ADVICE TO ALL MARRIED MEN...✍✔

1. If you value your health and you want to live long and have a happy home, let your wife always win an argument. Trust me, it's the shortcut I know to peace of mind! Where there is no wood (fuel), the fire goes out!

2. Stop trying to figure out your wife or understand why she does what she does. It's a waste of precious time. Remember that you (Adam) were put to sleep while she (Eve) was being produced? How can you try to understand a piece of equipment that wasn't assembled in your presence?

3. Marriage is about ACCEPTANCE, not tolerance. Make your marriage relationship-driven, not performance-driven. She was NOT created in your image. Stop projecting YOU onto her. Show her the need for change through leadership, not coercion.

4. While a man is rational, the woman is emotional. One (the man) processes via his head, and the other processes things through her heart (emotions). One thinks things through, the other feels her way through things. Facts drive you. Intuition drives her. What she can't FEEL, she doesn't SEE!

5. When s*x becomes a weapon, a duty, or an entitlement, it loses its very essence, LOVE-MAKING. It simply becomes another chore like dishwashing which nobody looks forward to doing! Play with her. Whatever you call your wife, that is what she will reflect on you. If you call your wife a Jezebel, we need to check if your middle name isn't Ahab! Call her your Queen and she will make you her crown! It takes one to find one! When you see the glory of your Father in her, you will be a great Son-in-law too! You may not be familiar with their faces if you were born in the late 90s, but these guys were movie stars in Nollywood.

Today's episode of Naija Stories is on the life and times of Taiwo & Kehinde Osuolale, popularly known as Ibeji Oran (Mysterious Twins) in the Yoruba movie genre.

They shot into limelight in 1993 when they featured in an epic movie entitled, Ìdè (bo***ge), produced by late Yekini Ajileye in 1993. The success of that movie turned them into instant celebrities.

Most people took interest in the twins because of their looks which many couldn't explain at the time and just concluded that they were special.

In actual fact, the popular twins were victims of PROGERIA (a rare genetic condition that results in a child's body aging rapidly), this deficiency in appearance made the twins look fearful with their head disproportionately too large for their thin neck and aged faces, veins were visible all over their head and hands, their face was narrow with small lower jaws and beaked nose.

Despite the look, the twins were a delight on the screen of yoruba movie lovers in the 90's. That gave them fame, fortune and some of the good things of life.

The twins got married to the love of their lives. They owned houses and businesses and were both blessed with children.

They lived for 40 years before Taiwo passed on just few months after the death of his other half, Kehinde.

In all, I can say they lived well regardless of their health challenges. They had an opportunity, took it, and lived their best life.

In 1998, Taiwo and Kehinde traveled to Ile Ife to attend my uncle's wedding along with other famous people. That Friday night, we both slept in the same bed, but I was merely staring at their hairless heads and brown scars to realize they were a unique creature.

I hope they serve as inspiration to us not to stop working to live our best life, regardless of whatever issues we may have.

Tension As NEMA Issues Flood Alert To 13 States Over Release Of Water From Lagdo Dam (See List)


The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has put 13 states across Nigeria on red alert about potential massive flooding following plans by Cameroon to release water from the Lagdo Dam.

The alert was issued by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) following a notification from the Foreign Affairs Ministry that Cameroon plans to open the Lagdo Dam.

NEMA also warned that Kainji, Shiroro and Jebba dams could overflow between now and the end of October, thus worsening the flood situation in the states.

According to NEMA, the states likely to be affected are : Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, Niger, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Kogi, Edo, Delta, Anambra, Cross River, Rivers and Bayelsa.

NEMA issued the alert following a notification from the Foreign Affairs Ministry that Cameroon plans to open the Lagdo Dam.

In the letter signed by Ambassador Umar Salisu, the Director, African Affairs, the foreign affairs ministry said efforts should be put in place to mitigate ravages of the flood especially in areas that may be impacted by the opening of the Dam.

The statement reads: “I have the honour to inform that the ministry is in receipt of a note verbale from the High Commission of Republic of Cameroon informing that Cameroonian officials have resolved to open the flood gate of Lagdo Dam in the Benue River in days ahead due to heavy rainfall around the dam catchment area in the Northern Cameroon.

“According to the note, it is pertinent to note that when the release of water becomes necessary, the authorities of Lagdo Dams will be releasing only modulated variable small amount of water at a time in order to mitigate and avoid damages that the release may cause along River Benue Basin in both Cameroon and Nigeria.
