2 Things Igbo Should Avoid As Nnamdi Kanu Is Set To Appear In Court On/ 21/ October.

Nnamdi Kanu is currently in DSS custody and he is set to appear in court on 21st October for his trial.

Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB). Those in this group have been causing tension in the South-East since the arrest of their leader (Nnamdi Kanu). They have been engaging in unlawful activities which include the enforcement of Sit-At-Home on South-East residents.

However, here are two things I think Igbos should avoid as Nnamdi Kanu is set to appear in court on 21st October:

1. Protest

Protest is one thing all Igbos should avoid as Nnamdi Kanu is set to appear in court on 21st October. All Igbos should avoid protesting at the court venue on the day of Kanu's trial because their protest won't change the verdict of the court on Nnamdi Kanu.

2. Sit-At-Home

Igbos should go about their normal activities on 21st October instead of planning to Sit-At-Home in solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu. The IPOB Sit-At-Home is unlawful and Igbos should ignore any order from IPOB demanding them to Sit-At-Home on the day of Nnamdi Kanu's trial.

MASSOB Has Achieved Remarkable Achievements In Struggle
Gives Self Pass Mark

A leading non - violent separatist movement in Africa, BIM-MASSOB, clamouring for the resuscitation of the state of Biafra, on friday, gave kudos to itself and said it was making great strides in the struggle towards achieving Biafran Independence.

MASSOB however lamented the state of affairs in South East geo- political zone of the country by not having one of their own as member of the Service Chiefs stating that people of the zone have never witnessed the level of total exclusion in governance of Nigeria, the manner they are currently witnessing under president Muhammadu Buhari.

This situation, including the massive corruption in the NDDC and security challenges across the states according to BIM-MASSOB is the best opportunity that God has provided to set the captives free saying," exclusion of South East during security council meetings was one of the major reasons for the founding of MASSOB 22 years ago".

On The 22 nd Anniversary Of MASSOB

The movement directed its members to observe the anniversary with fasting and prayers, and in other not to become victims to some overzealous nigeria security agencies who may want to shoot at them, are advised to celebrate at home without street procession.

In its message to Biafrans on the occasion to mark the 22nd anniversary of MASSOB on Monday September 13th, Biafra Director of Information/Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to BIM-MASSOB on Media and Publicity, Elder Chris Mocha expressed satisfaction in the way and manner the struggle was developing in the international arena and listed some of these remarkable achievements to include but not limited to the following ÷

That after its formation on September 13, 1999, that MASSOB sent Biafra Bill Of Rights to the Secretary General of United Nations, Mr. Koffi Anan ( now late) for Biafra to be admitted as an observer status in one of the organs of the world body;

That BIM-MASSOB had secured the admission of Biafra as 46th Member-Nation of Unrepresented Nations and People's Organizations, UNPO;
BIM-MASSOB also enrolled Biafra Football Federation , BFF, to participate in all the Africa tournaments through Confederation of Independent Football Associations, CONIFA and have held several conferences at the United Nations, UN, to mention but a few.

A former member of the Indigenous People of Biafra has claimed that Nnamdi Kanu is cursed.

Former Deputy Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Uche Mefor has continued his attack on the group.

Mefor this time has claimed that the group’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu is cursed.

Mefor said both Kanu and IPOB were cursed due to the evil allegedly being perpetrated by them across the Southeast.

In a post on his page, the former Biafra agitator claimed that the land of the Southeast abhors the evils and injustice perpetrated by Kanu and IPOB.

He blamed the embattled IPOB leader for the brutal killing of civilians during IPOB-ordered sit-at-home, adding that the confusion will engulf the pro-Biafra group.

Mefor, in the post titled: “IPOB Nnamdi Kanu remain cursed-Nemesis/Karma remain in full gear until the confessions and the self-destructive expositions are complete”, said the infighting within IPOB was a testament to the curse on them.

According to Mefor: “In the fullness of time, humanity shall recognise and appreciate this fact that treachery does not pay nor does it do anybody or any group any good, IPOB NNAMDI KANU is cursed beyond redemption.

“The spirit of the land of our ancestors, the land of Biafra arbors injustice, it frowns at the abomination of crimes against humanity which go to the very heart of spilling of the blood and beheading of Biafrans by Biafrans on Biafran soil and the desecration of our heritage.

“The legacy of lies, of deception and of blackmail which we proudly fought against and which they have continued remains her waterloo. These IPOB NNAMDI KANU shall continue with the CONFESSION; they shall continue to speak in confusing, hostile languages among themselves until they completely expose their evils and atrocities by themselves and you know what? They have no control over it because cursed people do not influence what befalls or happens to them.

“The desperate, ineffective, damage-control manoeuvres shall all the more continue to expose the hypocrisy therein. They shall continue to lie from one level to the other and further continue to defend those same lies with other bundle of lies and deception until they destroy themselves by themselves and blame no other themselves.

How Igbo Are Causing Pain For Themselves In The Name Of Solidarity For Nnamdi Kanu

The weekly sit-at-home order by proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been causing sadness and pain for some people in the region since it began.

It will be noted that IPOB declared the weekly sit-at-home order in solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu and threatened that they would only stop after their leader, who has been in government custody since he was repatriated to the country, get his freedom. The sit-at-home directives, which always take place on the first working day of the week, have been thoroughly observed by the residents of the south-east because of fear of going against the proscribed group.

Since this order began, many Igbos have lost money by not opening their businesses on every first working day of the week, and others have lost their source of livelihood as enforcers of sit-at-home directives destroyed their businesses after finding them operating on the said days.

A few weeks ago, some commercial buses were destroyed and burnt down for non-compliance with the order.

Some traders' wares have also been destroyed by these groups of enforcers without considering that those whom they are causing pain to are also Igbos.

It sounds ridiculous to see Igbos causing pain and sadness to their kinsmen by destroying their source of income, all in the name of solidarity with Nnamdi Kanu.

Today, being another day of the sit-at-home order, there was a report about how a trailer containing motorbike spare parts was hijacked by the enforcers of the sit-at-home order and was burnt to ashes in Obukpa, Nsukka, Enugu state for not observing the IPOB sit at home order.

The owners of these items and goods that were destroyed by these hoodlums parading themselves as enforcers of the sit-at-home order will be in pain and anguish after losing their source of income.
