On the December 12, 2018, Aare Afe Babalola,SAN, was decorated as Peace Time Hero by Afe Babalola Beneficiaries Worldwide (ABBW) on the remembrance day of Ekiti war heroes. The ceremony took place at the Aare Afe Babalola’s Gardens and Hall of Fame in Okemesi-Ekiti, the home of the Legendary Fabunmi Isola Adesoye, the Generalissimo of the Ekiti Parapo War of Liberation in the 19th Century through the initiative of Chief Solomon Morakinyo Ogunniyi,the Amuludun of Okemesi-Ekiti and Publisher of Kayegbo Magazine .
December 12 annually has been named Afe Babalola Day by the beneficiaries of Aare Emmanuel Afe Babalola since 2018.
As the renowned media entrepreneur Kayegbo turns 64, Aare Afe Babalola prays that the Almighty God will continue to bless him and his family, and grant him longer life to keep serving the Ekiti State, Okemesi-Ekiti community and humanity at large.
