HON, COMRADE (DR) JUSTICE EWOH ATTENDED THE MEETING BETWEEN OML58 OF TOTAL ENERGIES AND HOST COMMUNITIES IN UBIE KINGDOM, AT AKINIMA IN AHOADA WEST COUNCIL SECRETARIAT.

Yesterday, Ekpeye Youths President General, Hon. Comrade Justice Ewoh Ph.D attended the meeting between Oml58 of Total Energies and host communities in Akinima, Ahoada west local government council Secretariat.

The purpose of the meeting was to address the issues of the protest and perceived marginalization by the host communities and to also establish a good working relationship between the company and the host communities.

During the meeting, affected communities captured as landlords to Total Energies for the Ubeta Development project presented two delegates each, to present their demands to the company management and other key stakeholders involved for appropriate deliberation and considerations, the request for this host communities were addressed by the company's representatives, which led to the adjournment of the meeting to a later date for renegotiations that will lead to the inclusion of the additional concerns of the landlords & EYC raised during the meeting.

However, the EYC president General, in his speech, emphasized on the issues of youth marginalization in term of benefits and entitlements from Multi nationals operating in Ekpeyeland, he further called for a renegotiation of the Ubeta project in order to allow for the proper placement of Ekpeye Youths in the scheme of things, and also reiterated his administration's resolve to operate an open door policy with the various Multi nationals operating in Ekpeyeland, for cooperation and harmony. He further declared that any company that is poised to refusing Ekpeye youths their entitlements, will be resisted by it's body totally;

The Chief Host of the meeting Conr. Iyekor Eyee accorded EYC Executive, ably led Comrade Justice Ewoh Ph.D a warm reception as the Apex youth body of Ekpeye Ethnic nationality, and the Meeting also attracted the attention of the Chief of Staff Government House Port Harcourt, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie DSSRS, Ph.D , Esq. who represented the State Government, and other dignitaries of both the state Government & Total Energies representative headed by High Chief, Ahiamadu Nnamdi, the Community affair manager of total energies.

*ASARI-TORU AGAIN? WHY THE WHY?*..unveiling a new Era for KRAKRAMA!

How come a land founded on the tenets of BROTHERHOOD invoking the spirit of LOVE, CARE, CONCERNS, ONENESS AND COMMUNAL CO-EXISTENCE has fast changed to what is perceived and observed today; a land of SELF, INDIVIDUALITY AND SEEMING FAMILY SHOW?

Noting without an iota of argument that politics firstly and chiefly is for the general good of a people, how come it is gradually becoming devisive and denying to someother who partake only as onlookers in the scheme of things meant for the general good yet smiling to hopes so far in sight?

Politics brought us as a people great hopes of a better, secure and colored future through it's democratic dispensation. The beauty of Democracy is again captured in it's description "the government of the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE and by the PEOPLE". Arguably, no two words other than THE PEOPLE appeared repeatedly in the descriptive text which reinforces believe that the people should be considered even the more.

Given this backdrop, a situation where the people are becoming expert onlookers while 'the persons' are the shearers of the common patriarchal matrimony would only leave it's communal development in the minds and not on ground as it is been experienced today.

Krakrama is MORE than just a Community and Ward Headquarters. She has what to contribute to the common trust and legacy of a beautiful Asalga of inclusivity.

Considering Krakrama for LGA Executive Chairman's position, and or Vice-chairmanship, Council Secretary, Chief-of-Staff, Chief Protocol, Chief Security Officer, Supervisory Councillor, Special Adviser and or Assistant, Committee Membership/Heads, State Board Membership Appointments would not only gladden the hearts of the long deprived people. It would ignite a passion to bring in the expertise for a legacy Asalga and Rivers State at large.

Whilst we wait for the voices of reason and goodwill to brood over this request of inclusivity of KRAKRAMA in the scheme of things, may I respectfully and piously take a moment of reverence in silence, laying wreathes of honour on the memories of the fallen heroes that brought, shaped and handed baton of leadership to what we all hold dearly as a binder - the Democratic Dispensation Asalga enjoys today.

This little Nigerian girl from Oba in Anambra state, Claire Uzo Elui has been mentioned by one of England’s finest citadel of learning, Sandhills View Academy as one of the best students in mathematics this week. She showcased an outstanding work to the staff and management of the school by fixing very complex algebra, surds, ratios amongst many other tough mathematical equations. This girl is not even up to 14 years and she’s already solving maths somebody in the university cannot solve. Her father is in Nigeria working hard to see she comes out standard and with the way it’s going, she’s never disappointing, this is why it is good to send your female children abroad than sending the male ones because the girl child makes her parent proud more than the boy child. Congratulations to little Claire.
