week of making it
• I skipped conditioning to deep-conditioning. Used a protein deep-conditioner because my hair will need all the strength it can get
• I moisturized my hair with a leave-in-conditioner and then sealed in the moisture with my favorite oil(DIY herbal oil). My hair definitely needs all the moisture it can get especially when it comes to extension that dries out hair.
It very important to prep your hair before putting it in a long term hairstyle. I will talk more about this tomorrow
The skin is giving 🍫😍😍
Let's talk a bit more about PROTECTIVE HAIRSTYLES. Most of you haveen seeing me flaunt this hairstyle on my story lately.
This hair style is not a protective style "Yes I said it!" I know most people know knot less braids as a protective style. if your definition of a protective style is one that protects your entire hair strands from external elements,
Then, it is a protective style by that definition.
But, a protective style most importantly should help in length retention and growth and that is why it is supposed to protect your hair from external elements so that those elements do not hinder length retention.
One major way to do that is to prevent your hair from drying out. Because if your hair dries out, it becomes dry and prone to breakage.
This hairstyle does not fulfill that purpose if am not taking care of it properly. It's not necessarily the hairstyle but what the hairstyle was made with. It was made with extension which can dry out my hair.
Therefore, what I need to focus on is how to handle my hair while on this style and when I take it down. it's okay if you break the rules once in a while girls, What matters most is how you take responsibility.
Also, if you break the rules, do you know what to do to ensure that your hair is not affected negatively? For every state you put your hair in, there are always consequences. Making sure that your hair is not affected negatively is what matters.
Happy Weekend loves ??😊

Season greetings loves 😘✨
A MISTAKE YOU SHOULDN'T REPEAT IN THE YEAR 2023.
A major mistake that ladies have been making over the years in regards to their hair which is one of the reasons for their stunted growth,
Is not "taking care" of their hair untill their hair grows long. However, owing to lack of PROPER CARE AND MAINTENANCE of her hair, because you kept waiting for your hair to get long before giving it the care that it deserves,
The long hair you have been waiting for didn't come. How will it come when you keep doing things to your that will hinder her hair growth. Saying that you will wait for your hair to get longer before "taking care of it"
Is just like a mother who says she won't feed her child because he or she is just a baby and would instead wait for the child to grow up before feeding the child.
We all know what will happen.
The child will eventually die before "growing up". That's the same thing that will happen with your hair.
Also,
Taking care of your hair from the early stages makes it easier for you to
• Get familiar with your hair.
This way, you get to know what your hair likes and doesn't.
• Not feel overwhelmed with the longer length.
Contrary to what a lot of people think, longer hair requires a lot more attention and work than shorter hair.
If you decide to start taking care of your hair then, you might eventually quit when you are faced with lots and lots of tangles and you have no idea what to do with it.
I honestly which someone told me about this in 2019 & when I started my hair Journey 😩??

Happy New Month loves ❤️
It's been a while we talk about hair care. Let's have a little chat about PREE-POO
The very first on the list of a good hair care routine is PREPOOING.
Pre means before. Pooing is the short form of shampooing. Therefore, prepoo signifies what you do before shampoo and it is very important.
Prepoo isn't just the oil or the concoction you mix together to put into your hair before you wash your hair. It also includes removing the shed hair in your hair and tangles that could get worse if you should shampoo right away.
If your hair is extremely dry and that is why you experience a lot of breakage. I will be talking about the PROPER way to DETANGLE your hair to achieve that length you've been aiming at • To prevent excessive amount of tangles in the hair when washing.
• To prevent excessive dryness of the hair which could result into breakage after shampooing.
This is why I always recommend that oil alone should be used/added to whatever treatment you want to use as a prepoo treatment. Because what oil does is to coat your hair strands so when you wash your hair, you wash off that oil and the dirt on your hair while your natural oils are kept. It's more functional than using things like aloe vera treatment or any other water-based treatment the major prepoo product.
HOW DO YOU PREPOO?
Ingredients needed: A spray bottle containing a liquid(water or aloe bera gel or okra gel or rose water etc), hair clips, detangling comb, any oil of your choice.
Procedure:
• Divide your hair into as many sections as you can and hold with your hair clips.
• Spray the contents of your spray bottle on a section of your hair for moisture.
• Ensure that section absorbs enough water.
• Apply your oil(not too much) on that section. Ensure it coats every strand.
• Detangle: this is very important part of the prepoo process. Ensure to detangle thoroughly. would give more details on my next post
• Put that section in a twist or braid to keep it detangled.
• Repeat the same on every section.
• Cover your hair with a shower cap/heating cap for heating purposes.
• You can leave it on for as long as you want.
After this step is the second step which is SHAMPOOING.
Messy high puff😍😍😍
Pls 🙏 don't laugh 😂 at the last slide
Let's talk about PUFFS loves ☺️
Puff is one of the styles peculiar to the afro natural hair alone and this in a way is a marker by which people judge how long their hair is.
Meaning, if I am able to pack my hair into a puff before you do, then, my hair is longer than yours.Infact, the common question people ask to ascertain if your hair is truly long or not is,
"Can your hair pack?"Or in more proper English, "can your hair be packed up?"
People rarely/never say the latter by the way😅 I remember I used to be in this category in 2020 lol 😂😂
Regardless of how the question is asked, the ability of your hair being able to pack into a puff is not a proof of how long your hair has gotten. Let me explain better before you argue 😄
There are several factors that determine how soon our hair can be packed to form a full puff but the major ones include:
• Hair density: if your hair is dense it would take more time for your hair to get packed into a puff.
• Hair Texture: Fine hair strands are more liable to get packed into a puff faster than that of coarse strands.
• Head circumference: the bigger your head, the more time it will take for your hair to get packed into a puff.
All of these should be considered. Especially if you don't want to end up ruining your edges.
Those with thick hair might have to apply more force to get their hair packed into a puff especially when their hair is still not very long with is the opposite for those with less dense hair
These things are quite logical, most of you just love putting emotions in everything. This is why one of my key advices is that you shouldn't compare your hair with someone else's.
No two persons are the same.Just focus on doing the right things to your hair.
