Chi omah, I had my first boyfriend when I was 18, and he was 20. We started talking online, and the chemistry was instant. When we finally met in person, I felt at home with him, he was tall, dark, handsome, and had a personality that balanced mine perfectly. For a year, we mingled, growing closer, but we had our flaws. He was overprotective, short-tempered, insecure, and overly sensitive. Sometimes, we fought, stopped talking, and I even cried. But even in that happiness, my heart wasn’t settled.
A few days later, I started distancing myself, using my exams as an excuse. I prayed and fasted, asking God for a reason to leave because I knew he loved me deeply, and I didn’t want to break his heart. Then, the reason came.
I visited my friend, who was dating a guy from my boyfriend’s school. Out of curiosity, I asked him what kind of person my boyfriend was he said all good things about him but said there was this girl at school he hangs out with...
