*ONDO STATE BAPTIST CONFERENCE HOLDS 2021 ANNUAL SESSION*
The 44th Annual Conference-in-Session of the Ondo State Baptist Conference Which begins Yesterday, Sunday, 5th September, 2021. It will last for six days.
The session, which is the largest gathering of Baptist faithful in Ondo State, will kick off with Emphasis Sunday in about 300-churches spread across the 18 local government areas of the State.
The theme for this year's conference is, "Finishing The Race With Joy Through Total Obedience." (1 Sam. 15:12; Acts 20:24)
The session holds at the Ondo State Baptist Conference Secretariat, Opposite Freeman Petrol Station, along Oba-ile road and it will feature Bible study, revival and fellowship programmes of the various organs and departments including the Pastors', the Deacons' and the Youth fellowships. Others are the Men's Missionary Union (MMU), the Women's Missionary Union (WMU), the Christian Education Department (CED), the Music Department, the Royal Ambassadors (RA), the Girls' Auxiliary (GA) and the Lydia.
There will be a General Session to be presided over by the Conference Chairman, Rev'd Dr. Blessing Eshofonie where departmental reports will be presented and considered and the newly elected Conference officers ratified. The ordination of 18 pastors will feature prominently at the session.
This year's conference will be the first to be attended by the new Conference President, Rev'd Dr. Saturday Ajayi Obateru after his assumption of duties as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ondo State Baptist Conference in January, 2021.
There are 35 Conferences under the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC) in Nigeria.
A communiqué is expected at the end of the session on Friday, 10th September, 2021.
